Eph 2:10 No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing. MSG

Rom 8:29 For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren. AMP

Rom 8:29 God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him. MSG

DIRT- dusty or dirty (soil-like), terrene: - earthy.
HEAVENLY- above the sky: celestial, (in) heaven (-ly), high. In or above heaven, heavenly existing in heaven: the things that take place in heaven, i. e. the purposes of God to grant salvation to men through the death of Christ: the heavenly regions, the abode of God and angels: the heavenly temple or sanctuary: of heavenly origin and nature.
Eph 2:19 Therefore you are no longer outsiders (exiles, migrants, and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens), but you now share citizenship with the saints (God's own people, consecrated and set apart for Himself); and you belong to God's [own] household. AMP

We are an inheritance because we are heirs as children and sons of God. Inheritance means to possess a reward As children of God He is our inheritance

We have obtained an inheritance -- "a lot." Hence, the verb means literally "to determine, choose, or assign by lot." From the custom of assigning portions of land by lot, acquires the meaning of "that which is thus assigned; the possession or portion of land." "An heir" The literal sense is "we were designated as a heritage." "were made a heritage." "a people of inheritance"
