POWER IN THE HOLY SPIRIT 12-16-19 VIDEO

The need for power in the church today is so necessary. So much of the world needs to be touched healed delivered and changed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told them his disciples to wait until they receive power from on high. Power is Dunamis power. Yes it is to do miracles but its the power to be transformed, changed. This power that came upon them was to take a man and make him thoroughly like Christ. To take a sinner and wash him and make him pure and white and clean. It was to anoint him with the Holy Spirit who changes the substance of his body. He lives in him until his body, blood, flesh, bones, soul, and spirit are all the soul, spirit, body, and blood of the son of God.

Jesus did not die as a martyr he died as a king. King of kings. He was a conqueror. He went after something, death hell and the grave. He rose having conquered them all.

As we get ready to celebrate Christmas lets remember what and who we are celebrating. This memorial of Jesus Christ you came as a baby vulnerable and sweet and who is now seated forever at the right hand of the Father. This is why the heavenly host rejoice and worshipped and announced his arrival to the shepherds.

LUKE 2:8 That night, in a field near Bethlehem, there were shepherds watching over their flocks.

9Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared in radiant splendor before them, lighting up the field with the blazing glory of God, and the shepherds were terrified!

10But the angel reassured them, saying, Dont be afraid. For I have come to bring you good news, the most joyous news the world has ever heard! And it is for everyone everywhere!

11For today in Bethlehem a rescuer was born for you. He is the Lord Yahweh, the Messiah.

12 You will recognize him by this miracle sign: You will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth and lying in a feeding trough!

13Then all at once, a vast number of glorious angels appeared, the very armies of heaven! And they all praised God, singing:

14Glory to God in the highest realms of heaven! For there is peace and a good hope given to the sons of men.

15When the choir of angels disappeared back to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, Lets go! Lets hurry and find this Word that is born in Bethlehem and see for ourselves what the Lord has revealed to us.

16 So they ran into the village and found their way to Mary and Joseph. And there was the baby, lying in a feeding trough. TPT

ACTS 13:34 God had promised to not let him decay in the tomb or face destruction again, so God raised him from the dead. He gave this promise in the Psalms: I will give to you what I gave to David: Faithful mercies that you can trust.

35He explains it further in another Psalm: You will not allow your holy one

to experience bodily decay.

36This cannot be a reference to David, for after he passionately served Gods desires for his generation, he died. He was buried with his ancestors and his body experienced decay.

37But the one whom God raised from the dead has never experienced corruption in any form.

38So listen, friends! Through this Jesus, the forgiveness of sins is offered to you. 39Everyone who believes in him is set free from sin and guiltsomething the law of Moses had no power to do. TPT

1 Cor 15:55 O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?

56 Now sin is the sting of death, and sin exercises its power [upon the soul] through [the abuse of] the Law.

57 But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose]. AMP

↕↕↕

1 COR 15:55 So death, tell me, where is your victory? Tell me death, where is your sting?

56It is sin that gives death its sting and the law that gives sin its power.

57But we thank God for giving us the victory as conquerors through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One.

58So now, beloved ones, stand firm and secure. Live your lives with an unshakable confidence. We know that we prosper and excel in every season by serving the Lord, because we are assured that our union with the Lord makes our labor productive with fruit that endures TPT

Rom 6:5 For if we have become one with Him by sharing a death like His, we shall also be [one with Him in sharing] His resurrection [by a new life lived for God].

6 We know that our old (unrenewed) self was nailed to the cross with Him in order that [our] body [which is the instrument] of sin might be made ineffective and inactive for evil, that we might no longer be the slaves of sin.

7 For when a man dies, he is freed (loosed, delivered) from [the power of] sin [among men].

8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,

9 Because we know that Christ (the Anointed One), being once raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has power over Him.

10 For by the death He died, He died to sin [ending His relation to it] once for all; and the life that He lives, He is living to God [in unbroken fellowship with Him]. AMP

↕↕↕

ROM 6:5 For since we are permanently grafted into him to experience a death like his, then we are permanently grafted into him to experience a resurrection like his and the new life that it imparts.

6Could it be any clearer that our former identity is now and forever deprived of its power? For we were co-crucified with him to dismantle the stronghold of sin within us, so that we would not continue to live one moment longer submitted to sins power.

7Obviously, a dead person is incapable of sinning.

8And if we were co-crucified with the Anointed One, we know that we will also share in the fullness of his life.

9And we know that since the Anointed One has been raised from the dead to die no more, his resurrection life has vanquished death and its power over him is finished.

10For by his sacrifice he died to sins power once and for all, but he now lives continuously for the Fathers pleasure. TPT

ACTS 2:1 On the day Pentecost was being fulfilled, all the disciples were gathered in one place.

2Suddenly they heard the sound of a violent blast of wind rushing into the house] from out of the heavenly realm. The roar of the wind was so overpowering it was all anyone could bear!

3Then all at once a pillar of fire appeared before their eyes. It separated into tongues of fire that engulfed each one of them.

4They were all filled and equipped with the Holy Spirit and were inspired] to speak in tonguesempowered by the Spirit to speak in languages they had never learned! TPT

COL 1:26 There is a divine mysterya secret surprise that has been concealed from the world for generations, but now its being revealed, unfolded and manifested for every holy believer to experience.

27Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone to know it!

28-29 Christ is our message! We preach to awaken hearts and bring every person into the full understanding of truth. It has become my inspiration and passion in ministry to labor with a tireless intensity, with his power flowing through me, to present to every believer the revelation of being his perfect one in Jesus Christ. EPH 4:8 This is why he says: He ascends into the heavenly heightstaking his many captured ones with him,and gifts were given to men.

9He ascended means that he returned to heaven, after he had first descended from the heights of heaven, even descending as far as the lowest parts of the earth.

10The same one who descended is also the one who ascended above the heights of heaven, in order to begin the restoration and fulfillment of all things.

11And he has appointed some with grace to be apostles, and some with grace to be prophets, and some with grace to be evangelists, and some with grace to be pastors, and some with grace to be teachers.

12And their calling is to nurture and prepare all the holy believers to do their own works of ministry, and as they do this they will enlarge and build up the body of Christ.

13These grace ministries will function until we all attain oneness in the faith, until we all experience the fullness of what it means to know the Son of God, and finally we become one perfect man with the full dimensions of spiritual maturity and fully developed in the abundance of Christ. TPT
