Overcoming depression and sadness. In the world there is a sadness or an overwhelming sense of depression concerning the future. But we are not of the world. We are the light. Depression is an illness that affects the body the mood, the thoughts. It affects how a person thinks about himself. Its a loss of interest in things that you once were interested in. Knowing God and the good plans he has for us overcomes sadness. The first degree of depression is dejection. loneliness of spirit, a feeling of fatigue or tiredness. God will fulfill our longings. Phil 3:13 I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,
14 I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward. AMP
Phil 3:13 Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward to Jesus.
14 I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back. MSG
Phil 3:13I dont depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead.
14I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus. TPT

Heb 10:35 Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward.
36 For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.
37 For still a little while (a very little while), and the Coming One will come and He will not delay.
38 But the just shall live by faith [My righteous servant shall live by his conviction respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, and holy fervor born of faith and conjoined with it]; and if he draws back and shrinks in fear, My soul has no delight or pleasure in him.
39 But our way is not that of those who draw back to eternal misery (perdition) and are utterly destroyed, but we are of those who believe [who cleave to and trust in and rely on God through Jesus Christ, the Messiah] and by faith preserve the soul. AMP
Heb 10:35 So don't throw it all away now. You were sure of yourselves then. It's still a sure thing!
36 But you need to stick it out, staying with God's plan so you'll be there for the promised completion.
37 It won't be long now, he's on the way; he'll show up most any minute.
38 But anyone who is right with me thrives on loyal trust; if he cuts and runs, I won't be very happy.
39 But we're not quitters who lose out. Oh, no! We'll stay with it and survive, trusting all the way. MSG
Heb 10:35 So dont lose your bold, courageous faith, for you are destined for a great reward!
36You need the strength of endurance to reveal the poetry of Gods will and then you receive the promise in full.
37For soon and very soon,The One who is appearing will come without delay!
38And he also says, My righteous ones will live from my faith. But if fear holds them back,my soul is not content with them!
39But we are certainly not those who are held back by fear and perish; we are among those who have faith and experience true life! TPT

Rom 5:3 Our blissful boasting in him remains uninterrupted in times of trouble; we know that pressure reveals patience. Tribulation does not have what it takes to nullify what hope knows we have!

5 this kind of hope does not disappoint; the gift of the Holy Spirit completes our every expectation and ignites the love of God within us like an artesian well. Mirror

2 Cor 4:7 However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.
8 We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair;
9 We are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed;
2 Cor 4:7 If you only look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives. That's to prevent anyone from confusing God's incomparable power with us.
8 As it is, there's not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we're not much to look at. We've been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we're not demoralized; we're not sure what to do,
9 but we know that God knows what to do; we've been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn't left our side; we've been thrown down, but we haven't broken. MSG ↕↕↕
2 Cor 4:7 We are like common clay jars that carry this glorious treasure within, so that the extraordinary overflow of power will be seen as Gods, not ours.
8Though we experience every kind of pressure, were not crushed. At times we dont know what to do, but quitting is not an option.
9We are persecuted by others, but God has not forsaken us. We may be knocked down, but not out. TPT

Overshadow them by your glory-presence. Keep them from these accusations, the brutal insults of evil men. Tuck them safely away in the tabernacle where you dwell.
21The name of the Lord is blessed and lifted high! For his marvelous miracle of mercy protected me when I was overwhelmed by my enemies.
22I spoke hastily when I said, The Lord has deserted me. For in truth, you did hear my prayer and came to rescue me.
23Listen to me, all you godly ones: Love the Lord with passion! The Lord protects and preserves all those who are loyal to him. But he pays back in full all those who reject him in their pride.
24So cheer up! Take courage all you who love him. Wait for him to break through for you, all who trust in him! TPT
