BROKENHEARTED- Overwhelmed by grief or disappointment. Inwardly shattered. God is contrary to conventional wisdom, God does help those who can not help themselves.
Jer 8:21 For my dear broken people, I'm heartbroken. I weep, seized by grief.
22 Are there no healing ointments in Gilead? Isn't there a doctor in the house?
So why can't something be done to heal and save my dear, dear people? MSG
Jer 6:14 My people are broken shattered! and they put on band-aids,
Saying, 'It's not so bad. You'll be just fine.' But things are not 'just fine'! MSG
Job 17:11 My days are past, my purposes and plans are frustrated; even the thoughts (desires and possessions) of my heart [are broken off].
12 These [thoughts] extend from the night into the day, [so that] the light is short because of darkness.
13 But if I look to Sheol (the unseen state) as my abode, if I spread my couch in the darkness,
14 If I say to the grave and corruption, You are my father, and to the worm [that feeds on decay], You are my mother and my sister [because I will soon be closest to you],
15 Where then is my hope? And if I have hope, who will see [its fulfillment]?
2 Cor 1:8 For we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about the affliction and oppressing distress which befell us in [the province of] Asia, how we were so utterly and unbearably weighed down and crushed that we despaired even of life [itself].
9 Indeed, we felt within ourselves that we had received the [very] sentence of death, but that was to keep us from trusting in and depending on ourselves instead of on God Who raises the dead.
10 [For it is He] Who rescued and saved us from such a perilous death, and He will still rescue and save us; in and on Him we have set our hope (our joyful and confident expectation) that He will again deliver us [from danger and destruction and draw us to Himself], AMP

Heb 4:15 For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.
16 Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]. Heb 4:15 For we do not have a High Priest who is not able to enter experientially into a fellow feeling with our infirmities, but one who has been tempted and tested in all points like as we are, without sin. Let us be coming therefore with boldness to the throne of grace, in order that we may procure mercy and find grace for seasonable help. WUEST
TOUCHED-to be affected with the same feeling as another, to sympathize with in reference to the wretched, to feel for, have compassion on, to be touched with the feeling of. He was despised, forsaken, a man of sorrows, acquainted with sorrows, Stone the builders rejected. He came to His own and they received Him not. He was hated without cause. Sweating blood, Marred more than any other.

Ps 69:20 Insults and reproach have broken my heart; I am full of heaviness and I am distressingly sick. I looked for pity, but there was none, and for comforters, but I found none. AMP

Prov 18:14 The strong spirit of a man sustains him in bodily pain or trouble, but a weak and broken spirit who can raise up or bear? AMP
SPIRIT- Not Holy Spirit but human spirit can be used of heart. the spirit (as the seat of emotion) desire sorrow, trouble, as the seat or organ of mental acts
Prov 14:30 A calm and undisturbed mind and heart are the life and health of the body, but envy, jealousy, and wrath are like rottenness of the bones. AMP
Prov 17:22 A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones. AMP
Prov 15:13 A glad heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken. AMP
Isa 61:1 THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound, AMP
