LETTING GO & LETTING GOD 3-3-17 VIDEO LET GO

Luke 14:26 "Anyone who comes to me but refuses to let go of father, mother, spouse, children, brothers, sisters yes, even one's own self! can't be my disciple.  MSG

Mark 10:27 Jesus was blunt: "No chance at all if you think you can pull it off by yourself. Every chance in the world if you let God do it." MSG

Rom 11:7 And then what happened? Well, when Israel tried to be right with God on her own, pursuing her own self-interest, she didn't succeed. The chosen ones of God were those who let God pursue his interest in them, and as a result received his stamp of legitimacy. The "self-interest Israel" became thick-skinned toward God. MSG

Rom 9:32 How could they miss it? Because instead of trusting God, they took over. They were absorbed in what they themselves were doing. They were so absorbed in their "God projects" that they didn't notice God right in front of them, like a huge rock in the middle of the road. And so they stumbled into him and went sprawling.  MSG

Prov 18:2 A [self-confident] fool has no delight in understanding but only in revealing his personal opinions and himself.  AMP

Rom 14:23  But if you're not sure, if you notice that you are acting in ways inconsistent with what you believe some days trying to impose your opinions on others, other days just trying to please them then you know that you're out of line. If the way you live isn't consistent with what you believe, then it's wrong. MSG

1 Cor 10:14 So, my very dear friends, when you see people reducing God to something they can use or control, get out of their company as fast as you can.  MSG

Rom 7:24 I've tried everything and nothing helps. I'm at the end of my rope. Is there no one who can do anything for me? Isn't that the real question?

25 The answer, thank God, is that Jesus Christ can and does. He acted to set things right in this life of contradictions where I want to serve God with all my heart and mind, but am pulled by the influence of sin to do something totally different.  MSG

Rom 8:6 Obsession with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life.

7 Focusing on the self is the opposite of focusing on God. Anyone completely absorbed in self ignores God, ends up thinking more about self than God. That person ignores who God is and what he is doing.

8 And God isn't pleased at being ignored. MSG

Ps 112:7 Unfazed by rumor and gossip, Heart ready, trusting in God,  MSG

1 Cor 4:3  It matters very little to me what you think of me, even less where I rank in popular opinion. I don't even rank myself. Comparisons in these matters are pointless.

4 I'm not aware of anything that would disqualify me from being a good guide for you, but that doesn't mean much. The Master makes that judgment.  MSG

Prov 29:25 The fear of human opinion disables; trusting in God protects you from that.  MSG

Matt 19:27 Then Peter chimed in, "We left everything and followed you. What do we get out of it?"

28 Jesus replied, "Yes, you have followed me. In the re-creation of the world, when the Son of Man will rule gloriously, you who have followed me will also rule, starting with the twelve tribes of Israel.

29 And not only you, but anyone who sacrifices home, family, fields whatever because of me will get it all back a hundred times over, not to mention the considerable bonus of eternal life.

30 This is the Great Reversal: many of the first ending up last, and the last first. MSG

John 1:12 But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name   AMP

John 1:12 But whoever did want him, who believed he was who he claimed

and would do what he said, He made to be their true selves, their child-of-God selves. MSG

Acts 1:8 What you'll get is the Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be able to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world."  MSG

1 Sam 3:18  So Samuel told him, word for word. He held back nothing. Eli said, "He is God. Let him do whatever he thinks best."  MSG

James 4:7 So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. MSG

1 Peter 2:23 They called him every name in the book and he said nothing back. He suffered in silence, content to let God set things right. MSG

Rom 4:23 But it's not just Abraham;

24 it's also us! The same thing gets said about us when we embrace and believe the One who brought Jesus to life when the conditions were equally hopeless.

25 The sacrificed Jesus made us fit for God, set us right with God. MSG

Heb 9:12 He went once for all into the [Holy of] Holies [of heaven], not by virtue of the blood of goats and calves [by which to make reconciliation between God and man], but His own blood, having found and secured a complete redemption (an everlasting release for us).   AMP

Matt 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to be My disciple, let him deny himself [disregard, lose sight of, and forget himself and his own interests] and take up his cross and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying, also].  AMP

Luke 9:23 And He said to all, If any person wills to come after Me, let him deny himself [disown himself, forget, lose sight of himself and his own interests, refuse and give up himself] and take up his cross daily and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying also]. AMP

John 5:19 So Jesus answered them by saying, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the Son is able to do nothing of Himself (of His own accord); but He is able to do only what He sees the Father doing, for whatever the Father does is what the Son does in the same way [in His turn].  AMP

John 7:18 He who speaks on his own authority seeks to win honor for himself. [He whose teaching originates with himself seeks his own glory.] But He Who seeks the glory and is eager for the honor of Him Who sent Him, He is true; and there is no unrighteousness or falsehood or deception in Him.  AMP

John 14:10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? What I am telling you I do not say on My own authority and of My own accord; but the Father Who lives continually in Me does the (His) works (His own miracles, deeds of power).  AMP

John 16:13 But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].  AMP

2 Tim 1:9 [For it is He] Who delivered and saved us and called us with a calling in itself holy and leading to holiness [to a life of consecration, a vocation of holiness]; [He did it] not because of anything of merit that we have done, but because of and to further His own purpose and grace (unmerited favor) which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began [eternal ages ago]. AMP

Prov 4:10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings, and the years of your life shall be many.  AMP

1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us.  AMP

Col 1:13 [The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,  AMP

1 Cor 9:19 For although I am free in every way from anyone's control, I have made myself a bond servant to everyone, so that I might gain the more [for Christ].  AMP

Rom 1:17  God's way of putting people right shows up in the acts of faith, confirming what Scripture has said all along: "The person in right standing before God by trusting him really lives."  MSG

Gal 2:16 We know very well that we are not set right with God by rule-keeping but only through personal faith in Jesus Christ. How do we know? We tried it and we had the best system of rules the world has ever seen! Convinced that no human being can please God by self-improvement, we believed in Jesus as the Messiah so that we might be set right before God by trusting in the Messiah, not by trying to be good.  MSG

1 Tim 1:12  I'm so grateful to Christ Jesus for making me adequate to do this work. He went out on a limb, you know, in trusting me with this ministry. MSG

2 Cor 1:8 We don't want you in the dark, friends, about how hard it was when all this came down on us in Asia province. It was so bad we didn't think we were going to make it.

9 We felt like we'd been sent to death row, that it was all over for us. As it turned out, it was the best thing that could have happened. Instead of trusting in our own strength or wits to get out of it, we were forced to trust God totally not a bad idea since he's the God who raises the dead!

10 And he did it, rescued us from certain doom. And he'll do it again, rescuing us as many times as we need rescuing. MSG

Ps 4:8  At day's end I'm ready for sound sleep, For you, God, have put my life back together. MSG

Ps 44:6 For I will not trust in and lean on my bow, neither shall my sword save me.

7 But You have saved us from our foes and have put them to shame who hate us.

8 In God we have made our boast all the day long, and we will give thanks to Your name forever. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!  AMP

Ps 55:22 Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail).  AMP

Ps 55:22 Pile your troubles on God's shoulders he'll carry your load, he'll help you out. He'll never let good people topple into ruin.  MSG

1 Peter 5:7 Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.  AMP

1 Peter 5:7 Live carefree before God; he is most careful with you. MSG

Ps 46:10 "Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything."  MSG
