behind the veil june 18-17

Ex 26:33 And you shall hang the veil from the clasps and bring the ark of the Testimony into place within the veil; and the veil shall separate for you the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.   AMP

Lev 16:2 "Tell your brother Aaron not to enter into the Holy of Holies, barging inside the curtain that's before the Atonement-Cover on the Chest whenever he feels like it, lest he die, because I am present in the Cloud over the Atonement-Cover. MSG

On the ark of the covenant is the Mercyseat- Here God was supposed to be seated, and from this place He is to dispense mercy to man when the blood of the atonement was sprinkled there.

The mercy seat concealed the people of God from the ever-condemning judgment of the Law. Each year on the Day of Atonement, the high priest entered the Holy of Holies and sprinkled the blood of animals sacrificed for the atonement of the sins of God's people. This blood was sprinkled on the mercy seat.

3 items Rod of Aaron, Ten commandments, Manna    Heb 9:4  It had the golden altar of incense and the ark (chest) of the covenant, covered over with wrought gold. This [ark] contained a golden jar which held the manna and the rod of Aaron that sprouted and the [two stone] slabs of the covenant [bearing the Ten Commandments].   AMP

AARONS ROD IN OT   Ex 8:5 And the Lord said to Moses, Say to Aaron, Stretch out your hand with your rod over the rivers, the streams and canals, and over the pools, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Egypt.   AMP

Ex 8:16  Then the Lord said to Moses, Say to Aaron, Stretch out your rod and strike the dust of the ground, that it may become biting gnats or mosquitoes throughout all the land of Egypt.  AMP

Num 17:10 And the Lord told Moses, Put Aaron's rod back before the Testimony [in the ark], to be kept as a [warning] sign for the rebels; and you shall make an end of their murmurings against Me, lest they die.   AMP

LAW COMMANDMENTS-2 Chron 6:11 In it have I put the ark [the symbol of His presence], in which is the covenant of the Lord [the Ten Commandments] which He made with the people of Israel.  AMP

MANNA- Ex 16:19 Moses said, Let none of it be left until morning.

20 But they did not listen to Moses; some of them left of it until morning, and it bred worms, became foul, and stank; and Moses was angry with them.  AMP

ROD OF CURSE- Gal 3:13 Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified);    AMP  Absorbed it completely

LAW THAT WE COULD NOT FULFILL  Rom 7:4  So, my  dear brothers and sisters, the same principle applies to your relationship with God. For you died to your first husband, the law, by being co-crucified with the body of the Messiah. So you are now free to "marry" another-the one who was raised from the dead so that you may now bear spiritual fruit for God. Passion

John 6:31 Our forefathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as the Scripture says, He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.

32 Jesus then said to them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Moses did not give you the Bread from heaven [what Moses gave you was not the

Bread from heaven], but it is My Father Who gives you the true heavenly Bread.

33 For the Bread of God is He Who comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world.

34 Then they said to Him, Lord, give us this bread always (all the time)!

35 Jesus replied, I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me will never be hungry, and he who believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me will never thirst any more (at any time).  AMP

Luke 22:19 Then He took a loaf [of bread], and when He had given thanks, He broke [it] and gave it to them saying, This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me. AMP

Rom 3:25  Jesus' God given destiny was to be the sacrifice to take away sins, and now he is our Mercy Seat because of his death on the cross. We come to him for mercy, for God has made provision for us to be forgiven by faith in the sacred blood of Jesus. This is the perfect demonstration of God's justice, because until now, he has been so patient-holding back his justice out of his tolerance for us. So he covered over the sins of those who lived prior to Jesus' sacrifice. Passion

2 Cor 3:13 Unlike Moses, we have nothing to hide. Everything is out in the open with us. He wore a veil so the children of Israel wouldn't notice that the glory was fading away

14 and they didn't notice. They didn't notice it then and they don't notice it now, don't notice that there's nothing left behind that veil.

15 Even today when the proclamations of that old, bankrupt government are read out, they can't see through it. Only Christ can get rid of the veil so they can see for themselves that there's nothing there.

16 Whenever, though, they turn to face God as Moses did, God removes the veil and there they are face to face!

17 They suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We're free of it!   MSG    ?

2 Cor 3:18 And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit. AMP

Heb 9:6 After this was set up, the priests went about their duties in the large tent. 7 Only the high priest entered the smaller, inside tent, and then only once a year, offering a blood sacrifice for his own sins and the people's accumulated sins.

8 This was the Holy Spirit's way of showing with a visible parable that as long as the large tent stands, people can't just walk in on God.

9 Under this system, the gifts and sacrifices can't really get to the heart of the matter, can't assuage the conscience of the people,

10 but are limited to matters of ritual and behavior. It's essentially a temporary arrangement until a complete overhaul could be made.

11 But when the Messiah arrived, high priest of the superior things of this new covenant, he bypassed the old tent and its trappings in this created world and went straight into heaven's "tent" the true Holy Place once and for all.

12 He also bypassed the sacrifices consisting of goat and calf blood, instead using his own blood as the price to set us free once and for all.

13 If that animal blood and the other rituals of purification were effective in cleaning up certain matters of our religion and behavior,

14 think how much more the blood of Christ cleans up our whole lives, inside and out.

15 Through the Spirit, Christ offered himself as an unblemished sacrifice, freeing us from all those dead-end efforts to make ourselves respectable, so that we can live all out for God.  MSG

Matt 27:51 At that moment, the Temple curtain was ripped in two, top to bottom. There was an earthquake, and rocks were split in pieces.

52 What's more, tombs were opened up, and many bodies of believers asleep in their graves were raised.

53 (After Jesus' resurrection, they left the tombs, entered the holy city, and appeared to many.)  MSG      ?

Heb 12:1 THEREFORE THEN, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us,   AMP

Heb 12:1 Do you see what this means all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins.  MSG

OATH AND PROMISE Heb 6:19 It's an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearances right to the very presence of God

20 where Jesus, running on ahead of us, has taken up his permanent post as high priest for us, in the order of Melchizedek. MSG

Heb 10:19 And now we are brothers and sisters in God's family because of the blood of Jesus and he welcomes us to come into the holy sanctuary in the heavenly realm-boldly and with no hesitation.

20 For he has dedicated a new, life-giving way for us to approach God. For just as the veil was torn in two, Jesus' body was torn open to give us free and fresh access to him!

21 And since we now have a magnificent King-Priest to welcome us into God's house, we can come closer to God and approach him with an open heart, fully convinced by faith that nothing will keep us at a distance from him. For our hearts have been sprinkled with blood to remove impurity and we have been freed from an accusing conscience and now we are clean, unstained, and presentable to God inside and out! Passion

Heb 10:19 Don't Throw It All Away So, friends, we can now without hesitation walk right up to God, into "the Holy Place." Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The "curtain" into God's presence is his body.

22 So let's do it full of belief, confident that we're presentable inside and out.

Heb 4:16 Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]. AMP   ↕↕↕

Heb 4:16 So let's walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help.  MSG

Heb 4:16 So now we come freely and boldly to where love is enthroned, to receive mercy's kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness, Passion

Eph 2:22  This means that God is transforming each one of you into the Holy of Holies, his dwelling place, through the power of the Holy Spirit living in you!  Passion

Zech 3:7 Thus says the Lord of hosts: If you will walk in My ways and keep My charge, then also you shall rule My house and have charge of My courts, and I will give you access [to My presence] and places to walk among these who stand here.  AMP

Rom 5:2 Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God's favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God.  AMP

Rom 5:2 And that's not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand out in the wide open spaces of God's grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise.  MSG

Eph 2:18 He treated us as equals, and so made us equals. Through him we both share the same Spirit and have equal access to the Father.  MSG

Eph 3:12  In Whom, because of our faith in Him, we dare to have the boldness (courage and confidence) of free access (an unreserved approach to God with freedom and without fear).  AMP

1 John 5:14 And how bold and free we then become in his presence, freely asking according to his will, sure that he's listening.  MSG

Matt 23:13 But woe to you, men learned in the scriptures and Pharisees, actors on the stage of life, playing the role of something which you are not, because you bar the entrance into the kingdom of heaven before men, for, as for you, you are not entering, neither are you permitting those who are desiring to enter, to go in.    Wuest

Ps 17:15 As for me, because I am innocent I will see your face until I see you for who you really are. Passion
