EASTER SUNDAY (DO YOU BELIEVE THIS) 4-1-18

VIDEO JESUS RESURRECTION AND LIFE SONG

John 11:25 Jesus said to her, I am [Myself] the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on) Me, although he may die, yet he shall live;

26 And whoever continues to live and believes in (has faith in, cleaves to, and relies on) Me shall never [actually] die at all. Do you believe this? AMP

John 11:25 "You don't have to wait for the End. I am, right now, Resurrection and Life. The one who believes in me, even though he or she dies, will live.

26 And everyone who lives believing in me does not ultimately die at all. Do you believe this?" MSG

Romans 1:4 but as the mighty Son of God he was raised from the dead and miraculously set apart[b] with a display of triumphant power supplied by the Spirit of Holiness.[c] And now Jesus is our Lord and our Messiah.

5Through him a joy-producing grace cascaded into us, empowering us with the gift of apostleship,[d] so that we can win people from every nation into a faithful commitment to Jesus,[e] to bring honor to his name.

6And you are among the chosen ones who received the call to belong to Jesus, the Anointed One.[f]

Rom 5:10 If, when we were at our worst, we were put on friendly terms with God by the sacrificial death of his Son, now that we're at our best, just think of how our lives will expand and deepen by means of his resurrection life! MSG

↕↕↕

Romans 5:10 So if while we were still enemies, God fully reconciled[a] us to himself through the death of his Son, then something greater than friendship is ours. Now that we are at peace with God, and because we share in his resurrection life, how much more we will be rescued from sins dominion! Passion

The Greek verb for reconciled is actually exchanged. That is, he exchanged our sins for his righteousness and thus reconciled us to God.

1 Corinthians 15:21For since death came through a man, Adam,[a] it is fitting that the resurrection of the dead has also come through a man, Christ.

22Even as all who are in Adam die, so also all who are in Christ will be made alive. Passion

Ps 68:11 The Lord gives the word [of power]; the women who bear and publish [the news] are a great host. AMP

Matt 27:61 And Mary of Magdala and the other Mary kept sitting there opposite the tomb. AMP

Matthew 28:1 After the Sabbath ended, at the first light of dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary[a] went to take a look at the tomb.

24Suddenly, the earth shook violently beneath their feet as the angel of the Lord Jehovah[b] descended from heaven. Lightning flashed around him and his robe was dazzling white! The guards were stunned and terrifiedlying motionless like dead men. Then the angel walked up to the tomb, rolled away the stone, and sat on top of it!

5The women were breathless and terrified, until the angel said to them, Theres no reason to be afraid. I know youre here looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

6He isnt herehe has risen victoriously,[c] just as he said! Come inside the tomb and see the place where our Lord was lying.[d]

7Then run and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead! I give you his message: I am going ahead of you in Galilee and you will see me there.[e]

8They rushed quickly to tell his disciples, and their hearts were deep in wonder and filled with great joy.

9Along the way, Jesus suddenly appeared in front of them and said, Rejoice![f] They were so overwhelmed by seeing him that they bowed down and grasped his feet in adoring worship.

10Then Jesus said to them, Throw off all your fears. Go and tell my brothers[g] to go to Galilee. They will find me there. Passion

Luke 24:1 Very early that Sunday morning, the women made their way to the tomb, carrying the spices they had prepared. Among them were Mary Magdalene; Joanna; and Mary, Jesus mother.[a]

2Arriving at the tomb they discovered that the huge stone covering the entrance had been rolled aside,

3so they went in to look. But the tomb was empty. The body of Jesus was gone!

4They stood there, stunned and perplexed. Suddenly two men in dazzling white robes shining like lightning appeared above them.[b]

5Terrified, the women fell to the ground on their faces. The men in white said to them, Why would you look for the living One[c] in a tomb? He is not here, for he has risen!

6Have you forgotten what he said to you while he was still in Galilee:

7The Son of Man is destined to be handed over to sinful men to be nailed to a cross, and on the third day he will rise again?

8All at once they remembered his words.

9Leaving the tomb, they went to break the news to the Eleven and to all the others of what they had seen and heard. Passion

John 20:11Mary arrived back at the tomb, broken and sobbing. She stooped to peer inside, and through her tears

12she saw two angels in dazzling white robes, sitting where Jesus body had been laidone at the head and one at the feet![c] JUST LIKE MERCYSEAT

13Dear woman, why are you crying? they asked. Mary answered, They have taken away my Lord, and I dont know where theyve laid him.

14Then she turned around to leave, and there was Jesus standing in front of her, but she didnt realize that it was him!

15He said to her, Dear woman, why are you crying? Who are you looking for?

Mary answered, thinking he was only the gardener, Sir, if you have taken his body somewhere else, tell me, and I will go and . . .

16Mary, Jesus interrupted her. Turning to face him, she said, Rabboni! (Aramaic for my teacher)

17Jesus cautioned her, Mary, dont hold on to me now, for I havent yet ascended to God, my Father. And hes not only my Father and God, but now hes your Father and your God! Now go to my brothers[d] and tell them what Ive told you, that I am ascending to my Fatherand your Father, to my Godand your God! Passion

Acts 1:3 To them also He showed Himself alive after His passion (His suffering in the garden and on the cross) by [a series of] many convincing demonstrations [unquestionable evidences and infallible proofs], appearing to them during forty days and talking [to them] about the things of the kingdom of God.

4 And while being in their company and eating with them, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem but to wait for what the Father had promised, Of which [He said] you have heard Me speak. AMP

Revelation 1:17 When I saw him, I fell down at his feet as good as dead,[k] but he laid his right hand on me[l] and I heard his reassuring voice saying: Dont yield to fear. I am the Beginning and I am the End,

18the Living One! I was dead, but now lookI am alive forever and ever. And I hold the keys[m] that unlock death and the unseen world. Passion

Phil 3:10 [For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]

11 That if possible I may attain to the [spiritual and moral] resurrection [that lifts me] out from among the dead [even while in the body].

12 Not that I have now attained [this ideal], or have already been made perfect, but I press on to lay hold of (grasp) and make my own, that for which Christ Jesus (the Messiah) has laid hold of me and made me His own.

13 I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,

14 I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward. AMP

Rom 8:11 And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.

AMP ↕↕↕

Rom 8:11 It stands to reason, doesn't it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he'll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ's! MSG

1 Corinthians 15:16 If the dead arent raised up,[a] that would mean that Christ has not been raised up either.

17And if Christ is not alive, you are still lost in your sins and your faith is a fantasy.

18It would also mean that those believers in Christ who have passed away[a] have simply perished.

19If the only benefit of our hope in Christ is limited to this life on earth, we deserve to be pitied more than all others![b]

20But the truth is, Christ is risen from the dead, as the firstfruit[c] of a great resurrection harvest of those who have died. Passion

Gal 1:1 I, Paul, and my companions in faith here, send greetings to the Galatian churches. My authority for writing to you does not come from any popular vote of the people, nor does it come through the appointment of some human higher-up. It comes directly from Jesus the Messiah and God the Father, who raised him from the dead. I'm God-commissioned.

3 So I greet you with the great words, grace and peace!

4 We know the meaning of those words because Jesus Christ rescued us from this evil world we're in by offering himself as a sacrifice for our sins. God's plan is that we all experience that rescue.

5 Glory to God forever! Oh, yes! MSG

Col 3:1 So if you're serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides.

2 Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ that's where the action is. See things from his perspective. MSG

↕↕↕

Colossians 3:1 Christs resurrection is your resurrection too. This is why we are to yearn for all that is above, for thats where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honor, and authority![a]

2Yes, feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm. Passion

Eph 2:4 Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love,

5 he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us!

6 Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah.

7 Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. MSG
