WHAT TO REMEMBER 5-27-11

VIDEO BAGGAGE IN THE ATTIC

REMEMBER-to remind, to call to ones mind, to mindful of

Ps 25:6 Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercy and loving-kindness; for they have been ever from of old.

7 Remember not the sins (the lapses and frailties) of my youth or my transgressions; according to Your mercy and steadfast love remember me, for Your goodness' sake, O Lord. AMP

Zeph 3:17 The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing. AMP

GOD REMEMBERS, recalls, rehearses people, things, events. He is full of thoughts for us.

Gen 9:15 I will [earnestly] remember My covenant or solemn pledge which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy and make all flesh corrupt.

16 When the bow [rainbow] is in the clouds and I look upon it, I will [earnestly] remember the everlasting covenant or pledge between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

17 And God said to Noah, This [rainbow] is the token or sign of the covenant or solemn pledge which I have established between Me and all flesh upon the earth. AMP

↕↕↕

Gen 9:15 I'll remember my covenant between me and you and everything living, that never again will floodwaters destroy all life.

16 When the rainbow appears in the cloud, I'll see it and remember the eternal covenant between God and everything living, every last living creature on Earth."

17 And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant that I've set up between me and everything living on the Earth." MSG

Mal 4:4 [Earnestly] remember the law of Moses, My servant, the statutes and the ordinances which I commanded him on [Mount] Horeb [to give] to all Israel.

Rom 10:4 For Christ is the end of the Law [the limit at which it ceases to be, for the Law leads up to Him Who is the fulfillment of its types, and in Him the purpose which it was designed to accomplish is fulfilled. That is, the purpose of the Law is fulfilled in Him] as the means of righteousness (right relationship to God) for everyone who trusts in and adheres to and relies on Him.

Gal 3:19 What then was the purpose of the Law? It was added [later on, after the promise, to disclose and expose to men their guilt] because of transgressions and [to make men more conscious of the sinfulness] of sin; and it was intended to be in effect until the Seed (the Descendant, the Heir) should come, to and concerning Whom the promise had been made. And it [the Law] was arranged and ordained and appointed through the instrumentality of angels [and was given] by the hand (in the person) of a go-between [Moses, an intermediary person between God and man]. AMP

Matt 16:9 Do you not yet discern (perceive and understand)? Do you not remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many [small hand] baskets you gathered?

10 Nor the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many [large provision] baskets you took up?

11 How is it that you fail to understand that I was not talking to you about bread? But beware of the leaven (ferment) of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

12 Then they discerned that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees. AMP

↕↕↕

Matt 16:9 Haven't you caught on yet? Don't you remember the five loaves of bread and the five thousand people, and how many baskets of fragments you picked up?

10 Or the seven loaves that fed four thousand, and how many baskets of leftovers you collected?

11 Haven't you realized yet that bread isn't the problem? The problem is yeast, Pharisee-Sadducee yeast."

12 Then they got it: that he wasn't concerned about eating, but teaching the Pharisee-Sadducee kind of teaching. MSG

Luke 17:32 Remember Lot's wife!

33 Whoever tries to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will preserve and quicken it. AMP

↕↕↕

Luke 17:32 Remember what happened to Lot's wife!

33 If you grasp and cling to life on your terms, you'll lose it, but if you let that life go, you'll get life on God's terms. MSG

John 15:20 Remember that I told you, A servant is not greater than his master [is not superior to him]. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word and obeyed My teachings, they will also keep and obey yours.

21 But they will do all this to you [inflict all this suffering on you] because of [your bearing] My name and on My account, for they do not know or understand the One Who sent Me. AMP

↕↕↕

John 15:20 "When that happens, remember this: Servants don't get better treatment than their masters. If they beat on me, they will certainly beat on you. If they did what I told them, they will do what you tell them.

21 "They are going to do all these things to you because of the way they treated me, because they don't know the One who sent me. MSG

Luke 24:6 He is not here, but has risen! Remember how He told you while He was still in Galilee

7 That the Son of Man must be given over into the hands of sinful men (men whose way or nature is to act in opposition to God) and be crucified and on the third day rise [from death].

8 And they remembered His words. AMP

2 Cor 9:6 [Remember] this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings. AMP

↕↕↕

2 Cor 9:6 Remember: A stingy planter gets a stingy crop; a lavish planter gets a lavish crop. MSG

Heb 13:3 Remember those who are in prison as if you were their fellow prisoner, and those who are ill-treated, since you also are liable to bodily sufferings. AMP

Heb 13:7 Remember your leaders and superiors in authority [for it was they] who brought to you the Word of God. Observe attentively and consider their manner of living (the outcome of their well-spent lives) and imitate their faith (their conviction that God exists and is the Creator and Ruler of all things, the Provider and Bestower of eternal salvation through Christ, and their leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness). AMP

Jude 17 But you must remember, beloved, the predictions which were made by the apostles (the special messengers) of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

18 They told you beforehand, In the last days (in the end time) there will be scoffers [who seek to gratify their own unholy desires], following after their own ungodly passions.

19 It is these who are [agitators] setting up distinctions and causing divisions merely sensual [creatures, carnal, worldly-minded people], devoid of the [Holy] Spirit and destitute of any higher spiritual life. AMP

↕↕↕

Jude 17 But remember, dear friends, that the apostles of our Master, Jesus Christ, told us this would happen:

18 "In the last days there will be people who don't take these things seriously anymore. They'll treat them like a joke, and make a religion of their own whims and lusts."

19 These are the ones who split churches, thinking only of themselves. There's nothing to them, no sign of the Spirit! MSG

VIDEO REMEMBER WHO WE WORSHIP

Ps 30:4 Sing to the Lord, O you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. AMP

Ps 97:12 Rejoice in the Lord, you [consistently] righteous (upright and in right standing with God), and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness.

Mal 3:16 Then those who feared the Lord talked often one to another; and the Lord listened and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who reverenced and worshipfully feared the Lord and who thought on His name. AMP

↕↕↕

Mal 3:16 Then those whose lives honored God got together and talked it over. God saw what they were doing and listened in. A book was opened in God's presence and minutes were taken of the meeting, with the names of the God-fearers written down, all the names of those who honored God's name.

GOD IN REMEMBRANCE OF HIS WORD

Ps 119:25 I'm feeling terrible I couldn't feel worse! Get me on my feet again. You promised, remember? MSG

Ps 112:6 He will not be moved forever; the [uncompromisingly] righteous (the upright, in right standing with God) shall be in everlasting remembrance. AMP

Jacob Gen 32:11- Deliver me, I pray You, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau; for I fear him, lest he come and smite [us all], the mothers with the children.

12 And You said, I will surely do you good and make your descendants as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude. AMP

Isa 62:6 I have set watchmen upon your walls, O Jerusalem, who will never hold their peace day or night; you who [are His servants and by your prayers] put the Lord in remembrance [of His promises], keep not silence, AMP

↕↕↕

Isa 62:6 I've posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem. Day and night they keep at it, praying, calling out, reminding God to remember. MSG

DAVID 1 Sam 17:33 And Saul said to David, You are not able to go to fight against this Philistine. You are only an adolescent, and he has been a warrior from his youth.

34 And David said to Saul, Your servant kept his father's sheep. And when there came a lion or again a bear and took a lamb out of the flock,

35 I went out after it and smote it and delivered the lamb out of its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard and smote it and killed it.

36 Your servant killed both the lion and the bear ; and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God!

37 David said, The Lord Who delivered me out of the paw of the lion and out of the paw of the bear , He will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said to David, Go, and the Lord be with you! AMP

OUR REMBRANCE

John 14:26 But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.

27 Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled. ↕↕↕

John 14:26 The Friend, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send at my request, will make everything plain to you. He will remind you of all the things I have told you.

27 I'm leaving you well and whole. That's my parting gift to you. Peace. I don't leave you the way you're used to being left feeling abandoned, bereft. So don't be upset. Don't be distraught. MSG

Phil 3:15 So let's keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision you'll see it yet!

16 Now that we're on the right track, let's stay on it.

Col 3:2 And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth. AMP

1 Pet 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; KJV

1 Cor 3:11 Remember, there is only one foundation, the one already laid: Jesus Christ. MSG

1 Cor 3:17 No one will get by with vandalizing God's temple, you can be sure of that. God's temple is sacred and you, remember, are the temple. MSG

1 Cor 6:15 Until that time, remember that your bodies are created with the same dignity as the Master's body. You wouldn't take the Master's body off to a whorehouse, would you? I should hope not. MSG

1 Cor 10:13 No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he'll never let you be pushed past your limit; he'll always be there to help you come through it. MSG

Lam 3:21 But this I recall and therefore have I hope and expectation:

22 It is because of the Lord's mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not.

23 They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness. AMP

Col 3:4 When Christ (your real life, remember) shows up again on this earth, you'll show up, too the real you, the glorious you. Meanwhile, be content with obscurity, like Christ. MSG
