EXPECTANT 6-5-11 VIDEO SHROUD OF JESUS

Mark 15:43 Joseph of Arimathea, a highly respected member of the Jewish Council, came. He was one who lived expectantly, on the lookout for the kingdom of God. Working up his courage, he went to Pilate and asked for Jesus' body.

44 Pilate questioned whether he could be dead that soon and called for the captain to verify that he was really dead.

45 Assured by the captain, he gave Joseph the corpse.

46 Having already purchased a linen shroud, Joseph took him down, wrapped him in the shroud, placed him in a tomb that had been cut into the rock, and rolled a large stone across the opening. MSG

It is also claimed that Joseph collected some of the blood and sweat of Christ after His side was pierced as He hung on the cross. The chalice or cup which Joseph used to collect the fluids is reported to be the same one used during the last supper. Joseph took the cup with him on his voyage to England and is said to have hidden it on the site at Glastonbury, at the bottom of a deep well, called the 'Chalice Well', or the 'Blood Well.' The well is a rather curious place, 25 thousand gallons of red-tinted water pass through the well area each day. The red tint is caused by high iron content in the water.

Luke 2:25In Jerusalemat the time, there was a man, Simeon by name, a good man, a man who lived in the prayerful expectancy of help forIsrael. And the Holy Spirit was on him.

26 The Holy Spirit had shown him that he would see the Messiah of God before he died.

27 Led by the Spirit, he entered theTemple. As the parents of the child Jesus brought him in to carry out the rituals of the Law,

28 Simeon took him into his arms and blessed God:

29 God, you can now release your servant; release me in peace as you promised.

30 With my own eyes I've seen your salvation;

31 it's now out in the open for everyone to see:

32 AGod-revealing light to the non-Jewish nations, and of glory for your peopleIsrael. MSG

Luke 2:36Anna the prophetess was also there, a daughter of Phanuel from the tribe of Asher. She was by now a very old woman. She had been married seven years

37 and a widow for eighty-four. She never left the Templearea, worshiping night and day with her fastings and prayers.

38 At the very time Simeon was praying, she showed up, broke into an anthem of praise to God, and talked about the child to all who were waiting expectantly for the freeing of Jerusalem. MSG

Isa 30:18 And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]! ↕↕↕

Ps 52:9 I thank you always that you went into action. And I'll stay right here, your good name my hope, in company with your faithful friends. MSG

Isa 40:31 But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. AMP

↕↕↕

Isa 40:31 But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, They run and don't get tired, they walk and don't lag behind. MSG

Isa 49:23 And kings shall be your foster fathers and guardians, and their queens your nursing mothers. They shall bow down to you with their faces to the earth and lick up the dust of your feet; and you shall know [with an acquaintance and understanding based on and grounded in personal experience] that I am the Lord; for they shall not be put to shame who wait for, look for, hope for, and expect Me. AMP

Rom 8:18 That's why I don't think there's any comparison between the present hard times and the coming good times.

19 The created world itself can hardly wait for what's coming next.

20 Everything in creation is being more or less held back. God reins it in

21 until both creation and all the creatures are ready and can be released at the same moment into the glorious times ahead. Meanwhile, the joyful anticipation deepens.

22 All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it's not only around us; it's within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We're also feeling the birth pangs.

23 These sterile and barren bodies of ours are yearning for full deliverance.

24 That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting. We, of course, don't see what is enlarging us.

25 But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy.

26 Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans.

27 He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. MSG

Ps 130:5 I wait for the Lord, I expectantly wait, and in His word do I hope.

VIDEO MARY EXPECTING AGAIN

Heb 6:12 In order that you may not grow disinterested and become [spiritual] sluggards, but imitators, behaving as do those who through faith (by their leaning of the entire personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) and by practice of patient endurance and waiting are [now] inheriting the promises. AMP

↕↕↕

Heb 6:12 Don't drag your feet. Be like those who stay the course with committed faith and then get everything promised to them. MSG

Rom 5:5 In alert expectancy such as this, we're never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary we can't round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!

Rom 8:15This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It's adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike "What's next, Papa?" MSG

Lam 3:21But this I recall and therefore have I hope and expectation:

22 It is because of the Lord's mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not.

23 They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness. AMP

Hos 2:15 There I will give her her vineyards and make the Valley of Achor [troubling] to be for her a door of hope and expectation. And she shall sing there and respond as in the days of her youth and as at the time when she came up out of theland ofEgypt. AMP

2 Cor 1:10 [For it is He] Who rescued and saved us from such a perilous death, and He will still rescue and save us; in and on Him we have set our hope (our joyful and confident expectation) that He will again deliver us [from danger and destruction and draw us to Himself], AMP

2 Cor 3:12Since we have such [glorious] hope (such joyful and confident expectation), we speak very freely and openly and fearlessly. AMP

Heb 6:11And now I want each of you to extend that same intensity toward a full-bodied hope, and keep at it till the finish.

12 Don't drag your feet. Be like those who stay the course with committed faith and then get everything promised to them.

13 God Gave His Word When God made his promise to Abraham, he backed it to the hilt, putting his own reputation on the line.

14 He said, "I promise that I'll bless you with everything I have bless and bless and bless!"

15 Abraham stuck it out and got everything that had been promised to him.

16 When people make promises, they guarantee them by appeal to some authority above them so that if there is any question that they'll make good on the promise, the authority will back them up.

17 When God wanted to guarantee his promises, he gave his word, a rock-solid guarantee

18 God can't break his word. And because his word cannot change, the promise is likewise unchangeable. We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go.

Mic 7:7 But as for me, I will look to the Lord and confident in Him I will keep watch; I will wait with hope and expectancy for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.

8 Rejoice not against me, O my enemy! When I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light to me. AMP

↕↕↕

Mic 7:7 But me, I'm not giving up. I'm sticking around to see what God will do. I'm waiting for God to make things right. I'm counting on God to listen to me.

8 Don't, enemy, crow over me. I'm down, but I'm not out. I'm sitting in the dark right now, but God is my light. MSG

Isa 54:17 but no weapon that can hurt you has ever been forged. Any accuser who takes you to court will be dismissed as a liar. This is what God's servants can expect. I'll see to it that everything works out for the best." God's Decree. MSG

2 Peter 3:12 Daily expect the Day of God, eager for its arrival. The galaxies will burn up and the elements melt down that day

13 but we'll hardly notice. We'll be looking the other way, ready for the promised new heavens and the promised new earth, all landscaped with righteousness.

MSG

Heb 9:28 Even so it is that Christ, having been offered to take upon Himself and bear as a burden the sins of many once and once for all, will appear a second time, not to carry any burden of sin nor to deal with sin, but to bring to full salvation those who are [eagerly, constantly, and patiently] waiting for and expecting Him. AMP

↕↕↕

Heb 9:28 Christ's death was also a one-time event, but it was a sacrifice that took care of sins forever. And so, when he next appears, the outcome for those eager to greet him is, precisely, salvation. MSG

Heb 10:35So don't throw it all away now. You were sure of yourselves then. It's still a sure thing!

36 But you need to stick it out, staying with God's plan so you'll be there for the promised completion.

37 It won't be long now, he's on the way; he'll show up most any minute.

38 But anyone who is right with me thrives on loyal trust; if he cuts and runs, I won't be very happy.

39 But we're not quitters who lose out. Oh, no! We'll stay with it and survive, trusting all the way. MSG
