Our reward is not just limited to land or money. It is whatever the desires of our hearts are. Abrahams reward was a son. God did more than just one son but gave many as the stars and the grains of sand. Every word is something given as a gift to someone. Sometimes because a service is done, or just because the giver wants to do so because of his love and honor for someone. REWARD is an honoring or a strengthening.
FAITH BRINGS REWARDS Heb 10:35 Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. AMP

3 Then Abram said, "Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!"
4 And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, "This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir."
5 Then He brought him outside and said, "Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be."

2 Abram said, "God, Master, what use are your gifts as long as I'm childless and Eliezer of Damascus is going to inherit everything?"

4 Then God's Message came: "Don't worry, he won't be your heir; a son from your body will be your heir."
5 Then he took him outside and said, "Look at the sky. Count the stars. Can you do it? Count your descendants! You're going to have a big family, Abram!"
6 And he believed! Believed God! God declared him "Set-Right-with-God." MSG
