THE COVENANT THAT MAKES US WHOLE  5-10-2020

Covenant. The new covenant has done what nothing else could do. Guarantees that we have been made whole and completely perfected. Covenant it is a solemn binding agreement. Its ratified by blood. They can come to God and will receive an inheritance only he can give. Its forgiveness its eternal life its wholeness its unconditional. And all depends on God and his grace.

Heb 8:13 When God speaks of a new [covenant or agreement], He makes the first one obsolete (out of use). And what is obsolete (out of use and annulled because of age) is ripe for disappearance and to be dispensed with altogether.

AMP  ↕↕↕

Heb 8:13 By coming up with a new plan, a new covenant between God and his people, God put the old plan on the shelf. And there it stays, gathering dust.MSG

↕↕↕

HEB 8:13 This proves that by establishing this new covenant the first is now obsolete, ready to expire, and about to disappear. TPT

Isa 9:6 For a child has been born for us! the gift of a son for us! He'll take over the running of the world. His names will be: Amazing Counselor, Strong God, Eternal Father, Prince of Wholeness.  MSG

Luke 1:68 Blessed (praised and extolled and thanked) be the Lord, the God of Israel, because He has come and brought deliverance and redemption to His people!

69 And He has raised up a Horn of salvation [a mighty and valiant Helper, the Author of salvation] for us in the house of David His servant

70 This is as He promised by the mouth of His holy prophets from the most ancient times [in the memory of man]

71 That we should have deliverance and be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who detest and pursue us with hatred;

72 To make true and show the mercy and compassion and kindness [promised] to our forefathers and to remember and carry out His holy covenant [to bless, which is all the more sacred because it is made by God Himself],

73 That covenant He sealed by oath to our forefather Abraham:

74 To grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our foes, might serve Him fearlessly  AMP

HEB 8:6 But now Jesus the Messiahhas accepted a priestly ministry which far surpasses theirs, since he is the catalystof a better covenant which contains far more wonderful promises!

For if that first covenant had been faultless no one would have needed a second one to replace it.  TPT

Heb 12:24 And to Jesus, the Mediator (Go-between, Agent) of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood which speaks [of mercy], a better and nobler and more gracious message than the blood of Abel [which cried out for vengeance].   AMP

↕↕↕

Heb 12:24 You've come to Jesus, who presents us with a new covenant, a fresh charter from God. He is the Mediator of this covenant. The murder of Jesus, unlike Abel's a homicide that cried out for vengeance became a proclamation of grace.   MSG

 ↕↕↕

HEB 12:24 And we have come to Jesus who established a new covenant with his blood sprinkled upon the mercy seat; blood that continues to speak from heaven, forgiveness, a better message than Abels blood that cries from the earth, justice. TPT

Heb 7:22 This makes Jesus the guarantee of a far better way between us and God one that really works! A new covenant.  MSG

↕↕↕

HEB 7:22 So all of this magnifies the truth that we have a superior covenant with God than what they experienced, for Jesus himself is its guarantor!TPT

Heb 9:11 But when the Messiah arrived, high priest of the superior things of this new covenant, he bypassed the old tent and its trappings in this created world and went straight into heaven's "tent" the true Holy Place once and for all. MSG

↕↕↕

HEB 9:11 But now the Anointed One has become the King-Priest of every wonderful thing that has come. For he serves in a greater, more perfect heavenly tabernaclenot made by men.  TPT

Heb 9:15 Through the Spirit, Christ offered himself as an unblemished sacrifice, freeing us from all those dead-end efforts to make ourselves respectable, so that we can live all out for God.

16-17 Like a will that takes effect when someone dies, the new covenant was put into action at Jesus' death. His death marked the transition from the old plan to the new one, canceling the old obligations and accompanying sins, and summoning the heirs to receive the eternal inheritance that was promised them. He brought together God and his people in this new way.  MSG

↕↕↕

HEB 9:15 So Jesus is the One who has enacted a new covenant with a new relationship with God so that those who accept the invitationwill receive the eternal inheritance he has promised to his heirs. For he died to release us from the guilt of the violations committed under the first covenant.

1617 Now a persons last will and testament can only take effect after one has been proven to have died; otherwise the will cannot be in force while the person who made it is still alive.  TPT

FOREVER

Ezek 16:60 All the same, I'll remember the covenant I made with you when you were young and I'll make a new covenant with you that will last forever.  MSG

PS 89:28 I will love him forever and always show him kindness. My covenant with him will never be broken.  TPT

HEB 13: 20 Now may the God who brought us peace by raising from the dead our Lord Jesus Christ so that he would be the Great Shepherd of his flock; and by the power of the blood of the eternal covenant

21 may he work perfection into every part of you giving you all that you need to fulfill your destiny. And may he express through you all that is excellent and pleasing to him through your life-union with Jesus the Anointed One who is to receive all glory forever! Amen! TPT

↕↕↕

Heb 13:20 May God, who puts all things together, makes all things whole, Who made a lasting mark through the sacrifice of Jesus, the sacrifice of blood that sealed the eternal covenant, Who led Jesus, our Great Shepherd, up and alive from the dead,

21 Now put you together, provide you with everything you need to please him, Make us into what gives him most pleasure, by means of the sacrifice of Jesus, the Messiah. All glory to Jesus forever and always! Oh, yes, yes, yes.  MSG

2 Cor 3:6 [It is He] Who has qualified us [making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient] as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ], not [ministers] of the letter (of legally written code) but of the Spirit; for the code [of the Law] kills, but the [Holy] Spirit makes alive.  AMP

↕↕↕

2 COR 3:6 He alone makes us adequate ministers who are focused on an entirely new covenant. Our ministry is not based on the letter of the law but through the power of the Spirit. The letter of the law kills, but the Spirit pours out life.TPT

COL 2:9-15 For he is the complete fullness of deity living in human form.

10 And our own completeness is now found in him. We are completely filled with God as Christs fullness overflows within us. He is the Headof every kingdom and authority in the universe!

11 Through our union with him we have experienced circumcision of heart. All of the guilt and power of sinhas been cut away and is now extinct because of what Christ, the Anointed One, has accomplished for us.

12 For weve been buried with him into his death. Our baptism into death also means we were raised with him when we believed in Gods resurrection power, the power that raised him from deaths realm.

13 This realm of death describes our former state, for we were held in sins grasp. But now, weve been resurrected out of that realm of death never to return, for we are forever alive and forgiven of all our sins!

14 He canceled out every legal violation we had on our record and the old arrest warrant that stood to indict us. He erased it allour sins, our stainedsoulhe deleted it all and they cannot be retrieved! Everything we once were in Adamhas been placed onto his cross and nailed permanently there as a public display of cancellation.

15 Then Jesus made a public spectacle of all the powers and principalities of darkness, stripping away from them every weapon and all their spiritual authority and powerto accuse us. And by the power of the cross, Jesus led them around as prisoners in a procession of triumph. He was not their prisoner; they were his!  TPT

Rom 11:27 And this is my commitment to my people: removal of their sins.

28 From your point of view as you hear and embrace the good news of the Message, it looks like the Jews are God's enemies. But looked at from the long-range perspective of God's overall purpose, they remain God's oldest friends.

29 God's gifts and God's call are under full warranty never canceled, never rescinded.

30 There was a time not so long ago when you were on the outs with God. But then the Jews slammed the door on him and things opened up for you.

31 Now they are on the outs. But with the door held wide open for you, they have a way back in.   MSG

ACTS 3:25 And you are heirs of their propheciesand of the covenants God made with your fathers when he promised Abraham, Your descendantwill bring blessing to all the people on the earth.  TPT

ABE  GAL 3:15 Beloved friends, let me use an illustration that we can all understand. Technically, when a contract is signed, it cant be changed after it has been put into effect; its too late to alter the agreement.

16 Remember the royal proclamationGod spoke over Abraham and to Abrahams child? God said that his promises were made to pass on to Abrahams Child, not children. And who is this Child? Its the Son of promise, Jesus, the anointed Messiah!  TPT

Ps 111:5 He has given food and provision to those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him; He will remember His covenant forever and imprint it [on His mind].    AMP

Deut 7:9  Know this: God, your God, is God indeed, a God you can depend upon. He keeps his covenant of loyal love with those who love him and observe his commandments for a thousand generations. MSG

2 Chron 6:14  And said, O Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like You in the heavens or in the earth, keeping covenant and showing mercy and loving-kindness to Your servants who walk before You with all their hearts, AMP

↕↕↕

2 Chron 6:14 and prayed: God, O God of Israel, there is no God like you in the skies above or on the earth below, who unswervingly keeps covenant with his servants and unfailingly loves them while they sincerely live in obedience to your way. MSG

Heb 12:24 And to Jesus, the Mediator (Go-between, Agent) of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood which speaks [of mercy], a better and nobler and more gracious message than the blood of Abel [which cried out for vengeance].  AMP

ISA 42:6 I, Yahweh, have commissioned you in righteousness to succeed. I will take your hand in love and watch over you. I will give you as a covenanth for the people, a walking-light to the nations. TPT

Mark 14:24  And He said to them, This is My blood [which ratifies] the new covenant, [the blood] which is being poured out for (on account of) many.    AMP

↕↕↕

Mark 14:24 He said, This is my blood, God's new covenant, Poured out for many people. MSG

1 COR 11:25 He did the same with the cup of wine after supper and said, This cup seals the new covenant with my blood. Drink itand whenever you drink this, do it to remember me. TPT

↕↕↕

1 Cor 11:25 Similarly when supper was ended, He took the cup also, saying, This cup is the new covenant [ratified and established] in My blood. Do this, as often as you drink [it], to call Me [affectionately] to remembrance. AMP
