JESUS IS THE KING 6-28-2020

We are closing out the month by worshiping the King. We are in need of a true leader in the world today. One who will lay down his life for the people. Fix your eyes on the King.

Ps 74:12  God is my King from the very start; he works salvation in the womb of the earth. MSG

Isa 43:15  I am GOD, your Holy One, Creator of Israel, your King."  MSG

John 18:33 Upon hearing this, Pilate went back inside his palace and summoned Jesus. Looking him over, Pilate asked him, Are you really the king of the Jews?

34 Jesus replied, Are you asking because you really want to know,or are you only asking this because others have said it about me?

35 Pilate responded, Only a Jew would care about this; do I look like a Jew? Its your own people and your religious leaders that have handed you over to me. So tell me, Jesus, what have you done wrong?

36 Jesus looked at Pilate and said, The royal power of my kingdom realm doesnt come from this world. If it did, then my followers would be fighting to the end to defend me from the Jewish leaders. My kingdom realm authority is notfrom this realm.

37 Then Pilate responded, Oh, so then you are a king? You are right. Jesus said, I was born a King, and I have come into this world to prove what truth really is. And everyone who loves the truthwill receive my words.

John 18:33 Pilate went back into the palace and called for Jesus. He said, "Are you the 'King of the Jews'?"

34 Jesus answered, "Are you saying this on your own, or did others tell you this about me?"

35 Pilate said, "Do I look like a Jew? Your people and your high priests turned you over to me. What did you do?"

36 "My kingdom," said Jesus, "doesn't consist of what you see around you. If it did, my followers would fight so that I wouldn't be handed over to the Jews. But I'm not that kind of king, not the world's kind of king."

37 Then Pilate said, "So, are you a king or not?" Jesus answered, "You tell me. Because I am King, I was born and entered the world so that I could witness to the truth. Everyone who cares for truth, who has any feeling for the truth, recognizes my voice."  MSG

Acts 13:21 Then they asked for a king; and God gave them Saul son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years.

22 And when He had deposed him, He raised up David to be their king; of him He bore witness and said, I have found David son of Jesse a man after My own heart, who will do all My will and carry out My program fully

1 Cor 15:25 For [Christ] must be King and reign until He has put all [His] enemies under His feet.

27 For He [the Father] has put all things in subjection under His [Christ's] feet. But when it says, All things are put in subjection [under Him], it is evident that He [Himself] is excepted Who does the subjecting of all things to Him.  AMP

FUTURE   Isa 33:17 Oh, you'll see the king a beautiful sight! And you'll take in the wide vistas of land.

18 In your mind you'll go over the old terrors: "What happened to that Assyrian inspector who condemned and confiscated? And the one who gouged us of taxes? And that cheating moneychanger?"

19 Gone! Out of sight forever! Their insolence nothing now but a fading stain on the carpet! No more putting up with a language you can't understand, no more sounds of gibberish in your ears.

20 Just take a look at Zion, will you? Centering our worship in festival feasts! Feast your eyes on Jerusalem, a quiet and permanent place to live. No more pulling up stakes and moving on, no more patched-together lean-tos.

21 Instead, God! God majestic, God himself the place in a country of broad rivers and streams, But rivers blocked to invading ships, off-limits to predatory pirates.

22 For God makes all the decisions here. God is our king. God runs this place and he'll keep us safe.

23 Ha! Your sails are in shreds, your mast wobbling, your hold leaking. The plunder is free for the taking, free for all   for weak and strong, insiders and outsiders.
