SUPERNATURAL POWER  4-3-2020

Supernatural power is the power that goes beyond the natural forces. It goes beyond natural laws and scientific understanding. The world is seeking power. Power to rule and control mans actions and thoughts. But there is a power that lives in every believer who has the Holy Spirit. Supernatural force that raises the dead, cast out demons. and heals the sick. It is the church and we must stop being unimpressed with the power of the Holy Spirit that lives inside us and is upon us. Supernatural power proves to us that we have a new life.

ACTS 1:7-8 He answered, The Father is the one who sets the fixed dates and the times of their fulfillment. You are not permitted to know the timing of all that he has prepared by his own authority.

But I promise you thisthe Holy Spirit will come upon you and you will be filled with power. And you will be my messengersto Jerusalem, throughout Judea, the distant provinceseven to the remotest places on earth! TPT

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom (kingship, royal power) belongs not to this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My followers would have been fighting to keep Me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is, My kingdom is not from here (this world); [it has no such origin or source]. AMP

John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]  AMP

JN 16:33 And everything Ive taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!TPT

JN 17:2 You have already given me authorityover all people so that I may give
the gift of eternal life to all those that you have given to me.

ACTS 2:1-6  On the day Pentecost was being fulfilled, all the disciples were gathered in one place.

Suddenly they heard the sound of a violent blast of windrushing into the housefrom out of the heavenly realm. The roar of the wind was so overpowering it was all anyone could bear!

Then all at once a pillar of fire appeared before their eyes. It separated into tongues of fire that engulfedeach one of them.

They were all filled and equippedwith the Holy Spirit and were inspiredto speak in tonguesempowered by the Spirit to speak in languages they had never learned!

Now, at that time there were Jewish worshiperswho had emigrated from many different lands to live in Jerusalem.

When the peopleof the city heard the roaring sound, crowds came running to where it was coming from, stunned over what was happening, because each one could hear the disciples speaking in his or her own language. TPT

ACTS 4:7-11 They made Peter and John stand in front of the council as they questioned them, saying, Tell us, by what power and authority have you done these things?

Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, answered, Respected elders and leaders of the people, listen.

Are we being put on trial today for doing an act of kindness by healing a frail, crippled man? Well then,

10 you and everyone else in Israel should know that it is by the power of the name of Jesus that the crippled man stands here today completely healed! You crucified Jesus Christ of Nazareth, but God raised him from the dead.

11 This Jesus is the stone that you, the builders, have rejected, and now he has become the cornerstone!

12 There is no one elsewho has the power to save us, for there is only one name to whom God has given authority by which we must experience salvation: the name of Jesus. TPT

ACTS 4:13-14 The council members were astonished as they witnessed the bold courageof Peter and John, especially when they discovered that they were just ordinary men who had never had religious training. Then they began to understand the effect Jesus had on them simply by spending time with him.

14 Standing there with them was the healed man, and there was nothing further they could say. TPT

Acts 11:21 And the presence of the Lord was with them with power, so that a great number [learned] to believe (to adhere to and trust in and rely on the Lord) and turned and surrendered themselves to Him.  AMP

Acts 8:10 He had them all, from little children to old men, eating out of his hand. They all thought he had supernatural powers, and called him "the Great Wizard."

11 He had been around a long time and everyone was more or less in awe of him.

12 But when Philip came to town announcing the news of God's kingdom and proclaiming the name of Jesus Christ, they forgot Simon and were baptized, becoming believers right and left!

13 Even Simon himself believed and was baptized. From that moment he was like Philip's shadow, so fascinated with all the God-signs and miracles that he wouldn't leave Philip's side.  MSG

Acts 10:38 How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him. AMP

↕↕↕

ACTS 10:38 Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit and with great power. He did wonderful things for others and divinely healed all who were under the tyranny of the devil, for God had anointed him.  TPT

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God's power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek,  AMP

↕↕↕

ROM 1:16 I refuse to be ashamed of sharing the wonderful message of Gods liberating power unleashed in us through Christ! For I am thrilled to preach that everyone who believes is savedthe Jew first, and then people everywhere!  TPT

ROM 6:4-5 Sharing in his death by our baptism means that we were co-buried and entombed with him, so that when the Fathers glory raised Christ from the dead, we were also raised with him. We have been co-resurrected with him so that we could be empowered to walk in the freshness of new life.

For since we are permanently grafted into him to experience a death like his, then we are permanently grafted into him to experience a resurrection like his and the new life that it imparts. TPT

2 COR 13:4 For although he was crucified as a weakling, now he lives robed with Gods power. And we also are weak ones in our co-crucifixion with him, but now we live in Gods triumphant power together with him, which is demonstrated on your behalf. TPT

Rom 15:19 [Even as my preaching has been accompanied] with the power of signs and wonders, [and all of it] by the power of the Holy Spirit. [The result is] that starting from Jerusalem and as far round as Illyricum, I have fully preached the Gospel [faithfully executing, accomplishing, carrying out to the full the good news] of Christ (the Messiah) in its entirety.  AMP

↕↕↕

ROM 15:19 And I will not be presumptuous to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me. For many non-Jewish people are coming into faiths obedience by the power of the Spirit of God, which is displayed through mighty signs and amazing wonders, both in word and deed. Starting from Jerusalem I went from place to place as far as the distant Roman province of Illyricum, fully preaching the wonderful message of Christ TPT

1 Cor 1:5 [So] that in Him in every respect you were enriched, in full power and readiness of speech [to speak of your faith] and complete knowledge and illumination [to give you full insight into its meaning].  AMP

1 COR 1:18 To preach the messageof the cross seems like sheer nonsense to those who are on their way to destruction, but to us who are on our way to salvation, it is the mighty power of God released within us. TPT

1 Cor 2:4  and so nothing I said could have impressed you or anyone else. But the Message came through anyway. God's Spirit and God's power did it,

5 which made it clear that your life of faith is a response to God's power, not to some fancy mental or emotional footwork by me or anyone else.  MSG

 ↕↕↕

1 COR 2:4-5 The message I preached and how I preached it was not an attempt to sway you with persuasive arguments but to prove to you the almighty power of Gods Holy Spirit.

For God intended that your faith not be established on mans wisdom but by trusting in his almighty power. TPT

1 Cor 4:20 God's Way is not a matter of mere talk; it's an empowered life. MSG

2 Cor 3:5 Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God.  AMP

2 Cor 4:7 However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.  AMP

Eph 3:18  That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God's devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it];

19 [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!

20 Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]   AMP

2 Tim 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.

8 Do not blush or be ashamed then, to testify to and for our Lord, nor of me, a prisoner for His sake, but [with me] take your share of the suffering [to which the preaching] of the Gospel [may expose you, and do it] in the power of God.  AMP

↕↕↕

2 Tim 1:7 God doesn't want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold and loving and sensible.

8 So don't be embarrassed to speak up for our Master or for me, his prisoner. Take your share of suffering for the Message along with the rest of us. We can only keep on going, after all, by the power of God,

9 who first saved us and then called us to this holy work. We had nothing to do with it. It was all his idea, a gift prepared for us in Jesus long before we knew anything about it. MSG

↕↕↕

2 TIM 1:7-8  For God will never give you the spirit of fear but the Holy Spirit who gives you mighty power, love, and self-control.

So never be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor be embarrassed over my imprisonment, but overcome every evil by the revelation of the power of God! TPT

John 17:18 Just as You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.  AMP
