REGAINING YOUR FOCUS  12-20-2020

Focus means to concentrate, to see to be single minded about something at the expense of all other distractions. We have always been the Fathers focus. Jesus did so many miracles of restoring sight to the blind. It is a time for us to have our sight restored. Our vision strengthened, so we can see what lies before us without distraction.

Matt 13:13  That's why I tell stories: to create readiness, to nudge the people toward receptive insight. In their present state they can stare till doomsday and not see it, listen till they're blue in the face and not get it. MSG

Isa 61:1 THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound,  AMP

Luke 4:18 God's Spirit is on me; he's chosen me to preach the Message of good news to the poor, Sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, To set the burdened and battered free,  TPT

Mark 8:25 So Jesus laid hands on his eyes again. The man looked hard and realized that he had recovered perfect sight, saw everything in bright, twenty-twenty focus. MSG

Luke 7:21 In that very hour Jesus was healing many [people] of sicknesses and distressing bodily plagues and evil spirits, and to many who were blind He gave [a free, gracious, joy-giving gift of] sight.  AMP

Phil 3:13-16 I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,

14 I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.

15 So let those [of us] who are spiritually mature and full-grown have this mind and hold these convictions; and if in any respect you have a different attitude of mind, God will make that clear to you also.

16 Only let us hold true to what we have already attained and walk and order our lives by that. AMP

↕↕↕

PHIL 3:13-16 I dont depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead.

14 I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.

15 So let all who are fully mature have this same passion, and if anyone is not yet gripped by these desires, God will reveal it to them.

16 And let us all advance together to reach this victory-prize, following one path with one passion.  TPT

Matt 6:6 "Here's what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won't be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace. MSG

Rom 3:31 But by shifting our focus from what we do to what God does, don't we cancel out all our careful keeping of the rules and ways God commanded? Not at all. What happens, in fact, is that by putting that entire way of life in its proper place, we confirm it.  MSG

Rom 4:19  Abraham didn't focus on his own impotence and say, "It's hopeless. This hundred-year-old body could never father a child." Nor did he survey Sarah's decades of infertility and give up.

20 He didn't tiptoe around God's promise asking cautiously skeptical questions. He plunged into the promise and came up strong, ready for God,

21 sure that God would make good on what he had said.  MSG ↕↕↕

ROM 4:19-21 In spite of being nearly one hundred years old when the promise of having a son was made, his faith was so strong that it could not be undermined by the fact that he and Sarahwere incapable of conceiving a child.

2021 He never stopped believing Gods promise, for he was made strong in his faithto father a child. And because he was mighty in faith and convinced that God had all the power needed to fulfill his promises, Abraham glorified God! TPT

Gal 3:1 You crazy Galatians! Did someone put a hex on you? Have you taken leave of your senses? Something crazy has happened, for it's obvious that you no longer have the crucified Jesus in clear focus in your lives. His sacrifice on the Cross was certainly set before you clearly enough. MSG

 ↕↕↕

Gal 3:1   O YOU poor and silly and thoughtless and unreflecting and senseless Galatians! Who has fascinated or bewitched or cast a spell over you, unto whom right before your very eyes Jesus Christ (the Messiah) was openly and graphically set forth and portrayed as crucified?  AMP

Num 13:33 There we saw the Nephilim [or giants], the sons of Anak, who come from the giants; and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. AMP

Num 14:6-9 And Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among the scouts who had searched the land, rent their clothes,

7 And they said to all the company of Israelites, The land through which we passed as scouts is an exceedingly good land.

8 If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land flowing with milk and honey.

9 Only do not rebel against the Lord, neither fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their defense and the shadow [of protection] is removed from over them, but the Lord is with us. Fear them not.   AMP

ACTS 9:17-22 Ananias left and found the house where Saul was staying. He went inside and laid hands on him, saying, Saul, my brother, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me to pray for you so that you might see again and be filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit.

18 All at once, the crusty substance that was over Sauls eyes disappeared and he could see perfectly. Immediately, he got up and was baptized.

19 After eating a meal, his strength returned.

20 Within the hourhe was in the synagogues, preaching about Jesus and proclaiming, Jesus is the Son of God!

21 Those who heard him were astonished, saying among themselves, Isnt this the Saul who furiously persecuted those in Jerusalem who called on the name of Jesus? Didnt he come here with permission from the high priest to drag them off and take them as prisoners?

22 Sauls power increased greatly as he became more and more proficient in proving that Jesus was the anointed Messiah. Saul remained there for several days with the disciples, even though it agitated the Jews of Damascus. TPT

Acts 26:17 "'I'm sending you off

18 to open the eyes of the outsiders so they can see the difference between dark and light, and choose light, see the difference between Satan and God, and choose God. Rev 3:18 Therefore I counsel you to purchase from Me gold refined and tested by fire, that you may be [truly] wealthy, and white clothes to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nudity from being seen, and salve to put on your eyes, that you may see. AMP   ↕↕↕

↕↕↕

Luke 10:23-25  He then turned in a private aside to his disciples. "Fortunate the eyes that see what you're seeing!

24 There are plenty of prophets and kings who would have given their right arm to see what you are seeing but never got so much as a glimpse, to hear what you are hearing but never got so much as a whisper."  MSG

 ↕↕↕

Luke 10:23 Then turning to His disciples, He said privately, Blessed (happy, to be envied) are those whose eyes see what you see!

24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings longed to see what you see and they did not see it, and to hear what you hear and they did not hear it. AMP

1 John 3:2  But friends, that's exactly who we are: children of God. And that's only the beginning. Who knows how we'll end up! What we know is that when Christ is openly revealed, we'll see him and in seeing him, become like him. MSG

Isa 42:5  Here are the words of the true God, Yahweh, the one who created the starry heavens and stretched them out. He is the one who formed the earth and filled it with life. He gives breath to every person and spirit to everyone everywhere.
I, Yahweh, have commissioned you in righteousness to succeed. I will take your hand in love and watch over you. I will give you as a covenant for the people, a walking-light to the nations.
Your mission is to open blind eyes, to set prisoners free from dark dwellings, and to open prison doors to those who are held by darkness. TPT
