ENCOUNTERING GOD 5-14-21  VIDEO LARRY

Encounter is to have a face-to-face meeting, to contact, to experience. The Bible is full of many places where God encountered mankind. One encounter with Him will change everything. God is not a God of the dead but a God of the living. During the time of Jesus transfiguration they saw him as who he really was and how he really looks. Experience finding God when we seek God we encounter Him because He wants to be seen. When we encounter God we encounter love because God is love.

Eph 5:10 And try to learn [in your experience] what is pleasing to the Lord [let your lives be constant proofs of what is most acceptable to Him]. AMP

Ex 3:2 The Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, yet was not consumed.

3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.

4 And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the midst of the bush and said, Moses, Moses! And he said, Here am I.

5 God said, Do not come near; put your shoes off your feet, for the place on which you stand is holy ground.

6 Also He said, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.   AMP

Luke 20:37-38  But that the dead are raised [from death] even Moses made known and showed in the passage concerning the [burning] bush, where he calls the Lord, The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

38 Now He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to Him all men are alive [whether in the body or out    AMP

ISA 6:1-3  In the year that King Uzziah died, I clearly saw the Lord. He was seated on his exalted throne, towering high above me. His long, flowing robe of splendor spread throughout the temple.

Standing above him were the angels of flaming fire, each with six wings: with two wings they covered their faces in reverence, with two wings they covered their feet, and with two wings they flew.

And one called out to another, saying:  Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Commander of Angel Armies! The whole earth is filled with his glory!  TPT

ISA 6:5-8 Then I stammered and said, Woe is me! Im destroyeddoomed as a sinful man! For my words are tainted and I live among people who talk the same way. King Yahweh, Commander of Angel Armies! My eyes have gazed upon him!

Then out of the smoke, one of the angels of fire flew to me. He had in his hands a burning coal he had taken from the altar with tongs.

He touched my lips with it and said, See? The burning coal from the altar has touched your lips. Your guilt is taken away; your sin is blotted out.

Then I heard the Lord saying, Whom should I send to my people? Who will go to represent us? I spoke up and said, I will be the one. Send me. TPT

Gen 32:24 And Jacob was left alone, and a Man wrestled with him until daybreak.

25 And when [the Man] saw that He did not prevail against [Jacob], He touched the hollow of his thigh; and Jacob's thigh was put out of joint as he wrestled with Him.

26 Then He said, Let Me go, for day is breaking. But [Jacob] said, I will not let You go unless You declare a blessing upon me.

27 [The Man] asked him, What is your name? And [in shock of realization, whispering] he said, Jacob [supplanter, schemer, trickster, swindler]!

28 And He said, Your name shall be called no more Jacob [supplanter], but Israel [contender with God]; for you have contended and have power with God and with men and have prevailed.

29 Then Jacob asked Him, Tell me, I pray You, what [in contrast] is Your name? But He said, Why is it that you ask My name? And [the Angel of God declared] a blessing on [Jacob] there.

30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel [the face of God], saying, For I have seen God face to face, and my life is spared and not snatched away.  AMP

MK 9:2-7 After six days, Jesus took Peter and the two brothers, Jacob and John, and hiked up a high mountain to be alone. And Jesus appearance was dramatically altered, for he was transfigured before their very eyes!

His clothing sparkled and became glistening whitewhiter than any bleach in the world could make them.

Then suddenly, right in front of them, Moses and Elijah appeared, and they spoke with Jesus.

Peter blurted out, Good Teacher, this is so amazing to see the three of you together! Why dont we stay here and set up three shelters: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah?

(For all of the disciples were in total fear, and Peter didnt have a clue what to say.)

Just then, a radiant cloud began to spread over them, enveloping them all. And Gods voice suddenly spoke from the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son and you need to always listen to him! TPT

17 Yes, Father God lavished upon him radiant glory and honor when his distinct voice spoke out of the realm of majestic glory, endorsing him with these words: This is my cherished Son, marked by my love. All my delight is found in him!  TPT

2 Cor 3:18 And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit. You are his glory! MIRROR
