JOB'S COMFORTERS 11-12-21  VIDEO JOB AND HIS FRIENDS 2 #1

It seems that there is a mixed up message being sent out these days. In the book of Job, Job is going through a horrible time in his life. Loss, sickness, and depression. He had three friends who spoke into his life. Their advice seem on the surface to be good but Jobs heart receive their words as judgment with very little effort. Poor Job. Gods opinion was much different from those who were his friends. Jobs comforters, those who in self righteousness in the guise of comfort actually caused distress and sadness instead of hope. So instead of reminding your friend of what you fear most has come upon you or you dont have enough faith, lets look at what it means to bring comfort to a persons life.

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons (the angels) of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan (the adversary and accuser) also came among them.

7 And the Lord said to Satan, From where did you come? Then Satan answered the Lord, From going to and fro on the earth and from walking up and down on it.

8 And the Lord said to Satan, Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who [reverently] fears God and abstains from and shuns evil [because it is wrong]?  AMP

Job 1:6 One day when the angels came to report to God, Satan, who was the Designated Accuser, came along with them.

7 God singled out Satan and said, "What have you been up to?" Satan answered God, "Going here and there, checking things out on earth."

8 God said to Satan, "Have you noticed my friend Job? There's no one quite like him honest and true to his word, totally devoted to God and hating evil."  MSG

Job 2:3 And the Lord said to Satan, Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who [reverently] fears God and abstains from and shuns all evil [because it is wrong]? And still he holds fast his integrity, although you moved Me against him to destroy him without cause.

4 Then Satan answered the Lord, Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has will he give for his life.

5 But put forth Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse and renounce You to Your face.  AMP

Job 2:3  Then God said to Satan, "Have you noticed my friend Job? There's no one quite like him, is there honest and true to his word, totally devoted to God and hating evil? He still has a firm grip on his integrity! You tried to trick me into destroying him, but it didn't work."

4 Satan answered, "A human would do anything to save his life.

5 But what do you think would happen if you reached down and took away his health? He'd curse you to your face, that's what."  MSG

Job 3:25 For the thing which I greatly fear comes upon me, and that of which I am afraid befalls me.  AMP   ↕↕↕

Job 3:25 The worst of my fears has come true, what I've dreaded most has happened. MSG

Job 16:2  "I've had all I can take of your talk. What a bunch of miserable comforters!

3 Is there no end to your windbag speeches? What's your problem that you go on and on like this?

4 If you were in my shoes, I could talk just like you. I could put together a terrific harangue and really let you have it.

5 But I'd never do that. I'd console and comfort, make things better, not worse! MSG

PHILEMON  7:1 Your love has impacted me and brings me great joy and encouragement, for the hearts of the believers have been greatly refreshed through you, dear brother. TPT

JOHN 4:7 When a local Samaritan woman finally arrived to draw water, Jesus immediately asked her for a drink.

8 There was still no sign of the disciples.

9 The woman obviously anticipated this request and was ready with her response, You are a Jew, arent you? So why would you expect to get anything for free from a Samaritan woman? Within the politics of the day, Jews looked down upon the Samaritans and had no dealings with them.

10  He looked her in the eye and said, If you could see the generosity of Gods grace gift, you would perceive who I am!  So here I am asking you for a drink when you should be asking me and I would give you the water of life for free!  MIRROR  ?

JOHN 4:17 The woman answered, But I have no husband! Jesus responded with, This is an honest answer and confirms my point!

18 Marriage does not define you. You could have failed five times and this time youre not sure about committing yourself to the guy youre living with!

19 She was shocked! Sir! Now I know, you are a Prophet!   MIRROR

JOHN 4:25 The woman then said, I know the Messiah is coming, the one who is called the Christ and when he arrives he will declare everything to us from heavens perspective!

26 Jesus responded to her, So here I am, speaking to you! I am the One you were longing for.

27 Just then his disciples arrived; they were quite surprised that he was in such deep conversation with a woman, but made no remarks.

28 Leaving her water pot behind she hurried back to the city to tell the people what happened at the well.

29 Come quickly! I met a man who told me everything about my life! Could this possibly be the Messiah?  MIRROR

ISA 40:1 Your God says to you: Comfort, comfort my peoplewith gentle, compassionate words.2 Speak tenderly from the heart to revive those in Jerusalem, and proclaim that their warfare is over. Her debt of sin is paid for, and she will not be treated as guilty. Prophesy to her that she has received from the hand of Yahweh twice as many blessings as all her sins. TPT

1 JN 3:20-21 Whenever our hearts make us feel guilty and remind us of our failures, we know that God is much greater and more merciful than our conscience, and he knows everything there is to know about us.

21 My delightfully loved friends, when our hearts dont condemn us, we have a bold freedom to speak face-to-face with God.   TPT

↕↕↕

1 JOHN 3:20  So, even if our own hearts would 1accuse us of not really being true to ourselves, God is greater than our hearts and he has the full picture! His knowledge of us is not compromised.

21 Beloved when we know what God knows to be true about us, then instead of condemning us, our hearts will endorse our innocence and free our conversation before God.  MIRROR

2 COR 1:3 All praises belong to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he is the Father of tender mercy and the God of endless comfort.

He always comes alongside us to comfort us in every suffering so that we can come alongside those who are in any painful trial. We can bring them this same comfort that God has poured out upon us.

And just as we experience the abundance of Christs own sufferings, even more of Gods comfort will cascade upon us through our union with Christ.

If troubles weigh us down, that just means that we will receive even more comfort to pass on to you for your deliverance! For the comfort pouring into us empowers us to bring comfort to you. And with this comfort upholding you, you can endure victoriously the same suffering that we experience.

7 Now our hope for you is unshakable, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings you will also share in Gods comforting strength. TPT
