REIGNING IN LIFE  7-28-22  VIDEO REGIN BILL JOHNSON

We are positioned by the Holy Spirit to not just get by in life but to reign. Reign means to exercise power and authority to be overcomers in whatever circumstances we face. The enemy will attack us by challenging our position, trying to get us to give up the title, "children of God." Peter in spite of everything he got wrong recognized who Jesus  really was. The Father showed Peter  who Jesus was and who Peter was. His identity was revealed. It was the confession that changed Peters life. He was the first one to share the Gospel on Pentecost.  Because of who we are, we reign in Christ

Gen 3:1The serpent was clever, more clever than any wild animal God had made. He spoke to the Woman: "Do I understand that God told you not to eat from any tree in the garden?"

2 The Woman said to the serpent, "Not at all. We can eat from the trees in the garden.

3 It's only about the tree in the middle of the garden that God said, 'Don't eat from it; don't even touch it or you'll die.'"

4 The serpent told the Woman, "You won't die.

5 God knows that the moment you eat from that tree, you'll see what's really going on. You'll be just like God, knowing everything, ranging all the way from good to evil."

6 When the Woman saw that the tree looked like good eating and realized what she would get out of it she'd know everything! she took and ate the fruit and then gave some to her husband, and he ate.  MSG

LUKE 4:1 And Jesus, fully infused and prompted by Holy Spirit, intentionally turns back, away from the river Jordan into the wilderness and embarks on a forty day fast in order to victoriously face the same diabolic scrutiny that snared humanity in Adam and Eve, and later dramatically displayed in Israels forty year detour in the wilderness of their unbelief.

2 When the forty days were concluded, he felt famished, having not taken anything to eat at all.

3 The Devil had an immediate suggestion, If you really are the son of God, then prove it and do your magic! Tell this stone to become a loaf of bread!

4 And Jesus answered, It is written that man shall not live on bread alone.

5 He then showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited world in a split second.

6 And said to him, I will give you the glory and control of all these kingdoms since it was handed over to me and I can do with it whatever I please!

7 Its all yours if you worship me.

8 Jesus responded with, Get out of my face Satan! Scripture says, you shall worship the Lord your God with undivided adoration.

9 Then he led him to Jerusalem and brought him to the wing of the temple and challenged him to cast himself down, if he really is the son of God.

10 It is written, he says, that God would command his celestial messengers to protect you from any harm.

11 They would bear you up on their hands and protect you so that you will not even stumble over a stone.

12 Again, Jesus quoted Deuteronomy and said, you shall not put the Lord your God to the test. Testing is not trusting.

13 This concluded the devils scrutiny and he departed until an opportune time. MIRROR

Matt 16:16 Simon Peter said, "You're the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of the living God."

17 Jesus came back, "God bless you, Simon, son of Jonah! You didn't get that answer out of books or from teachers. My Father in heaven, God himself, let you in on this secret of who I really am.

18 And now I'm going to tell you who you are, really are. You are Peter, a rock. This is the rock on which I will put together my church, a church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out.

19 "And that's not all. You will have complete and free access to God's kingdom, keys to open any and every door: no more barriers between heaven and earth, earth and heaven. A yes on earth is yes in heaven. A no on earth is no in heaven."  MSG

Rom 5:17 For if one man's offence meant that men should be slaves to death all their lives, it is a far greater thing that through another man, Jesus Christ, men by their acceptance of his more than sufficient grace and righteousness, should live all their lives like kings!

18-19 We see, then, that as one act of sin exposed the whole race of men to God's judgment and condemnation, so one act of perfect righteousness presents all men freely acquitted in the sight of God. One man's disobedience placed all men under the threat of condemnation, but one man's obedience has the power to present all men righteous before God. PHILLIPS

ROM 5:17 Death no longer has the final say. Life rules! If the effect of one mans crash-landing engaged mankind in a death-dominated lifestyle how much more advantaged is the very same mankind now that they are the recipients of the boundless reservoirs of grace, empowering them to enjoy the dominion of life through the gift of righteousness because of that one man, Jesus Christ. Grace is out of all proportion in superiority to the transgression.

18 The conclusion is clear: if one offence condemns the entire human race; then in principle, the righteousness of one vindicates the entire human race.   MIRROR

1 COR 15:19 If our hope in Christ was restricted to only benefit us in this life then imagine the severity of our disappointment if it all had to come to an abrupt end when we died.

20 However this very moment the risen Christ represents everyone who has ever died; exactly like the first fruit represents the complete harvest.

21 The same mankind who died in a man was raised again in a man.

22 In Adam all died; in Christ all are made alive. MIRROR

ROM 5:21 Death provided sin its platform and power to reign from; now grace has taken over sovereignty through righteousness to introduce unthreatened life under the Lordship of Jesus Christ over us.  A simple equation: We were not made sinners by our own disobedience; neither were we made righteous by our own obedience.

The same humanity represented in the one man Adam, is triumphantly represented in the one man Jesus Christ!  Adams transgression no longer holds the human race hostage.  MIRROR

ROM 5:10 And you have made them unto God a realm of royalty to reign upon the earth as priests! MIRROR

1 Corinthians 1:30 For it is not from man that we draw our life but from God as we are being joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. And now he is our God-given wisdom, our virtue, our holiness, and our redemption.

31And this fulfills what is written: If anyone boasts, let him only boast in all that the Lord has done!  TPT

1 COR  1:30 Of Gods doing are we in Christ. He is both the genesis and genius of our wisdom; a wisdom that reveals how righteous, sanctified and redeemed we already are in him.

31 He is our claim to fame. MIRROR

2 COR 2:14 I am overwhelmed with gratitude! Wherever my travels take me I am so aware that God leads us as trophies in his victory parade. What he knows to be true about us diffuses through us like a perfume of sweet aroma everywhere we go, celebrating the success of the cross.

15 We are a sweet savor of Christ to God evident in everyone we meet. The fragrance of Christ is recognized in all to salvation. The same gospel that announces the fragrant victory of Christ declares the odor of death; the defeat of destruction in everyone!

16 The message we communicate is a fragrance with an immediate association; to darkness, it is the smell of doom [the death of death]; to life it is the familiar fragrance of life itself.   MIRROR

2 COR 5:17 Now, in the light of your co-inclusion in his death and resurrection, whoever you thought you were before, in Christ you are a brand new person! The old ways of seeing yourself and everyone else are over. Acquaint yourself with the new!

18  The idea of mankinds co-inclusion in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is entirely Gods doing! To now realize that God has indeed brought final closure to the old and for us to see everything and everyone in this new light is to simply see what God has always known to be true about us in Christ; we are not debating human experience, opinion, or their contribution; this is exactly what God believes. In Jesus Christ, God exchanged equivalent value to redeem us to himself. He went to the highest extreme in this act of reconciliation to persuade us of our original worth! This, God has given us as the mandate of our ministry.  MIRROR

2 Corinthians 5:17 Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new person. All that is related to the old order has vanished. Behold, everything is fresh and new.

18And God has made all things new, and reconciled us to himself, and given us the ministry of reconciling others to God. TPT

GAL 3:26 What Jesus Christ believes to be true about you is the final confirmation of mankinds redeemed sonship. His faith is the only valid reference to your belief!

27 To be immersed in Christ is to be fully clothed with him! He is your brand new wardrobe confirming your sonship!  MIRROR

Ephesians 1:3 Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesusall because he sees us wrapped into Christ. This is why we celebrate him with all our hearts!

4And in love he chose us before he laid the foundation of the universe! Because of his great love, he ordained us, so that we would be seen as holy in his eyes with an unstained innocence. TPT

Ephesians 1:10 And because of God's unfailing purpose, this detailed plan will reign supreme through every period of time until the fulfillment of all the ages finally reaches its climaxwhen God makes all things new in all of heaven and earth through Jesus Christ.

11Through our union with Christ we too have been claimed by God as his own inheritance. Before we were even born, he gave us our destiny; that we would fulfill the plan of God who always accomplishes every purpose and plan in his heart.

12God's purpose was that we Jews, who were the first to long for the messianic hope, would be the first to believe in the Anointed One and bring great praise and glory to God!  TPT

Ephesians 2:6 He raised us up with Christ the exalted One, and we ascended with him into the glorious perfection and authority of the heavenly realm, for we are now co-seated as one with Christ!  TPT

Ephesians 2:10 We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!  TPT

Eph 2:10 For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. Colossians 2:10 And our own completeness is now found in him. We are completely filled with God as Christ's fullness overflows within us. He is the Head of every kingdom and authority in the universe!  TPT

2 Tim 1:9  who first saved us and then called us to this holy work. We had nothing to do with it. It was all his idea, a gift prepared for us in Jesus long before we knew anything about it.

10 But we know it now. Since the appearance of our Savior, nothing could be plainer: death defeated, life vindicated in a steady blaze of light, all through the work of Jesus. MSG
