FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH 8-14-22 VIDEO

Many said fight the good fight FOR faith. But Paul says fight the good fight OF faith. The full measure of faith has been given to us through Christ. Circumstances rise to challenge this faith, but faith always wins. Youre in a fight but youve already won. Jesus can never lose the battle. Its our trust in Jesus when circumstances tell us otherwise.  Jesus during the time here on earth looked and responded to those who live in faith no matter what their circumstances. His faith brought immediate results. Miracles, no waiting but in his hometown they were indifferent. We are encouraged to hold fast to our faith because it is alive and full of power.

1 Tim 6:11 But you, Timothy, man of God: Run for your life from all this. Pursue a righteous life a life of wonder, faith, love, steadiness, courtesy.

12 Run hard and fast in the faith. Seize the eternal life, the life you were called to, the life you so fervently embraced in the presence of so many witnesses.

13 I'm charging you before the life-giving God and before Christ, who took his stand before Pontius Pilate and didn't give an inch:

14 Keep this command to the letter, and don't slack off. Our Master, Jesus Christ, is on his way.

15 He'll show up right on time, his arrival guaranteed by the Blessed and Undisputed Ruler, High King, High God.  MSG

1 Tim 6:11 But as for you, O man of God, flee from all these things; aim at and pursue righteousness (right standing with God and true goodness), godliness (which is the loving fear of God and being Christlike), faith, love, steadfastness (patience), and gentleness of heart.

12 Fight the good fight of the faith; lay hold of the eternal life to which you were summoned and [for which] you confessed the good confession [of faith] before many witnesses.

13 In the presence of God, Who preserves alive all living things, and of Christ Jesus, Who in His testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I [solemnly] charge you

14 To keep all His precepts unsullied and flawless, irreproachable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Anointed One),  AMP

John 6:47 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, he who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, relies on, and has faith in Me] has (now possesses) eternal life.  AMP

Heb 4:14  Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him].  AMP

Rom 4:16 Therefore, [inheriting] the promise is the outcome of faith and depends [entirely] on faith, in order that it might be given as an act of grace (unmerited favor), to make it stable and valid and guaranteed to all his descendants not only to the devotees and adherents of the Law, but also to those who share the faith of Abraham, who is [thus] the father of us all.

17 As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations. [He was appointed our father] in the sight of God in Whom he believed, Who gives life to the dead and speaks of the nonexistent things that [He has foretold and promised] as if they [already] existed. AMP    ↕↕↕

RO 4: 16 Therefore since faith sponsors the gift of grace, the promise is equally secured for all the children. The law has no exclusive claim on anyone.  Faith is our source, and that makes Abraham our father.

17 When God changed Abrams name to Abraham, he made a public statement that he would be the father of all nations. Here we see Abraham faced with Gods faith; the kind of faith that resurrects the dead and calls things which are not [visible yet] as though they were.  MIRROR

Gal 3:9 So those now who live by faith are blessed along with Abraham, who lived by faith this is no new doctrine!

10 And that means that anyone who tries to live by his own effort, independent of God, is doomed to failure. Scripture backs this up: "Utterly cursed is every person who fails to carry out every detail written in the Book of the law."

11 The obvious impossibility of carrying out such a moral program should make it plain that no one can sustain a relationship with God that way. The person who lives in right relationship with God does it by embracing what God arranges for him. Doing things for God is the opposite of entering into what God does for you. Habakkuk had it right: "The person who believes God, is set right by God and that's the real life."

12 Rule-keeping does not naturally evolve into living by faith, but only perpetuates itself in more and more rule-keeping, a fact observed in Scripture: "The one who does these things [rule-keeping]continues to live by them."  MSG

2 Cor 4:13 We're not keeping this quiet, not on your life. Just like the psalmist who wrote, "I believed it, so I said it," we say what we believe.

14 And what we believe is that the One who raised up the Master Jesus will just as certainly raise us up with you, alive.

15 Every detail works to your advantage and to God's glory: more and more grace, more and more people, more and more praise!

16 So we're not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace.

17 These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us.

18 There's far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can't see now will last forever. MSG

↕↕↕

2 COR 4: 13 We echo the exact same spirit of faith David had when he wrote: I believe and so I speak! We too believe and so we speak! Our persuasion is our conversation.

14 This resurrection life we enjoy in Jesus fully includes you.

15 Whatever we go through in the gospel is to advantage you! We live for you! As grace abounds in more and more people so does the volume of gratitude in the accomplished mission of Jesus break through the sound barrier to exhibit the heart dream of God.

16 We have much reason to be brave! There might be a lot of wear and tear on the outside; but dont be distracted by that! On the inside we are celebrating daily revival!

17 We are fully engaged in an exceedingly superior reality; the extent and weight of this glory make any degree of suffering vanish into insignificance! The suffering is fleeting and ever so slight by comparison to the weight and enduring effect of this glory we participate in for all eternity.

18 We are not keeping any score of what seems so obvious to the senses on the surface; it is fleeting and irrelevant; it is the unseen eternal realm within us which has our full attention and captivates our gaze!   MIRROR

Galatians 5:9 Don't you know that when you allow even a little lie into your heart, it can permeate your entire belief system?

10Deep in my heart I have confidence that the Lord, who lives in you, will bring you back around to the truth. And I'm convinced that those who trouble you, whoever they think they are, will bear the penalty!  TPT

1 Corinthians 16:13 Remember to stay alert and hold firmly to all that you believe. Be mighty and full of courage.  TPT

1Thessalonians 5:8 But since we belong to the day, we must stay alert and clearheaded by placing the breastplate of faith and love over our hearts, and a helmet of the hope of salvation over our thoughts.

9For God has not destined us for wrath but to possess salvation through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. TPT

↕↕↕

1 THESS 5:8 So let us clothe ourselves with day-garments, protecting our sober seeing by having our hearts fully guarded by the breastplate of love-inspired faith, and having our minds encircled, like a helmet, with an expectation which is consistent with what salvation declares!

9 For God did not set us up for disappointment; he is not teasing us with desires that we desperately reach for but cannot attain! He has brought us to a place where we are surrounded by the poetry of what salvation communicates in the lordship of Jesus Christ.  MIRROR

2 Thess 1:11 With this in view we constantly pray for you, that our God may deem and count you worthy of [your] calling and [His] every gracious purpose of goodness, and with power may complete in [your] every particular work of faith (faith which is that leaning of the whole human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness). AMP

Hebrews 4:12 For we have the living Word of God, which is full of energy, like a two-mouthed sword. It will even penetrate to the very core of our being where soul and spirit, bone and marrow meet! It interprets and reveals the true thoughts and secret motives of our hearts. TPT

↕↕↕

HEB 4:12 The message God spoke to us in Christ, is the most life giving and dynamic influence in us, cutting like a surgeons scalpel, sharper than a soldiers sword, piercing to the deepest core of human conscience, to the dividing of soul and spirit; ending the dominance of the sense realm and its neutralizing effect upon the human spirit. In this way a persons spirit is freed to become the ruling influence again in the thoughts and intentions of their heart. The scrutiny of this living Sword-Logos detects every possible disease, discerning the bodys deepest secrets where joint and bone-marrow meet.   MIRROR

James 5:15 And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. AMP

James 5:15 Believing-prayer will heal you, and Jesus will put you on your feet. And if you've sinned, you'll be forgiven healed inside and out.  MSG

Matt 8:8 Oh, no," said the captain. "I don't want to put you to all that trouble. Just give the order and my servant will be fine.

9 I'm a man who takes orders and gives orders. I tell one soldier, 'Go,' and he goes; to another, 'Come,' and he comes; to my slave, 'Do this,' and he does it."

10 Taken aback, Jesus said, "I've yet to come across this kind of simple trust in Israel, the very people who are supposed to know all about God and how he works.

11 This man is the vanguard of many outsiders who will soon be coming from all directions streaming in from the east, pouring in from the west, sitting down at God's kingdom banquet alongside Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

12 Then those who grew up 'in the faith' but had no faith will find themselves out in the cold, outsiders to grace and wondering what happened."  MSG

Matt 9:22 Jesus turned around and, seeing her, He said, Take courage, daughter! Your faith has made you well. And at once the woman was restored to health. AMP

Matt 9:29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith and trust and reliance [on the power invested in Me] be it done to you;  AMP

Matt 13:58 But Jesus said, "A prophet is taken for granted in his hometown and his family." He didn't do many miracles there because of their hostile indifference. MSG

Matt 17:20 He said to them, Because of the littleness of your faith [that is, your lack of firmly relying trust]. For truly I say to you, if you have faith [that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.  AMP

Matt 21:22 And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and [really] believing, you will receive. AMP

↕↕↕

Matthew 21:22Everything you pray for with the fullness of faith you will receive! TPT

John 11:26  And everyone who lives believing in me does not ultimately die at all. Do you believe this?"   MSG

Rom 1:17  God's way of putting people right shows up in the acts of faith, confirming what Scripture has said all along: "The person in right standing before God by trusting him really lives."  MSG

 ↕↕↕

ROM 1:17 Herein lies the secret of the power of the Gospel; there is no good news in it until the righteousness of God is revealed! The dynamic of the gospel is the revelation of Gods faith as the only valid basis for our belief. The Prophets wrote in advance about the fact that God believes that righteousness reveals the life of our design. Righteousness by his (Gods) faith defines life.  MIRROR

Hebrews 10:38And he also says, My righteous ones will live from my faith. But if fear holds them back, my soul is not content with them!

39But we are certainly not those who are held back by fear and perish; we are among those who have faith and experience true life!  TPT

↕↕↕

HEB 10:38 Righteousness by Gods faith defines life; reverting to the law of works grieves Gods work of grace.  MIRROR

ROM 3:28 This leaves us with only one logical conclusion, mankind is justified by Gods faith and not by their ability to keep the law. MIRROR

EPH 3:12 His faith in us gives our lives integrity. We echo and articulate the original conversation publicly. He is our platform to a global audience.  MIRROR

↕↕↕

Eph 3:12  When we trust in him, we're free to say whatever needs to be said, bold to go wherever we need to go. MSG

HEB 11:6  There is no substitute reward for faith. Faiths return exceeds any other sense of achievement. Faith knows that God is; those who desire to respond to his invitation to draw near, realize by faith that he is lifes most perfect gift.  MIRROR

↕↕↕

Heb 11:6 It's impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.  MSG
