FAITH RIGHTEOUSNESS OR THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF FAITH 10-7-22

video RIGHTEOUSNESS 2

We inherit and become Gods people by our believing in Jesus Christ and His finished work. We are made righteous by our faith in Christ. So then what is righteousness? We receive it by faith. Righteousness means that we are made right. Right standing before God. God is ours now because of our faith in Jesus. God knew we would be His. And that we would be His sons so we were made righteous before the creation of the world. We have rights standing and we are innocent before God.

Rom 4:13  For the promise to Abraham or his posterity, that he should inherit the world, did not come through [observing the commands of] the Law but through the righteousness of faith.

14 If it is the adherents of the Law who are to be the heirs, then faith is made futile and empty of all meaning and the promise [of God] is made void (is annulled and has no power).  AMP

↕↕↕

Romans 4:13 God promised Abraham and his descendants that they would have an heir who would reign over the world. This royal promise was not fulfilled because Abraham kept all the law, but through the righteousness that was transferred by faith.

14For if keeping the law earns the inheritance, then faith is robbed of its power and the promise becomes useless. TPT

↕↕↕

Rom 4:13-14 The ancient promise made to Abraham and his descendants, that they should eventually possess the world, was given not because of any achievements made through obedience to the Law, but because of the righteousness which had its root in faith. For if, after all, they who pin their faith to keeping the Law were to inherit God's world, it would make nonsense of faith in God himself, and destroy the whole point of the promise.   PHILLIPS

ROM 4:16 Therefore since faith sponsors the gift of grace, the promise is equally secured for all the children. The law has no exclusive claim on anyone [the reward system cannot match the gift principle]. Faith is our source, and that makes Abraham our father.    MIRROR

↕↕↕

Romans 4:16 The promise depends on faith so that it can be experienced as a grace-gift, and now it extends to all the descendants of Abraham. This promise is not only meant for those who obey the law, but also to those who enter into the faith of Abraham, the father of us all.  TPT

↕↕↕

Rom 4:16-17 The whole thing, then, is a matter of faith on man's part and generosity on God's. He gives the security of his own promise to all men who can be called "children of Abraham", i.e. both those who have lived in faith by the Law, and those who have exhibited a faith like that of Abraham. PHILLIPS

Rom 4:20 No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God,

21 Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised.

22 That is why his faith was credited to him as righteousness (right standing with God).

23 But [the words], It was credited to him, were written not for his sake alone,

24 But [they were written] for our sakes too. [Righteousness, standing acceptable to God] will be granted and credited to us also who believe in (trust in, adhere to, and rely on) God, Who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,  AMP

↕↕↕

Rom 4:20 He didn't tiptoe around God's promise asking cautiously skeptical questions. He plunged into the promise and came up strong, ready for God,

21 sure that God would make good on what he had said.

22 That's why it is said, "Abraham was declared fit before God by trusting God to set him right."

23 But it's not just Abraham;

24 it's also us! The same thing gets said about us when we embrace and believe the One who brought Jesus to life when the conditions were equally hopeless. MSG

↕↕↕

Romans 4:20 He never stopped believing God's promise, for he was made strong in his faith to father a child. And because he was mighty in faith and convinced that God had all the power needed to fulfill his promises, Abraham glorified God!

22So now you can see why Abraham's faith was credited to his account as righteousness before God.

23And this declaration was not just spoken over Abraham,

24but also over us. For when we believe and embrace the one who brought our Lord Jesus back to life, perfect righteousness will be credited to our account as well. TPT

ROM 1:17 Herein lies the secret of the power of the Gospel; there is no good news in it until the righteousness of God is revealed! The dynamic of the gospel is the revelation of Gods faith as the only valid basis for our belief. The Prophets wrote in advance about the fact that God believes that righteousness reveals the life of our design. Righteousness by his (Gods) faith defines life. MIRROR

Hab 2:4 Look at the proud; his soul is not straight or right within him, but the [rigidly] just and the [uncompromisingly] righteous man shall live by his faith and in his faithfulness.  AMP

Hab 2:4 "Look at that man, bloated by self-importance full of himself but soul-empty.

But the person in right standing before God through loyal and steady believing

is fully alive, really alive.  MSG

Gen 15:6 And he [Abram] believed in (trusted in, relied on, remained steadfast to) the Lord, and He counted it to him as righteousness (right standing with God).  AMP

↕↕↕

Gen 15:6  And he believed! Believed God! God declared him "Set-Right-with-God." MSG

Gal 3:11  The obvious impossibility of carrying out such a moral program should make it plain that no one can sustain a relationship with God that way. The person who lives in right relationship with God does it by embracing what God arranges for him. Doing things for God is the opposite of entering into what God does for you. Habakkuk had it right: "The person who believes God, is set right by God and that's the real life."

12 Rule-keeping does not naturally evolve into living by faith, but only perpetuates itself in more and more rule-keeping, a fact observed in Scripture: "The one who does these things [rule-keeping]continues to live by them."  MSG

↕↕↕

GAL 3:11 Habakkuk confirms conclusively that righteousness by Gods faith is the only basis to life; this terminates any possible justification before God based on moral behavior.

12 Law and faith have nothing in common! Law measures a persons doing and experience as defining their life. MIRROR

HEB 10:38 Righteousness by Gods faith defines life; reverting to the law of works grieves Gods work of grace.

39 But we are not of the quitting kind; we possess a persuasion of soul that believes against all the odds.  MIRROR

Phil 3:9 And that I may [actually] be found and known as in Him, not having any [self-achieved] righteousness that can be called my own, based on my obedience to the Law's demands (ritualistic uprightness and supposed right standing with God thus acquired), but possessing that [genuine righteousness] which comes through faith in Christ (the Anointed One), the [truly] right standing with God, which comes from God by [saving] faith. AMP

↕↕↕

Phil 3:8-9 For now my place is in him, and I am not dependent upon any of the self-achieved righteousness of the Law. God has given me that genuine righteousness which comes from faith in Christ. How changed are my ambitions! Now I long to know Christ and the power shown by his resurrection: PHILLIPS

ROM 10:10 This is where believing happens spontaneously, in the heart! The revelation of mankinds redeemed righteousness ignites a new conversation, announcing salvation.  MIRROR

Rom 10:10 " For it is believing in the heart that makes a man righteous before God, and it is stating his belief by his own mouth that confirms his salvation. And the scripture says: 'Whoever believes on him will not be put to shame'. PHILLIPS

Heb 11:7 By faith, Noah built a ship in the middle of dry land. He was warned about something he couldn't see, and acted on what he was told. The result? His family was saved. His act of faith drew a sharp line between the evil of the unbelieving world and the rightness of the believing world. As a result, Noah became intimate with God.  MSG ↕↕↕

Heb 11:7 [Prompted] by faith Noah, being forewarned by God concerning events of which as yet there was no visible sign, took heed and diligently and reverently constructed and prepared an ark for the deliverance of his own family. By this [his faith which relied on God] he passed judgment and sentence on the world's unbelief and became an heir and possessor of righteousness (that relation of being right into which God puts the person who has faith).  AMP

Eph 1:4 Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.  AMP

EPH 1:4  He associated us in Christ before 1the fall of the world! Jesus is Gods mind made up about us! He always knew in his love that he would present us again face-to-face before him in blameless innocence. MIRROR

ROM 5:16  The principle of the gift speaks a different language and brings a radically different equation to the table. Whereas a single sin resulted in a judgment that concluded in condemnation; grace translates countless deviations into acquittal and innocence.

17 Death no longer has the final say. Life rules! If the effect of one mans crash-landing engaged mankind in a death-dominated lifestyle how much more advantaged is the very same mankind now that they are the recipients of the boundless reservoirs of grace, empowering them to enjoy the dominion of life through the gift of righteousness because of that one man, Jesus Christ. Grace is out of all proportion in superiority to the transgression

18 The conclusion is clear: if one offence condemns the entire human race; then in principle, the righteousness of one vindicates the entire human race.

19 The disobedience of the one exhibits mankind as sinners; the obedience of another exhibits mankind as righteous.  MIRROR

ROM 8:10 The revelation of Christ in you declares that your body is as good as dead to sins demands; sin cannot find any expression in a corpse. You co-died together with him. Yet your spirit is alive because of what righteousness reveals.  MIRROR
