RESTING IN GOD 1-31-25 VIDEO REST 2
The Father is calling us to rest in Him. Its a spiritual rest from confusion, worry, stress, useless human effort. It means to be at peace to be still. It means to take a vacation from your troubles and leave it with God. Rest is holy its not a reward from productivity. Its Gods presence that gives us rest.
Ps 37:4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.
6 And He will make your uprightness and right standing with God go forth as the light, and your justice and right as [the shining sun of] the noonday.
7 Be still and rest in the Lord; wait for Him and patiently lean yourself upon Him; fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass. AMP
PS 37:4 Find your delight and true pleasure in Yahweh, and he will give you what you desire the most.
5 Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way, youll find he pulled it off perfectly!

7 Quiet your heart in his presence and wait patiently for Yahweh. And dont think for a moment that the wicked, in their prosperity, are better off than you. TPT

Phil 4:6 Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.
7 Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. MSG

PHIL 4:6 Let no anxiety about anything distract you! Rather translate moments into prayerful worship, and soak your requests in gratitude before God!
7 And in this place of worship and gratitude you will witness how the peace of God within you echoes the awareness of your oneness in Christ Jesus beyond the reach of any thought that could possibly unsettle you. Just like the sentry guard secures a city, watching out in advance for the first signs of any possible threat, your deepest feelings and the tranquillity of your thoughts are fully guarded there. Ps 16:9 Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my inner self] rejoices; my body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety,
10 For You will not abandon me to Sheol (the place of the dead), neither will You suffer Your holy one [Holy One] to see corruption.

Zeph 3:17 The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing. AMP
Heb 4:3 If we believe, though, we'll experience that state of resting. But not if we don't have faith. Remember that God said, Exasperated, I vowed, "They'll never get where they're going, never be able to sit down and rest." God made that vow, even though he'd finished his part before the foundation of the world.
4 Somewhere it's written, "God rested the seventh day, having completed his work,"
5 but in this other text he says, "They'll never be able to sit down and rest."
6 So this promise has not yet been fulfilled. Those earlier ones never did get to the place of rest because they were disobedient.
7 God keeps renewing the promise and setting the date as today, just as he did in David's psalm, centuries later than the original invitation: Today, please listen, don't turn a deaf ear . . . MSG
HEB 4:9 The conclusion is clear: the original rest is still in place for Gods people.
10 Gods rest celebrates his finished work; whoever enters into Gods rest immediately abandons his own efforts to improve what God has already perfected.
11 Let us therefore be prompt to understand and fully appropriate that rest and not fall again into the same trap that snared Israel in unbelief. MIRROR

Heb 4:9 So then, there is still awaiting a full and complete Sabbath-rest reserved for the [true] people of God;
10 For he who has once entered [God's] rest also has ceased from [the weariness and pain] of human labors, just as God rested from those labors peculiarly His own.
11 Let us therefore be zealous and exert ourselves and strive diligently to enter that rest [of God, to know and experience it for ourselves], that no one may fall or perish by the same kind of unbelief and disobedience [into which those in the wilderness fell]. AMP

Ps 116:7 Return to your rest, O my soul, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.
8 For You have delivered my life from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from stumbling and falling.
9 I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.
10 I believed (trusted in, relied on, and clung to my God), and therefore have I spoken [even when I said], I am greatly afflicted. AMP
