RESTING IN THE SPIRIT 10-16-26 VIDEO MY TESTIMONY
Rest in God means letting go of inner struggles, personal control, and constantly striving to trust this society for provision. Its trading anxiety for peace. Its a spiritual rest. Its rest for our souls, especially for those who feel burnt out. Its freedom from worry or stress. Its soul care. Jesus practiced it and we can too.
PS 37:7 Quiet down before God, be prayerful before him. Don't bother with those who climb the ladder, who elbow their way to the top. MSG
PS 62:5 God, the one and only - I'll wait as long as he says. Everything I hope for comes from him, so why not? MSG
ISA 28:12 and he'll do it through foreign oppressors. He said before, "This is the time and place to rest, to give rest to the weary. This is the place to lay down your burden." But they won't listen. MSG
HEB 4:3 Faith (not willpower) realizes our immediate access into Gods rest. Hear the echo of Gods cry though the ages, Oh! If only they would enter into my rest. His rest celebrates perfection. His work is complete; the fall of mankind did not flaw its perfection. MIRROR
HEB 3:18 Gods invitation does not exclude anyone from possessing the promise of his rest; their unbelief does. Persuasion cannot be compromised by unbelief. MIRROR
HEB 4:6 It is clear then that there is still an opportunity to enter into that rest which Israel failed to access because of their unbelief, even though they were the first to hear the Good News of Gods intention to restore mankind to the same Sabbath that Adam and Israel had lost. MIRROR

HEB 4:9 The conclusion is clear: the original rest is still in place for Gods people.
10 Gods rest celebrates his finished work; whoever enters into Gods rest immediately abandons his own efforts to improve what God has already perfected.
11 Let us therefore be prompt to understand and fully appropriate that rest and not fall again into the same trap that snared Israel in unbelief. MIRROR
GEN 2:2 By the seventh day, God had completed creating his masterpiece, so on the seventh day, he rested from all his work.
