FRUSTRATION TO EXPECTATION 10-28-12 VIDEO MARIGOLD 3
FRUSTRATION-a deep chronic sense or state of insecurity & dissatisfaction arising from unresolved problems. Defeat disappointment. It comes as a result of our lack of ability to bring something to pass.
EXPECTATION- Hope in the promise of God & knowing that He will bring it to pass. I must just stay on board for the ride. God will bring us to our destination. It is founded on Gods ability.
Job 3:11 Why was I not stillborn? Why did I not give up the ghost when my mother bore me? AMP
↕
Job 17:11 My days are past, my purposes and plans are frustrated; even the thoughts (desires and possessions) of my heart [are broken off]. AMP
↕↕↕
Job 17:11 My life's about over. All my plans are smashed, all my hopes are snuffed out MSG
↕
Job 33:16 Then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction [terrifying them with warnings],
17 That He may withdraw man from his purpose and cut off pride from him [disgusting him with his own disappointing self-sufficiency]. AMP
↕
Job 33:26 "Or, you may fall on your knees and pray to God's delight! You'll see God's smile and celebrate, finding yourself set right with God.
27 You'll sing God's praises to everyone you meet, testifying, 'I messed up my life
and let me tell you, it wasn't worth it.
28 But God stepped in and saved me from certain death. I'm alive again! Once more I see the light!' MSG
↕
Job 42:10 And the Lord turned the captivity of Job and restored his fortunes, when he prayed for his friends; also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. AMP
Gal 3:10 And that means that anyone who tries to live by his own effort, independent of God, is doomed to failure. Scripture backs this up: "Utterly cursed is every person who fails to carry out every detail written in the Book of the law." MSG
Gal 3:11 The obvious impossibility of carrying out such a moral program should make it plain that no one can sustain a relationship with God that way. The person who lives in right relationship with God does it by embracing what God arranges for him. Doing things for God is the opposite of entering into what God does for you. Habakkuk had it right: "The person who believes God, is set right by God and that's the real life."
12 Rule-keeping does not naturally evolve into living by faith, but only perpetuates itself in more and more rule-keeping, a fact observed in Scripture: "The one who does these things [rule-keeping]continues to live by them."
13 Christ redeemed us from that self-defeating, cursed life by absorbing it completely into himself. Do you remember the Scripture that says, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"? That is what happened when Jesus was nailed to the Cross: He became a curse, and at the same time dissolved the curse. MSG
Luke 12:18 Then he said, 'Here's what I'll do: I'll tear down my barns and build bigger ones. Then I'll gather in all my grain and goods,
19 and I'll say to myself, Self, you've done well! You've got it made and can now retire. Take it easy and have the time of your life!'
20 "Just then God showed up and said, 'Fool! Tonight you die. And your barnful of goods who gets it?'
21 "That's what happens when you fill your barn with Self and not with God." MSG
Rom 8:6 Obsession with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life.
7 Focusing on the self is the opposite of focusing on God. Anyone completely absorbed in self ignores God, ends up thinking more about self than God. That person ignores who God is and what he is doing.
8 And God isn't pleased at being ignored. MSG
2 Cor 6:3 Don't put it off; don't frustrate God's work by showing up late, throwing a question mark over everything we're doing.
4 Our work as God's servants gets validated or not in the details. People are watching us as we stay at our post, alertly, unswervingly . . . in hard times, tough times, bad times;
5 when we're beaten up, jailed, and mobbed; working hard, working late, working without eating;
6 with pure heart, clear head, steady hand; in gentleness, holiness, and honest love;
7 when we're telling the truth, and when God's showing his power; when we're doing our best setting things right;
8 when we're praised, and when we're blamed; slandered, and honored; true to our word, though distrusted;
9 ignored by the world, but recognized by God; terrifically alive, though rumored to be dead; beaten within an inch of our lives, but refusing to die;
10 immersed in tears, yet always filled with deep joy; living on handouts, yet enriching many; having nothing, having it all.
11 Dear, dear Corinthians, I can't tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life.
12 We didn't fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren't small, but you're living them in a small way.
13 I'm speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open up your lives. Live openly and expansively! MSG
WHAT TO GIVE UP Jer 15:19 Therefore thus says the Lord [to Jeremiah]: If you return [and give up this mistaken tone of distrust and despair], then I will give you again a settled place of quiet and safety, and you will be My minister; and if you separate the precious from the vile [cleansing your own heart from unworthy and unwarranted suspicions concerning God's faithfulness], you shall be My mouthpiece. [But do not yield to them.] Let them return to you not you to [the people].
20 And I will make you to this people a fortified, bronze wall; they will fight against you, but they will not prevail over you, for I am with you to save and deliver you, says the Lord.
21 And I will deliver you out of the hands of the wicked, and I will redeem you out of the palms of the terrible and ruthless tyrants. AMP
↕↕↕
Jer 15:19 This is how God answered me: "Take back those words, and I'll take you back. Then you'll stand tall before me. Use words truly and well. Don't stoop to cheap whining. Then, but only then, you'll speak for me. Let your words change them.
Don't change your words to suit them.
20 I'll turn you into a steel wall, a thick steel wall, impregnable. They'll attack you but won't put a dent in you because I'm at your side, defending and delivering." God's Decree.
21 "I'll deliver you from the grip of the wicked. I'll get you out of the clutch of the ruthless." MSG
Luke 6:37 Judge not [neither pronouncing judgment nor subjecting to censure], and you will not be judged; do not condemn and pronounce guilty, and you will not be condemned and pronounced guilty; acquit and forgive and release (give up resentment, let it drop), and you will be acquitted and forgiven and released. AMP
Luke 17:4 And even if he sins against you seven times in a day, and turns to you seven times and says, I repent [I am sorry], you must forgive him (give up resentment and consider the offense as recalled and annulled). AMP
Luke 9:23 And He said to all, If any person wills to come after Me, let him deny himself [disown himself, forget, lose sight of himself and his own interests, refuse and give up himself] and take up his cross daily and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying also].
24 For whoever would preserve his life and save it will lose and destroy it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he will preserve and save it [from the penalty of eternal death]. AMP
Luke 14:33 So then, any of you who does not forsake (renounce, surrender claim to, give up, say good-bye to) all that he has cannot be My disciple. AMP
Eph 6:9 You masters, act on the same [principle] toward them and give up threatening and using violent and abusive words, knowing that He Who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and that there is no respect of persons (no partiality) with Him. AMP
2 Tim 2:19 But the firm foundation of (laid by) God stands, sure and unshaken, bearing this seal (inscription): The Lord knows those who are His, and, Let everyone who names [himself by] the name of the Lord give up all iniquity and stand aloof from it. video JOHN CROWDER disappointing God 2
Heb 6:1 So come on, let's leave the preschool fingerpainting exercises on Christ and get on with the grand work of art. Grow up in Christ. The basic foundational truths are in place: turning your back on "salvation by self-help" and turning in trust toward God; MSG
Ps 49:7 Really! There's no such thing as self-rescue, pulling yourself up by your bootstraps. MSG
Prov 15:32 An undisciplined, self-willed life is puny; an obedient, God-willed life is spacious.
33 Fear-of-God is a school in skilled living first you learn humility, then you experience glory. MSG
Matt 16:25 Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self. MSG
DONT GIVE UP BUT EXPECT
1 Cor 9:10 Don't you think his concern extends to us? Of course. Farmers plow and thresh expecting something when the crop comes in. MSG
Ps 31:24 Be brave. Be strong. Don't give up. Expect God to get here soon. MSG
Ps 119:4 You, God, prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it.
Isa 54:17 but no weapon that can hurt you has ever been forged. Any accuser who takes you to court will be dismissed as a liar. This is what God's servants can expect.
I'll see to it that everything works out for the best." God's Decree. MSG
Jer 31:3 met God out looking for them!" God told them, "I've never quit loving you and never will. Expect love, love, and more love! MSG
2 Peter 3:12 Daily expect the Day of God, eager for its arrival. The galaxies will burn up and the elements melt down that day MSG
Ps 145:15 The eyes of all wait for You [looking, watching, and expecting] and You give them their food in due season. AMP
2 Peter 3:14 So, beloved, since you are expecting these things, be eager to be found by Him [at His coming] without spot or blemish and at peace [in serene confidence, free from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts]. AMP
Heb 9:28 Christ's death was also a one-time event, but it was a sacrifice that took care of sins forever. And so, when he next appears, the outcome for those eager to greet him is, precisely, salvation. MSG
Prov 23:18 For surely there is a latter end [a future and a reward], and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off. AMP
Ps 39:7 And now, Lord, what do I wait for and expect? My hope and expectation are in You. AMP
Ps 62:5 My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from Him. AMP
↕↕↕
Ps 62:5 God, the one and only I'll wait as long as he says. Everything I hope for comes from him, so why not? MSG
Lam 3:21 But this I recall and therefore have I hope and expectation:
22 It is because of the Lord's mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness.
Heb 3:14 For we have become fellows with Christ (the Messiah) and share in all He has for us, if only we hold our first newborn confidence and original assured expectation [in virtue of which we are believers] firm and unshaken to the end.
JOSEPH OF ARIMATHEA Luke 23:50 There was a man by the name of Joseph, a member of the Jewish High Council, a man of good heart and good character.
51 He had not gone along with the plans and actions of the council. His hometown was the Jewish village of Arimathea.
52 He lived in alert expectation of the kingdom of God. He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.
53 Taking him down, he wrapped him in a linen shroud and placed him in a tomb chiseled into the rock, a tomb never yet used. MSG
↕
Luke 24:1 At the crack of dawn on Sunday, the women came to the tomb carrying the burial spices they had prepared.
2 They found the entrance stone rolled back from the tomb,
3 so they walked in. But once inside, they couldn't find the body of the Master Jesus.
4 They were puzzled, wondering what to make of this. Then, out of nowhere it seemed, two men, light cascading over them, stood there.
5 The women were awestruck and bowed down in worship. The men said, "Why are you looking for the Living One in a cemetery?
6 He is not here, but raised up. Remember how he told you when you were still back in Galilee
7 that he had to be handed over to sinners, be killed on a cross, and in three days rise up?"
8 Then they remembered Jesus' words. MSG
Rom 4:18 [For Abraham, human reason for] hope being gone, hoped in faith that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been promised, So [numberless] shall your descendants be.
19 He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter] impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or [when he considered] the barrenness of Sarah's [deadened] womb.
20 No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God,
21 Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised. AMP
Zech 4:7 For who are you, O great mountain [of human obstacles]? Before Zerubbabel [who with Joshua had led the return of the exiles from Babylon and was undertaking the rebuilding of the temple, before him] you shall become a plain [a mere molehill]! And he shall bring forth the finishing gable stone [of the new temple] with loud shoutings of the people, crying, Grace, grace to it!
8 Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundations of this house; his hands shall also finish it. Then you shall know (recognize and understand) that the Lord of hosts has sent me [His messenger] to you. AMP
Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. AMP Video HELL WORK IT OUT 2
