WORD

Luke 8:13 "The seeds in the gravel are those who hear with enthusiasm, but the enthusiasm doesn't go very deep. It's only another fad, and the moment there's trouble it's gone. MSG



Acts 13:12 When the governor saw what happened, he became a believer, full of enthusiasm over what they were saying about the Master. MSG

Acts 4:19 But Peter and John replied to them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you and obey you rather than God, you must decide (judge).

Acts 4:19 But Peter and John spoke right back, "Whether it's right in God's eyes to listen to you rather than to God, you decide.

HOLY SPIRIT

PRAYER

Acts 12:5 So Peter was kept in prison, but fervent prayer for him was persistently made to God by the church (assembly). AMP

Acts 12:16 All this time poor Peter was standing out in the street, knocking away. Finally they opened up and saw him and went wild!

17 Peter put his hands up and calmed them down. He described how the Master had gotten him out of jail, then said, "Tell James and the brothers what's happened." He left them and went off to another place. MSG



FERVOR

1 Cor 16:13 Be alert and on your guard; stand firm in your faith (your conviction respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, keeping the trust and holy fervor born of faith and a part of it). Act like men and be courageous; grow in strength! AMP



2 Cor 5:7 For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance. AMP



Heb 10:38 But the just shall live by faith [My righteous servant shall live by his conviction respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, and holy fervor born of faith and conjoined with it]; and if he draws back and shrinks in fear, My soul has no delight or pleasure in him. AMP



Heb 11:2 For by [faith trust and holy fervor born of faith] the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report. AMP

40 Because God had us in mind and had something better and greater in view for us, so that they [these heroes and heroines of faith] should not come to perfection apart from us [before we could join them]. AMP



ANTISAPATION

Luke 2:36 And there was also a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old, having lived with her husband seven years from her maidenhood,

37 And as a widow even for eighty-four years. She did not go out from the temple enclosure, but was worshiping night and day with fasting and prayer.

38 And she too came up at that same hour, and she returned thanks to God and talked of [Jesus] to all who were looking for the redemption (deliverance) of Jerusalem. AMP



Luke 2:25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout [cautiously and carefully observing the divine Law], and looking for the Consolation of Israel; and the Holy Spirit was upon him.

26 And it had been divinely revealed (communicated) to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

LOVE

John 21:15 When they had eaten, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these [others do with reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion, as one loves the Father]? He said to Him, Yes, Lord, You know that I love You [that I have deep, instinctive, personal affection for You, as for a close friend]. He said to him, Feed My lambs. AMP



PRESENCE

Acts 1:14 All of these with their minds in full agreement devoted themselves steadfastly to prayer, [waiting together] with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers. AMP



Acts 2:42 And they steadfastly persevered, devoting themselves constantly to the instruction and fellowship of the apostles, to the breaking of bread [including the Lord's Supper] and prayers. AMP

Song 2:15 [My heart was touched and I fervently sang to him my desire] Take for us the foxes, the little foxes that spoil the vineyards [of our love], for our vineyards are in blossom. AMP

GOD ZEAL

Acts 2:25 David said it all: I saw God before me for all time. Nothing can shake me; he's right by my side.

26 I'm glad from the inside out, ecstatic; I've pitched my tent in the land of hope.

27 I know you'll never dump me in Hades; I'll never even smell the stench of death.

28 You've got my feet on the life-path, with your face shining sun-joy all around. MSG



Mark 10:16 And He took them [the children up one by one] in His arms and [fervently invoked a] blessing, placing His hands upon them. AMP



Luke 15:20 So he got up and came to his [own] father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was moved with pity and tenderness [for him]; and he ran and embraced him and kissed him [fervently]. AMP



John 2:17 And His disciples remembered that it is written [in the Holy Scriptures], Zeal (the fervor of love) for Your house will eat Me up. [I will be consumed with jealousy for the honor of Your house.] AMP

OUR ZEAL

Luke 8:52 Everyone was crying and carrying on over her. Jesus said, "Don't cry. She didn't die; she's sleeping."

53 They laughed at him. They knew she was dead.

54 Then Jesus, gripping her hand, called, "My dear child, get up."

55 She was up in an instant, up and breathing again! He told them to give her something to eat.

56 Her parents were ecstatic, but Jesus warned them to keep quiet. "Don't tell a soul what happened in this room." MSG



Mark 7:36 And Jesus [in His own interest] admonished and ordered them sternly and expressly to tell no one; but the more He commanded them, the more zealously they proclaimed it. AMP

1 Peter 1:22 Since by your obedience to the Truth through the [Holy ] Spirit you have purified your hearts for the sincere affection of the brethren, [see that you] love one another fervently from a pure heart. AMP



1 Chron 15:29 When the Chest of the Covenant of God entered the City of David, Michal, Saul's daughter, was watching from a window. When she saw King David dancing ecstatically she was filled with contempt. MSG



Isa 51:11 In the same way God's ransomed will come back, come back to Zion cheering, shouting, Joy eternal wreathing their heads, exuberant ecstasies transporting them and not a sign of moans or groans. MSG



2 Cor 12:2 For instance, I know a man who, fourteen years ago, was seized by Christ and swept in ecstasy to the heights of heaven. I really don't know if this took place in the body or out of it; only God knows. MSG

1 Tim 6:12 Run hard and fast in the faith. Seize the eternal life, the life you were called to, the life you so fervently embraced in the presence of so many witnesses. MSG



Rom 12:1 I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. 2 Tim 1:6 And the special gift of ministry you received when I laid hands on you and prayed keep that ablaze!

7 God doesn't want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold and loving and sensible.

Isa 60:1 ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you--rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!



2 Cor 9:2 I know you're on board and ready to go. I've been bragging about you all through Macedonia province, telling them, "Achaia province has been ready to go on this since last year." Your enthusiasm by now has spread to most of them. MSG
