CONFESSION 8-31-18

As Catholics confession is something we did often. We told the priest the sins we committed so that we could be forgiven. The word confession normally is to tell or speak out to someone about something we did such as a crime, or sins so that we could feel relieved. Confession is really our declaration of our believe that we speak forth to honor God. We speak out the faith that is in our hearts. We proclaim the hidden truth of the gospel. The word confess means to say the same thing as, to agree with, to speak one language. We are caution to not speak out loud anything contrary to God‘s word.
Confess really means to admit to acknowledge to say the same thing as God on earth as it is in heaven. When we confess and agree together we bring the whole government of heaven with us in agreement including Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

James 5:16 Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with. MSG

20 For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as My followers) in (into) My name, there I AM in the midst of them. AMP

Job 22:21 Acquaint now yourself with Him [agree with God and show yourself to be conformed to His will] and be at peace; by that [you shall prosper and great] good shall come to you.

Phil 2:1 If you’ve gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care —

2 then do me a favor: Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends.   MSG

▼▼▼

PHIL 2:1  Look at how much encouragement[a] you’ve found in your relationship with the Anointed One! You are filled to overflowing with his comforting love. You have experienced a deepening friendship with the Holy Spirit and have felt his tender affection and mercy.

So I’m asking you, my friends, that you be joined together in perfect unity—with one heart, one passion, and united in one love. Walk together with one harmonious purpose and you will fill my heart with unbounded joy. TPT

Matt 10:32 Therefore, everyone who acknowledges Me before men and confesses Me [out of a state of oneness with Me], I will also acknowledge him before My Father Who is in heaven and confess [that I am abiding in] him. AMP

▼▼▼

MATT 10:32 “If you openly and publicly acknowledge me, I will freely and openly acknowledge you before my heavenly Father. TPT

Rom 10:9 Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. AMP

▼▼▼

Rom 10:9 Say the welcoming word to God — “Jesus is my Master” — embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not “doing” anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That’s salvation.

10 With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between him and me!”   MSG ▼▼▼

ROM 10;9 And what is God’s “living message”? It is the revelation of faith for salvation, which is the message that we preach. For if you publicly declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will experience salvation.

10 The heart that believes in him receives the gift of the righteousness of God—and then the mouth gives thanks to salvation. TPT

Phil 2:11 And every tongue [frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. AMP

▼▼▼

PHIL 2:11 And every tongue will proclaim in every language: “Jesus Christ is Lord Yahweh,” bringing glory and honor to God, his Father TPT

1 Tim 3:16 And great and important and weighty, we confess, is the hidden truth (the mystic secret) of godliness. He [God] was made visible in human flesh, justified and vindicated in the [Holy] Spirit, was seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, [and] taken up in glory. AMP

▼▼▼

1 Tim 3:16 This Christian life is a great mystery, far exceeding our understanding, but some things are clear enough: He appeared in a human body, was proved right by the invisible Spirit, was seen by angels. He was proclaimed among all kinds of peoples, believed in all over the world, taken up into heavenly glory. MSG

▼▼▼

1 TIM 3:16 For the mystery of righteousness is truly amazing! He was revealed as a human being, and as our great High Priest in the Spirit Angels gazed upon him as a man and the glorious message of his kingly rulership is being preached to the nations! Many have believed in him and he has been taken back to heaven, and has ascended into the place of exalted glory  in the heavenly realm. Yes, great is this mystery of righteousness! TPT

Heb 10:23 So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word. AMP

▼▼▼

HEB 10:23 So now we must cling tightly to the hope that lives within us, knowing that God always keeps his promises! TPT

1 John 4:3 And every spirit which does not acknowledge and confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh [but would annul, destroy, sever, disunite Him] is not of God [does not proceed from Him]. This [nonconfession] is the [spirit] of the antichrist, [of] which you heard that it was coming, and now it is already in the world. AMP

2 John 1:7 For many imposters (seducers, deceivers, and false leaders) have gone out into the world, men who will not acknowledge (confess, admit) the coming of Jesus Christ (the Messiah) in bodily form. Such a one is the imposter (the seducer, the deceiver, the false leader, the antagonist of Christ) and the antichrist. AMP

▼▼▼

2 JOHN 1:7 Numerous deceivers have surfaced from among us and gone out into the world, people who will not acknowledge Jesus Christ coming as a man. These deceivers are antichrists! TPT

1 Tim 6:12 Fight the good fight of the faith; lay hold of the eternal life to which you were summoned and [for which] you confessed the good confession [of faith] before many witnesses.

13 In the presence of God, Who preserves alive all living things, and of Christ Jesus, Who in His testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I [solemnly] charge you AMP

▼▼▼

1 TIM 6:12 So fight with faith for the winner’s prize! Lay your hands upon eternal life, for this is your calling—celebrating in faith before the multitude of witnesses!

13 So now, I instruct you before the God of resurrection life and before Jesus, the Anointed One, who demonstrated a beautiful testimony even before Pontius Pilate,  TPT

Heb 3:1 SO THEN, brethren, consecrated and set apart for God, who share in the heavenly calling, [thoughtfully and attentively] consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest Whom we confessed [as ours when we embraced the Christian faith]. AMP

▼▼▼

Heb 3:1 So fight with faith for the winner’s prize!
