OVERCOME UNBELIEF

Overcoming Unbelief (BY BELIEVING) 7-28-19 video BELIEVE

Belief-to entrust (especially one’s spiritual well-being to Christ): of the conviction and trust to which a man is impelled by a certain inner and higher prerogative and law of his soul; thus, it stands: absolutely to trust in Jesus or in God as able to aid either in obtaining or in doing something.

Most important work that we can do according to Jesus is to believe. We act out of what we believe not what we know. Believing comes from the heart. Believe means to be persuaded of the truth of something because of the declaration of another. It’s not mental assent. Unbelief is distrust or disobedience. It’s hard to believe words if you don’t believe in the messenger. Everything comes from believing. Every part of our lives is blessed by believing. Ministry, finances and relationships are blessed by believing. Fears are dismissed by believing. It is the most important thing we can do. The problem is not our heart we must go from unbelieving to believing.

Jer 15:19 Therefore thus says the Lord [to Jeremiah]: If you return [and give up this mistaken tone of distrust and despair], then I will give you again a settled place of quiet and safety, and you will be My minister; and if you separate the precious from the vile [cleansing your own heart from unworthy and unwarranted suspicions concerning God’s faithfulness], you shall be My mouthpiece. [But do not yield to them.] Let them return to you — not you to [the people].

20 And I will make you to this people a fortified, bronze wall; they will fight against you, but they will not prevail over you, for I am with you to save and deliver you, says the Lord.

21 And I will deliver you out of the hands of the wicked, and I will redeem you out of the palms of the terrible and ruthless tyrants. AMP

John 6:28 They then said, What are we to do, that we may [habitually] be working the works of God? [What are we to do to carry out what God requires?]

29 Jesus replied, This is the work (service) that God asks of you: that you believe in the One Whom He has sent [that you cleave to, trust, rely on, and have faith in His Messenger]. AMP

John 6:28 They replied, “So what should we do if we want to do God’s work?”

29 Jesus answered, “The work you can do for God starts with believing in the One he has sent.” TPT

2 Cor 4:13 Yet we have the same spirit of faith as he had who wrote, I have believed, and therefore have I spoken. We too believe, and therefore we speak, AMP ▼▼▼

2 Corinthians 4:13 We have the same Spirit of faith that is described in the Scriptures when it says, “First I believed, then I spoke in faith.” So we also first believe then speak in faith. TPT

Mark 11:23 Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him.

24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]. AMP

▼▼▼

Mark 11:23 Listen to the truth I speak to you: If someone says to this mountain with great faith and having no doubt, ‘Mountain, be lifted up and thrown into the midst of the sea,’ and believes that what he says will happen, it will be done.

24 This is the reason I urge you to boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer—believe that you have received it and it will be yours. TPT

Mark 6:5 And He was not able to do even one work of power there, except that He laid His hands on a few sickly people [and] cured them. AMP

John 5:44 Of course you’re unable to believe in me. For you live for the praises of others and not for the praise that comes from the only true God. TPT

John 5:44 How do you expect to get anywhere with God when you spend all your time jockeying for position with each other, ranking your rivals and ignoring God?   MSG

Mark 9:21 He asked the boy’s father, “How long has this been going on?” “Ever since he was a little boy.

22 Many times it pitches him into fire or the river to do away with him. If you can do anything, do it. Have a heart and help us!”

23 Jesus said, “If? There are no ‘ifs’ among believers. Anything can happen.”

24 No sooner were the words out of his mouth than the father cried, “Then I believe. Help me with my doubts!” MSG

John 10:38  But if you see me doing the beautiful works of God upon the earth, then you should at least believe the evidence of the miracles, even if you don’t believe my words! Then you would come to experience me and be convinced that I am in the Father and the Father is in me.” TPT

John 14:11  Believe that I live as one with my Father and that my Father lives as one with me—or at least, believe because of the mighty miracles I have done.

12 “I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows me in faith, believing in me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with my Father!

13 For I will do whatever you ask me to do when you ask me in my name. And that is how the Son will show what the Father is really like and bring glory to him. 14 Ask me anything in my name, and I will do it for you!” TPT

Mark 16:17  And these miracle signs will accompany those who believe: They will drive out demons in the power of my name. They will speak in tongues.

18 They will be supernaturally protected from snakes and from drinking anything poisonous. And they will lay hands on the sick and heal them.” TPT

Mark 16:17 “These are some of the signs that will accompany believers: They will throw out demons in my name, they will speak in new tongues,

18 they will take snakes in their hands, they will drink poison and not be hurt, they will lay hands on the sick and make them well.”   MSG

John 1:12 But whoever did want him, who believed he was who he claimed

and would do what he said, He made to be their true selves, their child-of-God selves.

13 These are the God-begotten, not blood-begotten, not flesh-begotten, not sex-begotten.  MSG

John 1:12  But those who embraced him and took hold of his name were given authority to become the children of God!
13 He was not born by the joining of human parents or from natural means, or by a man’s desire, but he was born of God

Rom 10:8 But what does it say? The Word (God’s message in Christ) is near you, on your lips and in your heart; that is, the Word (the message, the basis and object) of faith which we preach,

9 Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.

11 The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed. AMP

▼▼▼

Rom 10:8 So what exactly was Moses saying? The word that saves is right here, as near as the tongue in your mouth, as close as the heart in your chest. It’s the word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of our preaching.

9 Say the welcoming word to God — “Jesus is my Master” — embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not “doing” anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That’s salvation.

10 With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between him and me!”

11 Scripture reassures us, “No one who trusts God like this — heart and soul — will ever regret it.” MSG

▼▼▼

Romans 10:8  But the faith-righteousness we receive speaks to us in these words of Moses :“God’s living message is very close to you, as close as your own heart beating in your chest and as near as the tongue in your mouth.”

And what is God’s “living message”? It is the revelation of faith for salvation, which is the message that we preach. For if you publicly declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will experience salvation.

10 The heart that believes in him receives the gift of the righteousness of God—and then the mouth gives thanks to salvation.

11 For the Scriptures encourage us with these words: “Everyone who believes in him will never be disappointed. TPT

John 11:26 And whoever continues to live and believes in (has faith in, cleaves to, and relies on) Me shall never [actually] die at all. Do you believe this? AMP

John 12:36 While you have the Light, believe in the Light [have faith in it, hold to it, rely on it], that you may become sons of the Light and be filled with Light. Jesus said these things, and then He went away and hid Himself from them [was lost to their view]. AMP

▼▼▼

John 12:36  So believe and cling to the light while I am with you, so that you will become children of light.” After saying this, Jesus then entered into the crowd and hid himself from them. TPT

Rom 3:22 Namely, the righteousness of God which comes by believing with personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ (the Messiah). [And it is meant] for all who believe. For there is no distinction, AMP ▼▼▼

Rom 3:22 But now, independently of the law, the righteousness of God is tangible and brought to light through Jesus, the Anointed One. This is the righteousness that the Scriptures prophesied would come. It is God’s righteousness made visible through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. And now all who believe in him receive that gift. For there is really no difference between us, TPT

Eph 1:19 And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength, AMP

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out]. AMP

Hebrews 11:6  And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who give all their passion and strength into seeking him. TPT
