BEAR UP 6-26-2020

Suffering in the Bible does not mean tolerating pain or discomfort. It’s referring to worry, anxiety, pressure and trials. We are to bear up under these circumstances and hard times because victory has already been given to us.

Dan 3:16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, it is not necessary for us to answer you on this point.

17 If our God Whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, He will deliver us out of your hand, O king.

18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up!

19 Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury and his facial expression was changed [to antagonism] against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Therefore he commanded that the furnace should be heated seven times hotter than it was usually heated.

20 And he commanded the strongest men in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

21 Then these [three] men were bound in their cloaks, their tunics or undergarments, their turbans, and their other clothing, and they were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

22 Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent and the furnace exceedingly hot, the flame and sparks from the fire killed those men who handled Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the burning fiery furnace.

24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king [saw and] was astounded, and he jumped up and said to his counselors, Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered, True, O king.

25 He answered, Behold, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt! And the form of the fourth is like a son of the gods!

26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, you servants of the Most High God, come out and come here. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out from the midst of the fire.

27 And the satraps, the deputies, the governors, and the king’s counselors gathered around together and saw these men — that the fire had no power  garments scorched or changed in color or condition, nor had even the smell of smoke clung to them.  AMP

Deut 4:20 But you — God took you right out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to become the people of his inheritance — and that’s what you are this very day. MSG

Rom 8:17 And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him]; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory. AMP ▼▼▼

Rom 8:17 And since we are his true children, we qualify to share all his treasures, for indeed, we are heirs of God himself. And since we are joined to Christ, we also inherit all that he is and all that he has. We will experience being co-glorified with him provided that we accept his sufferings as our own. TPT

1 Cor 10:13 For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently. 1 COR 10:13 We all experiencetimes of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you faceso that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escapethat will bring you out of it victoriously TPT

2 Cor 4:8 We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair;

9 We are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed;

10 Always carrying about in the body the liability and exposure to the same putting to death that the Lord Jesus suffered, so that the [resurrection] life of Jesus also may be shown forth by and in our bodies.

11 For we who live are constantly [experiencing] being handed over to death for Jesus’ sake, that the [resurrection] life of Jesus also may be evidenced through our flesh which is liable to death.

12 Thus death is actively at work in us, but [it is in order that our] life [may be actively at work] in you.

13 Yet we have the same spirit of faith as he had who wrote, I have believed, and therefore have I spoken. We too believe, and therefore we speak,  AMP

2 Cor 6:4 Our work as God’s servants gets validated — or not — in the details. People are watching us as we stay at our post, alertly, unswervingly . . . in hard times, tough times, bad times;

5 when we’re beaten up, jailed, and mobbed; working hard, working late, working without eating;

6 with pure heart, clear head, steady hand; in gentleness, holiness, and honest love;

7 when we’re telling the truth, and when God’s showing his power; when we’re doing our best setting things right;

8 when we’re praised, and when we’re blamed; slandered, and honored; true to our word, though distrusted;

9 ignored by the world, but recognized by God; terrifically alive, though rumored to be dead; beaten within an inch of our lives, but refusing to die;

10 immersed in tears, yet always filled with deep joy; living on handouts, yet enriching many; having nothing, having it all.

11 Dear, dear Corinthians, I can’t tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life.

12 We didn’t fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren’t small, but you’re living them in a small way.

13 I’m speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open up your lives. Live openly and expansively!  MSG

John 16:33  I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.”  MSG

1 John 5:4 Every God-begotten person conquers the world’s ways. The power that brings the world to its knees is our faith.

5 The person who wins out over the world’s ways is simply the one who believes Jesus is the Son of God. MSG

1 JN 5:4-5 You see, every child of God overcomesthe world, for our faith is the victorious power that triumphs over the world.

So who are the world conquerors, defeating its power? Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God. TPT

ISA 53:4-5 Yet he was the one who carried our sicknessesand endured the torment of our sufferings. We viewed him as one who was being punished for something he himself had done, as one who was struck down by God and brought low.
But it was because of our rebellious deeds that he was piercedand because of our sins that he was crushed He endured the punishment that made us completely whole, and inhis woundingwe found our healing. TPT

Rom 8:18 That’s why I don’t think there’s any comparison between the present hard times and the coming good times.

19 The created world itself can hardly wait for what’s coming next.

20 Everything in creation is being more or less held back. God reins it in

21 until both creation and all the creatures are ready and can be released at the same moment into the glorious times ahead. Meanwhile, the joyful anticipation deepens.

22 All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it’s not only around us; it’s within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We’re also feeling the birth pangs. MSG

2 TIM 1:12 The confidence of my calling enables me to overcome every difficulty without shame, for I have an intimate revelation of this God. And my faith in him convinces me that he is more than able to keep all that I’ve placed in his hands safe and secure until the fullness of his appearing.

13 Allow the healing words you’ve heard from me to live in you and make them a model for life as your faith and love for the Anointed One grows even more. 14 Guard well this incomparable treasure by the Spirit of Holiness living within you. TPT

2 Tim 2:3 When the going gets rough, take it on the chin with the rest of us, the way Jesus did.

4 A soldier on duty doesn’t get caught up in making deals at the marketplace. He concentrates on carrying out orders.

 5 An athlete who refuses to play by the rules will never get anywhere.

6 It’s the diligent farmer who gets the produce.

7 Think it over. God will make it all plain.

8 Fix this picture firmly in your mind: Jesus, descended from the line of David, raised from the dead. It’s what you’ve heard from me all along.

9 It’s what I’m sitting in jail for right now — but God’s Word isn’t in jail!

10 That’s why I stick it out here — so that everyone God calls will get in on the salvation of Christ in all its glory.

11 This is a sure thing: If we die with him, we’ll live with him;

12 If we stick it out with him, we’ll rule with him; If we turn our backs on him, he’ll turn his back on us;

13 If we give up on him, he does not give up — for there’s no way he can be false to himself.  MSG

1 PET 2:19-24 You find God’s favor by deciding to please God even when you endure hardships because of unjust suffering.

20 For what merit is it to endure mistreatment for wrongdoing? Yet if you are mistreated when you do what is right, and you faithfully endure it, this is commendable before God.

21 In fact, you were called to live this way, because Christ also suffered in your place, leaving you his example for you to follow.

22 He never sinned and he never spoke deceitfully.

23 When he was verbally abused, he did not return with an insult; when he suffered, he would not threaten retaliation. Jesus faithfully entrusted himself into the hands of God, who judges righteously.

24 He himself carried our sinsin his body on the crossso that we would be dead to sinand live for righteousness. Our instant healing flowed from his wounding. TPT

Phil 2:15 That you may show yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish (faultless, unrebukable) in the midst of a crooked and wicked generation [spiritually perverted and perverse], among whom you are seen as bright lights (stars or beacons shining out clearly) in the [dark] world,

16 Holding out [to it] and offering [to all men] the Word of Life, so that in the day of Christ I may have something of which exultantly to rejoice and glory in that I did not run my race in vain or spend my labor to no purpose.  AMP

Heb 2:18 For because He Himself [in His humanity] has suffered in being tempted (tested and tried), He is able [immediately] to run to the cry of (assist, relieve) those who are being tempted and tested and tried [and who therefore are being exposed to suffering].  AMP

JAMES 1:2 My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can!

For you know that when your faith is testedit stirs up power within you to endure all things.

And then as your endurance grows even stronger it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking. TPT

Isa 41:10 Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to *difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.  AMP

Rom 8:37 None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us.

38 I’m absolutely convinced that nothing — nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow,

39 high or low, thinkable or unthinkable — absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us. MSG

ISA 25:8 It is the gloom of death! He will swallow it up in victory forever!And God, Lord Yahweh, will wipe away  every tear from every face. He will remove every trace of disgrace  that his people have suffered throughout the world, for the Lord Yahweh has promised it! TPT

1 Cor 15:57 But now in a single victorious stroke of Life, all three — sin, guilt, death — are gone, the gift of our Master, Jesus Christ. Thank God!

58 With all this going for us, my dear, dear friends, stand your ground. And don’t hold back. Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort.  MSG
