GOD IS OUR SHELTER 8-21-2020

God is our shelter. He is also renewing our strength. To be a shelter means a place where one is protected from harm, a covering. Renewed strength is when you feel like you have reached your end, God will strengthen you again to complete that would He began in you.

Ps 27:5 For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock. AMP

PS 27:5 In his shelter in the day of trouble, that’s where you’ll find me, for he hides me there in his holiness. He has smuggled me into his secret place, where I’m kept safe and secure—out of reach from all my enemies. Triumphant now, I’ll bring him my offerings of praise, singing and shouting with ecstatic joy! Yes, listen and you can hear the fanfare of my shouts of praise to the Lord! TPT

PS 91:1-4 When you sit enthronedunder the shadow of Shaddai, you are hiddenin the strength of God Most High.
He’s the hope that holds me and the Stronghold to shelter me, the only God for me, and my great confidence.
He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy, and he will protect you from false accusation and any deadly curse.
His massive armsare wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under his covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm. TPT

Ps 57:1 Be good to me, God — and now! I’ve run to you for dear life. I’m hiding out under your wings until the hurricane blows over.

2 I call out to High God, the God who holds me together. MSG

PS 61:3-4 Lord, you are a paradise of protection to me. You lift me high above the fray. None of my foes can touch me when I’m held firmly in your wrap-around presence!Keep me in this glory. Let me live continually under your splendor-shadow, hiding my life in you forever. Pause in his presence TPT

Isa 43:1 But now, God’s Message, the God who made you in the first place, Jacob, the One who got you started, Israel: “Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you. I’ve called your name. You’re mine.

2 When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you. When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down. When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end — 

3 Because I am God, your personal God, The Holy of Israel, your Savior.

I paid a huge price for you: all of Egypt, with rich Cush and Seba thrown in!

Rev 7:15 For this reason they are [now] before the [very] throne of God and serve Him day and night in His sanctuary (temple); and He Who is sitting upon the throne will protect and spread His tabernacle over and shelter them with His presence.

16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun smite them, nor any scorching heat.  AMP

REV 7:15-16 For this reason they are before the throne of God, ministering to him as priestsday and night, within his cloud-filled sanctuary. And the enthroned One spreads over them his tabernacle-shelter.

16 Their souls will be completely satisfied. And neither the sun nor any scorching heat will affect them. TPT

Ps 71:3 Be to me a rock of refuge in which to dwell, and a sheltering stronghold to which I may continually resort, which You have appointed to save me, for You are my Rock and my Fortress. AMP

PS 71:3 You’re the only place of protection for me. I keep coming back to hide myself in you, for you are like a mountain-cliff fortress where I’m kept safe. TPT

Eph 6:10 In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].  AMP

Ex 15:2 The Lord is my Strength and my Song, and He has become my Salvation; this is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.   AMP

PS 18:1-3  Lord, I passionately love you and I’m bonded to you, for now you’ve become my power!You’re as real to me as bedrock beneath my feet, like a castle on a cliff, my forever firm fortress, my mountain of hiding, my pathway of escape, my tower of rescue where none can reach me. My secret strength and shield around me, you are salvation’s ray of brightness shining on the hillside, always the champion of my cause.
All I need to do is to call to you, singing to you, the praiseworthy God. When I do, I’m safe and sound in you. TPT

Ps 20:6 Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand.  AMP

Ps 28:7 The Lord is my Strength and my [impenetrable] Shield; my heart trusts in, relies on, and confidently leans on Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song will I praise Him.

8 The Lord is their [unyielding] Strength, and He is the Stronghold of salvation to [me] His anointed.  AMP

Ps 46:1  GOD IS our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. AMP

Ps 52:7 See, this is the man who made not God his strength (his stronghold and high tower) but trusted in and confidently relied on the abundance of his riches, seeking refuge and security for himself through his wickedness.

8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in and confidently rely on the loving-kindness and the mercy of God forever and ever.

9 I will thank You and confide in You forever, because You have done it [delivered me and kept me safe]. I will wait on, hope in and expect in Your name, for it is good, in the presence of Your saints (Your kind and pious ones). AMP

it’s in God alone and I love him!
He’s the one who gives me strength and skill for the battle. TPT

ISA 40:29-31 He empowers the feebleand infuses the powerless with increasing strength.30 Even young people faint and get exhausted; athletic onesmay stumble and fall.
31 But those who wait for Yahweh’s grace will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their race without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up TPT

Mic 5:4 And He shall stand and feed His flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord His God; and they shall dwell [secure], for then shall He be great [even] to the ends of the earth.   AMP

Nah 1:7 The Lord is good, a Strength and Stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows (recognizes, has knowledge of, and understands) those who take refuge and trust in Him.  AMP

Luke 10:19 See what I’ve given you? Safe passage as you walk on snakes and scorpions, and protection from every assault of the Enemy. No one can put a hand on you. MSG

1 Cor 1:8  And not only that, but God himself is right alongside to keep you steady and on track until things are all wrapped up by Jesus.

9 God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure, shares with us the life of his Son and our Master Jesus. He will never give up on you. Never forget that.
