THE IMPORTANCE OF EXPECTATION 6-25-21

THE IMPORTANCES OF EXPECTATION 6-25-21

Expectation is a strong belief that something will happen in the future. A future and a hope for good. To reach forward to fix your eyes upon.

ISA 30:18 For this reason the Lord is still waiting to show his favor to you so he can show you his marvelous love. He waits to be gracious to you. He sits on his throne ready to show mercy to you. For Yahweh is the Lord of justice, faithful to keep his promises. Overwhelmed with bliss are all who will entwine their hearts in him, waiting for him to help them. TPT

EPH 2:10 We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good workswe would do to fulfill it! TPT

Ps 85:8 I will listen [with expectancy] to what God the Lord will say, for He will speak peace to His people, to His saints (those who are in right standing with Him) — but let them not turn again to [self-confident] folly. AMP

Ps 85:8  I can’t wait to hear what he’ll say. God’s about to pronounce his people well, The holy people he loves so much, so they’ll never again live like fools. MSG

EX:WISEMEN,  Matt 2:1 NOW WHEN Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men [astrologers] from the east came to Jerusalem, asking,

2 Where is He Who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east at its rising and have come to worship Him.  AMP

PROV 13:12  When hope’s dream seems to drag on and on, the delay can be depressing. But when at last your dream comes true, life’s sweetness will satisfy your soul. TPT

LUKE 2:25 And significantly so, there happened to be a man Simeon, in Jerusalem; he was a righteous man who embraced the goodness of God.

26 Simeon had a Holy Spirit encounter and knew that he would not die before he sees the Lord’s Anointed.

27 Prompted in the spirit, he arrived at the temple as the parents of the child Jesus, brought him in, as prescribed in their tradition and law.

28 And Simeon, holding the little child in his arms began to speak eloquent praises to God and said,

29 My Master, I am fully satisfied; you can now release your bond-servant in peace. I am holding your incarnate word in my arms!

30 And my eyes have seen your salvation! MIRROR

LUKE 2:36 There was also a prophetess Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, from the tribe of Asher. She was already far advanced in her days and a widow for eighty four years. Her husband died when she was only twenty one and married for seven years.

2:37 For all these years, since her husband’s death, she ministered to the Lord continually in the temple with prayers and frequent fastings.

2:38 As Simeon concluded his prophetic song over the family, Anna mirror-echoed his words in a song of thanksgiving to God for the child. And from that day on, she told everyone in Jerusalem that their Darling, the anticipated Messiah-redeemer has come!  MIRROR

Acts 27:22 But [even] now I beg you to be in good spirits and take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you but only of the ship.

23 For this [very] night there stood by my side an angel of the God to Whom I belong and Whom I serve and worship,

24 And he said, Do not be frightened, Paul! It is necessary for you to stand before Caesar; and behold, God has given you all those who are sailing with you.

25 So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith (complete confidence) in God that it will be exactly as it was told me;  AMP

PS 33:18 The eyes of the Lord are upon even the weakest worshipers who love him— those who wait in hope and expectation for the strong, steady love of God. TPT

PS 40:5 O Lord, our God, no one can compare with you. Such wonderful works and miracles are all found with you! And you think of us all the timewith your countless expressions of love—far exceeding our expectations! TPT

Rom 8:15-17 This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?”

16 God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who he is, and we know who we are: Father and children.

17 And we know we are going to get what’s coming to us — an unbelievable inheritance! We go through exactly what Christ goes through. If we go through the hard times with him, then we’re certainly going to go through the good times with him!   MSG

RO 8:20-21 For against its will the universe itself has had to endure the empty futilityresulting from the consequences of human sin. But now, with eager expectation,

21 all creation longs for freedom from its slavery to decay and to experience with us the wonderful freedom coming to God’s children.  TPT

COL 1:27 Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone to know it! TPT

13 but we’ll hardly notice. We’ll be looking the other way, ready for the promised new heavens and the promised new earth, all landscaped with righteousness. MSG

HEB 11:1 Persuasion confirms confident expectation and proves the unseen world to be more real than the seen. Faith celebrates as certain what hope visualizes as future.  MIRROR

HEB 11:23 By faith the parents of Moses did not fear the king’s decree, but hid him from Pharaoh for three months, because they saw a future in the child.  MIRROR

HEB 12:1 So now the stage is set for us: all these faith-heroes cheer us on; they are the cloud of witnesses; as it were, like a great multitude of spectators in the amphitheater. This is our moment. As with an athlete who is determined to win, it would be silly to carry any baggage of the old law-system that would weigh one down. Make sure you do not get your feet clogged up with sin-consciousness. Become absolutely streamlined in faith. Run the race of your spiritual life with total persuasion.  MIRROR

HEB 12:2  We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectationonto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God! TPT

Heb 10:35  So don’t throw it all away now. You were sure of yourselves then. It’s still a sure thing!

36 But you need to stick it out, staying with God’s plan so you’ll be there for the promised completion.

37 It won’t be long now, he’s on the way; he’ll show up most any minute. MSG

Rev 22:20 He Who gives this warning and affirms and testifies to these things says, Yes (it is true). [Surely] I am coming quickly (swiftly, speedily). Amen (so let it be)! Yes, come, Lord Jesus!  AMP
