Winning over trials and temptations 7-9-21 VIDEO SUCESS WALT AND JORDAN

Trials are a test. Temptations are the desire to engage in short term urges that will ultimately threaten your long-term goals or destiny. Temptation come often by looking at scripture in a wrong light.  Victory come by seeing scripture in the right context.

PS 119:61 Even when temptations encircle me with evil,I won’t forget for a moment to follow your commands.62 In the middle of the night I awake to give thanks to you because of all your revelation-light—so right and true! TPT

PS 7:17 They dig a pit for others to fall into, not knowing that they will be the very ones who will fall into it.
16 Every pit-digger who works to trap and harm others will be trapped by his own treachery. Thankful Praise

17 But I will give my thanks to you, Yahweh, for you make everything right in the end.
I will sing my highest praise to the God of the Highest Place!  TPT

PROV 28:10 Those who tempt the lovers of God with an evil schemewill fall into their own traps. But the innocent who resist temptation will experience reward. TPT

HEB 2:18 He suffered and endured every test and temptation, so that he can help us every time we pass through the ordeals of life. TPT

Heb 2:18 For because He Himself [in His humanity] has suffered in being tempted (tested and tried), He is able [immediately] to run to the cry of (assist, relieve) those who are being tempted and tested and tried [and who therefore are being exposed to suffering]. AMP

Heb 4:15 For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.

16 Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]. AMP

HEB 4:15 As High Priest he fully identifies with us in the context of our frail human lives. Having subjected it to close scrutiny, he proved that the human frame was master over sin. His sympathy with us is not to be seen as excusing weaknesses which are the result of a faulty design, but rather as a trophy to mankind.

16 For this reason we can approach the authoritative throne of grace with bold utterance. We are welcome there in his embrace, and are reinforced with immediate effect in times of trouble. MIRROR

LUKE 4:5-8 The devil lifted Jesus high into the sky, and in a flash showed him all the kingdoms and regions of the world.

6–7 The devil then said to Jesus, “All of this, with all its power, authority, and splendor, is mine to give to whomever I wish. Just do one thing, and you will have it all. Simply bow down to worship me, and it will be yours! You will possess everything!”

8 Jesus rebuked him and said, “Satan, get behind me! For it is written in the Scriptures, ‘Only One is worthy of adoration; therefore, worship only the Lord your God and love him supremely.’ ” TPT

LUKE 4:5 He then showed him all the kingdom’s of the inhabited world in a split second.

4:6 And said to him, I will give you the glory and control of all these kingdoms since it was handed over to me and I can do with it whatever I please!

4:7 It’s all yours if you worship me.

4:8 Jesus responded with, “Get out of my face Satan! Scripture says, you shall worship the Lord your God with undivided adoration.” MIRROR

LUKE 4:9-12 Next, the devil took Jesus to Jerusalem, set him on the highest point of the temple, and tempted him, saying, “If you really are the Son of God, jump down in front of all the people.

10–11 For it is written in the Scriptures, ‘God has given his angels instructions to protect you from harm. For angels’ hands will hold you up and keep you from hurting even one foot on a stone.’  TPT

LUK 4:9-12  Then he led him to Jerusalem and brought him to the wing of the temple and challenged him to cast himself down, if he really is the son of God.

10 It is written, he says, that God would command his celestial messengers to protect you from any harm.

11 They would bear you up on their hands and protect you so that you will not even stumble over a stone.

12 Again, Jesus quoted Deuteronomy and said, you shall not put the Lord your God to the test. Testing is not trusting.  MIRROR

JAMES 1:13 Do not say, “I am scrutinized by God” when you feel enticed. He is not in the teasing business; evil offers no attraction to God for God to be tempted by it, neither is he experimenting with your design!

14 Temptation employs lust to lure someone into a trap, one is deceived by the attraction of the bait. Your own private desires can snare you

15 When passion conceives, it becomes the parent of sin. Sin’s mission is to murder you.

16 My dear friends, do not go wandering off into deception.

17 Without exception God’s gifts are only good; it’s perfection cannot be flawed. They come from above; proceeding like light rays from its source, the Father of lights, with whom there is no distortion, or even a shadow of shifting to obstruct, or intercept the light; nor any hint of a hidden agenda.

18 It was according to the Father’s delightful resolve that he birthed us; giving authentic, incarnate expression to the Word.  MIRROR   ▼▼▼

JAMES 1:13-18 When you are tempted don’t ever say, “God is tempting me,” for God is incapable of being tempted by evil and he is never the source of temptation.

14 Instead it is each person’s own desires and thoughts that drag them into evil and lurethem away into darkness.

15 Evil desires give birth to evil actions. And when sin is fully mature it can murder you!

16 So my friends, don’t be fooled by your own desires!

17 Every giftGod freely gives us is good and perfect, streaming down from the Father of lights, who shines from the heavens with no hidden shadow or darknessand is never subject to change.

18 God was delightedto give us birth by the truth of his infallible Wordso that we would fulfill his chosen destiny for us and become the favorite ones out of all his creation! TPT

JAMES 1:19 Consequently my beloved friends, give your immediate attention to the Word that reveals your true origin; do not ponder the contradiction. Rather remain silent, than to quickly give your vote and voice to the emotions that arise in the heat of the moment!   MIRROR

Heb 12:3 Just think of Him Who endured from sinners such grievous opposition and bitter hostility against Himself [reckon up and consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you may not grow weary or exhausted, losing heart and relaxing and fainting in your minds. AMP

2 COR 10:3-4 For although we live in the natural realm, we don’t wage a military campaign employing human weapons, using manipulation to achieve our aims. Instead, our spiritual weapons are energized with divine power to effectively dismantle the defenses behind which people hide.

We can demolish every deceptive fantasythat opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thoughtand insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.  TPT

JAMES 1:2-4 My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties, see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can!

For you know that when your faith is testedit stirs up in you the power of endurance.

And then as your endurance grows even stronger, it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking. TPT

JAMES 1:2 Temptations and contradictions come in different shapes, sizes, and intervals; their intention is always to suck you into their energy field. However, my friends, your joy in who you know you are leads you out triumphantly every time.

3 Here is the secret: joy is not something you have to fake, it is the fruit of what your faith knows to be true about you! You know that the proof of faith results in a persuasion that remains constant in contradiction.

4 steadfastness provides you with a consistent environment, and so patience prevails and proves your perfection; how entirely whole you are and without any shortfall. MIRROR

1 Thess 2:4 But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the glad tidings (the Gospel), so we speak not to please men but to please God, Who tests our hearts [expecting them to be approved]. AMP

1 PET 1:6 May the thought of this cause you to jump for joy, even though lately you’ve had to put up with the grief of many trials

But these only reveal the sterling coreof your faith, which is far more valuable than gold that perishes, for even gold is refined by fire. Your authentic faith will result in even more praise, glory, and honor when Jesus the Anointed One is revealed. TPT  ▼▼▼

1 Peter 1:6 I know how great this makes you feel, even though you have to put up with every kind of aggravation in the meantime.

7 Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it’s your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory. MSG

2 PET 2:9 If the Lord Yahweh rescued Lot, he knows how to continually rescue the godly from their trials and to reserve the ungodly for punishment on the day of judgment. TPT

▼▼▼

2 Peter 2:9 Now if [all these things are true, then be sure] the Lord knows how to rescue the godly out of temptations and trials, and how to keep the ungodly under chastisement until the day of judgment and doom, AMP

PS 34:17 Yet when holy lovers of God cry out to him with all their hearts, the Lord will hear them and come to rescue them from all their troubles. TPT

JN 16:33 And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!”TPT

1 COR 10:13 We all experiencetimes of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you faceso that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously. TPT
