WHAT IS THE GIFT OF FAITH  6-1-23  VIDEO GIFT OF FAITH DAN MOHLER

The gift of faith is a special gift, whereby the believer is given extraordinary confidence in God’s promises, power, and presence so much so they can take heroic stands and believe God with heroic actions. If we are born again, then for sure, we have experience saving faith.  All believers have faith but there is the gift of faith comes upon believers to trust God beyond what they thought possible. To believe in some thing they have never seen before. The woman with the issue of blood she had this gift. We see that virtue comes out of Jesus to heal her. it is best described as mountain, living faith. It’s a living faith. 

Eph 2:8 For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;

9 Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]  AMP

Matt 17:20 He said to them, Because of the littleness of your faith [that is, your lack of firmly relying trust]. For truly I say to you, if you have faith [that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you. AMP

Matt 17:20 “Because you’re not yet taking God seriously,” said Jesus. “The simple truth is that if you had a mere kernel of faith, a poppy seed, say, you would tell this mountain, ‘Move!’ and it would move. There is nothing you wouldn’t be able to tackle.”  MSG

Matt 21:21 But Jesus was matter-of-fact: “Yes — and if you embrace this kingdom life and don’t doubt God, you’ll not only do minor feats like I did to the fig tree, but also triumph over huge obstacles. This mountain, for instance, you’ll tell, ‘Go jump in the lake,’ and it will jump.

22 Absolutely everything, ranging from small to large, as you make it a part of your believing prayer, gets included as you lay hold of God.”  MSG

1 Cor 12:9 To another [wonder-working] faith by the same [Holy] Spirit, to another the extraordinary powers of healing by the one Spirit;  AMP

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].  AMP

Heb 11:6 It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. MSG

Heb 11:7 By faith, Noah built a ship in the middle of dry land. He was warned about something he couldn’t see, and acted on what he was told. The result? His family was saved. His act of faith drew a sharp line between the evil of the unbelieving world and the rightness of the believing world. As a result, Noah became intimate with God. MSG

Hebrews 11:8 Faith motivated Abraham to obey God’s call and leave the familiar to discover the territory he was destined to inherit from God. So he left with only a promise and without even knowing ahead of time where he was going, Abraham stepped out in faith.

9He lived by faith as an immigrant in his promised land as though it belonged to someone else. He journeyed through the land living in tents with Isaac and Jacob who were persuaded that they were also co-heirs of the same promise.  TPT

Heb 11:8 By an act of faith, Abraham said yes to God’s call to travel to an unknown place that would become his home. When he left he had no idea where he was going.

9 By an act of faith he lived in the country promised him, lived as a stranger camping in tents. Isaac and Jacob did the same, living under the same promise. MSG

Hebrews 11:11 Sarah’s faith embraced God’s miracle power to conceive even though she was barren and was past the age of childbearing, for the authority of her faith rested in the One who made the promise, and she tapped into his faithfulness.

12In fact, so many children were subsequently fathered by this aged man of faith—one who was as good as dead, that he now has offspring as innumerable as the sand on the seashore and as the stars in the sky!  TPT

Heb 11:20 By an act of faith, Isaac reached into the future as he blessed Jacob and Esau.   MSG

Hebrews 11:22 Faith inspired Joseph and opened his eyes to see into the future, for as he was dying he prophesied about the exodus of Israel out of Egypt, and gave instructions that his bones were to be taken from Egypt with them.  TPT

Heb 11:29 By an act of faith, Israel walked through the Red Sea on dry ground. The Egyptians tried it and drowned. MSG

Heb 11:30 By faith, the Israelites marched around the walls of Jericho for seven days, and the walls fell flat. MSG

Heb 11:5 By an act of faith, Enoch skipped death completely. “They looked all over and couldn’t find him because God had taken him.” We know on the basis of reliable testimony that before he was taken “he pleased God.”  MSG

LUKE 8:43 Amongst them was a woman who was suffering from an issue of blood for twelve years; she had spent all she owned on physicians, but not one of them could heal her.  

44 She squeezed though the throng of people and touched the hem of Jesus’ garment and was instantly cured!

45 Surprisingly, Jesus immediately wanted to know who it was that touched him. But no one stepped forward; then Peter said to him, how can you ask that? Throngs of people are crowding you and many are obviously touching you!   

46 Jesus answered, “Someone has touched me differently; I felt a surge of power emanating from me.”

47 Then, realizing that she could not remain unnoticed, she approached Jesus, trembling and knelt before him and proceeded to tell everyone her story and that she felt heat going though her body as she touched the hem of his garment and was instantly cured!

48 And he said to her, Daughter, your faith has saved you, continue on your life’s journey in this place of our joint-oneness and peace.    MIRROR

Hebrews 11:32 And what more could I say to convince you? For there is not enough time to tell you of the faith of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets.

33Through faith’s power they conquered kingdoms and established true justice. Their faith fastened onto their promises and pulled them into reality! It was faith that shut the mouth of lions,

34put out the power of raging fire, and caused many to escape certain death by the sword. Although weak, their faith imparted power to make them strong! Faith sparked courage within them and they became mighty warriors in battle, pulling armies from another realm into battle array. TPT

Luke 18:6 Then the Master said, “Do you hear what that judge, corrupt as he is, is saying?

7 So what makes you think God won’t step in and work justice for his chosen people, who continue to cry out for help? Won’t he stick up for them?

8 I assure you, he will. He will not drag his feet. But how much of that kind of persistent faith will the Son of Man find on the earth when he returns?”   MSG

Luke 18:6 Then the Lord said, Listen to what the unjust judge says!

7 And will not [our just] God defend and protect and avenge His elect (His chosen ones), who cry to Him day and night? Will He defer them and delay help on their behalf?

8 I tell you, He will defend and protect and avenge them speedily. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [persistence in] faith on the earth?  AMP

Mark 5:22 Then one of the rulers of the synagogue came up, Jairus by name; and seeing Him, he prostrated himself at His feet

23 And begged Him earnestly, saying, My little daughter is at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, so that she may be healed and live.  AMP▼

Mark 5:35 While He was still speaking, there came some from the ruler’s house, who said [to Jairus], Your daughter has died. Why bother and distress the Teacher any further?

36 Overhearing but ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear; only keep on believing.

37 And He permitted no one to accompany Him except Peter and James and John the brother of James.

38 When they arrived at the house of the ruler of the synagogue, He looked [carefully and with understanding] at [the] tumult and the people weeping and wailing loudly.

39 And when He had gone in, He said to them, Why do you make an uproar and weep? The little girl is not dead but is sleeping.

40 And they laughed and jeered at Him. But He put them all out, and, taking the child’s father and mother and those who were with Him, He went in where the little girl was lying.

41 Gripping her [firmly] by the hand, He said to her, Talitha cumi — which translated is, Little girl, I say to you, arise [from the sleep of death]!

42 And instantly the girl got up and started walking around — for she was twelve years old. And they were utterly astonished and overcome with amazement.  AMP

John 7:38 Believe in me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!” TPT

John 7:38 He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water.   AMP

Rom 5:1 By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us — set us right with him, make us fit for him — we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus.

2 And that’s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand — out in the wide open spaces of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise.  MSG

1 Cor 2:5 So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men (human philosophy), but in the power of God. AMP

1 Cor 2:5 which made it clear that your life of faith is a response to God’s power, not to some fancy mental or emotional footwork by me or anyone else. MSG

1 Cor 16:13 Keep your eyes open, hold tight to your convictions, give it all you’ve got, be resolute, MSG

John 14:12 “I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows me in faith, believing in me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with my Father!  TPT
