LOOKING STRAIGHT AHEAD

LOOKING STRAIGHT AHEAD  8-29-25  VIDEO FORGET THE PAST LOOK

No, looking back to the past. There’s more to see ahead of you. His path his road leads to life.

Prov 4:25 Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions.

26 Watch your step, and the road will stretch out smooth before you.

27 Look neither right nor left; leave evil in the dust.  MSG

Phil 3:13 Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward — to Jesus.

14 I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.

15 So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision — you’ll see it yet!

16 Now that we’re on the right track, let’s stay on it. MSG

PHIL 3:13  I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead.

14 I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.

15 So let all who are fully mature have this same passion, and if anyone is not yet gripped by these desires, God will reveal it to them.

16 And let us all advance together to reach this victory-prize, following one path with one passion. TPT

LUKE 9:59 He said to another person, “Why don’t you accompany me!” The man responded, “I will eventually once I no longer need to take care of my father and after I’ve buried him.”

60 “Your mission is to awaken people out of their spiritual slumber with the good news, not to bury them! There will be enough others to bury the dead.”

61 Another candidate said, “I will first have to manage my responsibilities at home.”

62 Jesus replied, “Once you’ve engaged the oxen and the plough, then your focus on the line of the furrow does not allow any distraction! MIRROR

Rom 12:1 So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life — your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life — and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.

2 Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. MSG

39 But our way is not that of those who draw back to eternal misery (perdition) and are utterly destroyed, but we are of those who believe [who cleave to and trust in and rely on God through Jesus Christ, the Messiah] and by faith preserve the soul. AMP
