GENEROUS-Means a readiness to someone more than expected. A condition of the heart. We are at our best when we are generous- When we give or impart to someone else.: money, time friendship. Generosity keeps your sight clear, filled with light.

Isa 42:21 God intended, out of the goodness of his heart, to be lavish in his revelation. MSG

Isa 55:7 Let the wicked abandon their way of life and the evil their way of thinking. Let them come back to God, who is merciful, come back to our God, who is lavish with forgiveness. MSG

Isa 63:7 I’ll make a list of God’s gracious dealings, all the things God has done that need praising, All the generous bounties of God, his great goodness to the family of Israel — Compassion lavished, love extravagant. MSG

Ps 145:16 Generous to a fault, you lavish your favor on all creatures. MSG

 

Gal 3:5 Answer this question: Does the God who lavishly provides you with his own presence, his Holy Spirit, working things in your lives you could never do for yourselves, does he do these things because of your strenuous moral striving or because you trust him to do them in you? MSG

2 Cor 9:10 This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, MSG

 

James 1:5 If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him. AMP

 

Ps 84:11 All sunshine and sovereign is God, generous in gifts and glory. He doesn’t scrimp with his traveling companions. MSG

2 Cor 8:1 Now, friends, I want to report on the surprising and generous ways in which God is working in the churches in Macedonia province.

Heb 13:16 Make sure you don’t take things for granted and go slack in working for the common good; share what you have with others. God takes particular pleasure in acts of worship — a different kind of “sacrifice” — that take place in kitchen and workplace and on the streets. MSG

Deut 15:4 There must be no poor people among you because God is going to bless you lavishly in this land that God, your God, is giving you as an inheritance, your very own land.

6 Oh yes — God, your God, will bless you just as he promised. You will lend to many nations but won’t borrow from any; you’ll rule over many nations but none will rule over you. MSG

Matt 5:16 Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand — shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven. MSG

8 And when the disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, For what purpose is all this waste?

9 For this perfume might have been sold for a large sum and the money given to the poor.

10 But Jesus, fully aware of this, said to them, Why do you bother the woman? She has done a noble (praiseworthy and beautiful) thing to Me.

11 For you always have the poor among you, but you will not always have Me.

12 In pouring this perfume on My body she has done something to prepare Me for My burial.

13 Truly I tell you, wherever this good news (the Gospel) is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will be told also, in memory of her. AMP

Eph 1:6 He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son. MSG
