Depression is an illness that affects the body the mood, the thoughts. It affects how a person thinks about himself. It’s a loss of interest in things that you once were interested in. Jesus felt our sorrow and overcame our sorrow and our terror.

Prov 15:13  A cheerful heart puts a smile on your face, but a broken heart leads to depression. TPT

Phil 3:13 I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,

14 I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.   AMP

▼▼▼

Phil 3:13 Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward — to Jesus.

14 I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.   MSG

▼▼▼

Phil 3:13 I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead.

14 I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus. TPT

Prov 13:12  When hope’s dream seems to drag on and on, the delay can be depressing. But when at last your dream comes true, life’s sweetness will satisfy your soul. TPT

Heb 10:35 Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward.

36 For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.

37 For still a little while (a very little while), and the Coming One will come and He will not delay.

38 But the just shall live by faith [My righteous servant shall live by his conviction respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, and holy fervor born of faith and conjoined with it]; and if he draws back and shrinks in fear, My soul has no delight or pleasure in him.

39 But our way is not that of those who draw back to eternal misery (perdition) and are utterly destroyed, but we are of those who believe [who cleave to and trust in and rely on God through Jesus Christ, the Messiah] and by faith preserve the soul. AMP

▼▼▼

Heb 10:35 So don’t throw it all away now. You were sure of yourselves then. It’s still a sure thing!

36 But you need to stick it out, staying with God’s plan so you’ll be there for the promised completion.

37 It won’t be long now, he’s on the way; he’ll show up most any minute.

38 But anyone who is right with me thrives on loyal trust; if he cuts and runs, I won’t be very happy.

39 But we’re not quitters who lose out. Oh, no! We’ll stay with it and survive, trusting all the way. MSG

▼▼▼

Heb 10:35  So don’t lose your bold, courageous faith, for you are destined for a great reward!

36 You need the strength of endurance to reveal the poetry of God’s will and then you receive the promise in full.

37 For soon and very soon,“The One who is appearing will come without delay!”

38 And he also says, “My righteous ones will live from my faith. But if fear holds them back, my soul is not content with them!”

39 But we are certainly not those who are held back by fear and perish; we are among those who have faith and experience true life! TPT

Rom 13:12 The night is about over, dawn is about to break. Be up and awake to what God is doing! God is putting the finishing touches on the salvation work he began when we first believed. MSG

▼▼▼

Rom 13:12 Night’s darkness is dissolving away as a new day of destiny dawns. So we must once and for all strip away what is done in the shadows of darkness, removing it like filthy clothes. And once and for all we clothe ourselves with the radiance of light as our weapon. TPT

Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. AMP

Rom 5:3 Our blissful boasting in him remains uninterrupted in times of trouble; we know that pressure reveals patience. Tribulation does not have what it takes to nullify what hope knows we have!

4 patience’s provides proof of every positive expectation.

5 this kind of hope does not disappoint; the gift of the Holy Spirit completes our every expectation and ignites the love of God within us like an artesian well. Mirror

Rom 5:5 In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary — we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit! MSG ▼▼▼

Rom 5:5  And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us! TPT

2 Cor 4:7 However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.

8 We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair;

9 We are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed;

AMP ▼▼▼

2 Cor 4:7 If you only look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives. That’s to prevent anyone from confusing God’s incomparable power with us.

8 As it is, there’s not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we’re not much to look at. We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we’re not demoralized; we’re not sure what to do,

9 but we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side; we’ve been thrown down, but we haven’t broken. MSG ▼▼▼

2 Cor 4:7 We are like common clay jars that carry this glorious treasure within, so that the extraordinary overflow of power will be seen as God’s, not ours.

Though we experience every kind of pressure, we’re not crushed. At times we don’t know what to do, but quitting is not an option.

We are persecuted by others, but God has not forsaken us. We may be knocked down, but not out. TPT

Rom  8:37 on the contrary, in the thick of these things our triumph remains beyond dispute. His love has placed above the reach of any onslaught. Mirror

▼▼▼

Rom 8:37  Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything! TPT

Ps 71:14 No matter what, I’ll trust in you to help me. Nothing will stop me from praising you to magnify your glory! TPT

Zech 9:12 Come home, hope-filled prisoners! This very day I’m declaring a double bonus — everything you lost returned twice-over! MSG

Ps 27:4 Here’s the one thing I crave from God, the one thing I seek above all else: I want the privilege of living with him every moment in his house, finding the sweet loveliness of his face, filled with awe, delighting in his glory and grace. I want to live my life so close to him that he takes pleasure in my every prayer. TPT

Rom 15:13  Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope! TPT

Ps 16:11 You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. AMP

▼▼▼

Ps 16:1 Keep me safe, O mighty God. I run for dear life to you, my safe place. TPT

Ps 21:6 For You make him to be blessed and a blessing forever; You make him exceedingly glad with the joy of Your presence. AMP

▼▼▼

Ps 21:6  Your victory heaps blessing after blessing upon him. What joy and bliss he tastes, rejoicing before your face! TPT

Ps 30:11 You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have put off my sackcloth and girded me with gladness,

12 To the end that my tongue and my heart and everything glorious within me may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever. AMP

▼▼▼

Ps 30:11 Then he broke through and transformed all my wailing into a whirling dance of ecstatic praise! He has torn the veil and lifted from me
the sad heaviness of mourning.
He wrapped me in the glory garments of gladness.
12 How could I be silent when it’s time to praise you? Now my heart sings out loud, bursting with joy—a bliss inside that keeps me singing, “I can never thank you enough!” TPT

Ps 31:19 Lord, how wonderful you are! You have stored up so many good things for us, like a treasure chest heaped up and spilling over with blessings—all for those who honor and worship you! Everybody knows what you can do for those who turn and hide themselves in you.
20 So hide all your beloved ones in the sheltered, secret place before your face.
Overshadow them by your glory-presence. Keep them from these accusations, the brutal insults of evil men. Tuck them safely away in the tabernacle where you dwell.
21 The name of the Lord is blessed and lifted high! For his marvelous miracle of mercy protected me when I was overwhelmed by my enemies.
22 I spoke hastily when I said, “The Lord has deserted me.” For in truth, you did hear my prayer and came to rescue me.
23 Listen to me, all you godly ones: Love the Lord with passion! The Lord protects and preserves all those who are loyal to him. But he pays back in full all those who reject him in their pride.
24 So cheer up! Take courage all you who love him. Wait for him to break through for you, all who trust in him! TPT

Prov 10:22 The blessing of the Lord — it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it]. AMP

Isa 53:3 He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows and pains, and acquainted with grief and sickness; and like One from Whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or have any esteem for Him.

4 Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy].

5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole. AMP

Ps 118:15 Hear the shouts, hear the triumph songs in the camp of the saved? “The hand of GOD has turned the tide!

16 The hand of GOD is raised in victory! The hand of GOD has turned the tide!”
