CELEBRATING THE NEW YEAR (FEAST OF ROSH HASHANAH) 9-13-15

VIDEO CELEBRATE ROSH HASHANAH 2

LET’S BLESS ONE ANOTHER

Gal 3:22 But the Scriptures [picture all mankind as sinners] shut up and imprisoned by sin, so that [the inheritance, blessing] which was promised through faith in Jesus Christ (the Messiah) might be given (released, delivered, and committed) to [all] those who believe [who adhere to and trust in and rely on Him]. AMP

Gal 3:21-22 If such is the case, is the law, then, an anti-promise, a negation of God’s will for us? Not at all. Its purpose was to make obvious to everyone that we are, in ourselves, out of right relationship with God, and therefore to show us the futility of devising some religious system for getting by our own efforts what we can only get by waiting in faith for God to complete his promise. For if any kind of rule-keeping had power to create life in us, we would certainly have gotten it by this time. MSG

Ps 18:20 God made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before him. When I got my act together, he gave me a fresh start.

21 Now I’m alert to God’s ways; I don’t take God for granted.

22 Every day I review the ways he works; I try not to miss a trick.

23 I feel put back together, and I’m watching my step.

24 God rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.

Job 3:4 Let it be a black hole in space. May God above forget it ever happened. Erase it from the books ! MSG

Ps 19:13 Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh! Keep me from stupid sins, from thinking I can take over your work; Then I can start this day sun-washed, scrubbed clean of the grime of sin. MSG

Ezek 33:14 “‘On the other hand, if I tell a wicked person, “You’ll die for your wicked life,” and he repents of his sin and starts living a righteous and just life

15 — being generous to the down-and-out, restoring what he had stolen, cultivating life-nourishing ways that don’t hurt others — he’ll live. He won’t die.

16 None of his sins will be kept on the books. He’s doing what’s right, living a good life. He’ll live. MSG

1 Pet 1:4 including a future in heaven — and the future starts now!

5 God is keeping careful watch over us and the future. The Day is coming when you’ll have it all — life healed and whole.

Deut 1:11 May the Lord, the God of your fathers, make you a thousand times as many as you are and bless you as He has promised you!   AMP   ¯¯¯

Deut 1:11 And may God, the God-of-Your-Fathers, keep it up and multiply you another thousand times, bless you just as he promised. MSG

Deut 15:4 But there will be no poor among you, for the Lord will surely bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you for an inheritance to possess,

5 If only you carefully listen to the voice of the Lord your God, to do watchfully all these commandments which I command you this day.

6 When the Lord your God blesses you as He promised you, then you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you. AMP

¯¯¯

Deut 15:4 There must be no poor people among you because God is going to bless you lavishly in this land that God, your God, is giving you as an inheritance, your very own land.

5 But only if you listen obediently to the Voice of God, your God, diligently observing every commandment that I command you today.

6 Oh yes — God, your God, will bless you just as he promised. You will lend to many nations but won’t borrow from any; you’ll rule over many nations but none will rule over you. MSG

Deut 28:2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you if you heed the voice of the Lord your God.

OVERTAKE- “to pursue, follow,” to attain to” something, “to come into contact” with it: to reach, to take hold upon, to have more than enough

Heb 6:14 He said, “I promise that I’ll bless you with everything I have — bless and bless and bless!”

15 Abraham stuck it out and got everything that had been promised to him.

16 When people make promises, they guarantee them by appeal to some authority above them so that if there is any question that they’ll make good on the promise, the authority will back them up.

17 When God wanted to guarantee his promises, he gave his word, a rock-solid guarantee —

18 God can’t break his word. And because his word cannot change, the promise is likewise unchangeable. We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go. MSG

Gal 3:14 To the end that through [their receiving] Christ Jesus, the blessing [promised] to Abraham might come upon the Gentiles, so that we through faith might [all] receive [the realization of] the promise of the [Holy] Spirit. AMP   ¯¯¯

Gal 3:14 And now, because of that, the air is cleared and we can see that Abraham’s blessing is present and available for non-Jews, too. We are all able to receive God’s life, his Spirit, in and with us by believing — just the way Abraham received it. MSG

John 1:16 For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift.

17 For while the Law was given through Moses, grace (unearned, undeserved favor and spiritual blessing) and truth came through Jesus Christ. AMP

1 Cor 2:12 Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God. AMP

2 Cor 13:14 The amazing grace of the Master, Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit, be with all of you. MSG

Eph 1:3 May blessing (praise, laudation, and eulogy) be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) Who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual (given by the Holy Spirit) blessing in the heavenly realm! AMP

¯¯¯

Eph 1:3 How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. MSG

Gen 12:1 God told Abram: “Leave your country, your family, and your father’s home for a land that I will show you.

2 I’ll make you a great nation and bless you. I’ll make you famous; you’ll be a blessing.

3 I’ll bless those who bless you; those who curse you I’ll curse. All the families of the Earth will be blessed through you.” MSG

Ps 115:12 O God, remember us and bless us, bless the families of Israel and Aaron.

13 And let God bless all who fear God — bless the small, bless the great.

14 Oh, let God enlarge your families — giving growth to you, growth to your children.

15 May you be blessed by God, by God, who made heaven and earth.

16 The heaven of heavens is for God, but he put us in charge of the earth.

17 Dead people can’t praise God — not a word to be heard from those buried in the ground.

18 But we bless God, oh yes — we bless him now, we bless him always!

Hallelujah! MSG

VIDEO PRESIDENT OBAMA OFFERS WISHES FOR ROSH HASHANAH 2

Ps 145:21 My mouth is filled with God’s praise. Let everything living bless him,

bless his holy name from now to eternity! MSG

Rom 12:14 Bless your enemies; no cursing under your breath.

15 Laugh with your happy friends when they’re happy; share tears when they’re down.

16 Get along with each other; don’t be stuck-up. Make friends with nobodies; don’t be the great somebody.

17 Don’t hit back; discover beauty in everyone.

18 If you’ve got it in you, get along with everybody.

19 Don’t insist on getting even; that’s not for you to do. “I’ll do the judging,” says God. “I’ll take care of it.”

20 Our Scriptures tell us that if you see your enemy hungry, go buy that person lunch, or if he’s thirsty, get him a drink. Your generosity will surprise him with goodness.

21 Don’t let evil get the best of you; get the best of evil by doing good. MSG

1 Peter 3:9 That goes for all of you, no exceptions. No retaliation. No sharp-tongued sarcasm. Instead, bless — that’s your job, to bless. You’ll be a blessing and also get a blessing. MSG

Ps 144:15 How blessed the people who have all this! How blessed the people who have God for God! MSG

Ps 21:6 For You make him to be blessed and a blessing forever; You make him exceedingly glad with the joy of Your presence

1 Cor 15:10 But by the grace (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not [found to be] for nothing (fruitless and without effect). In fact, I worked harder than all of them [the apostles], though it was not really I, but the grace (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God which was with me. AMP

2 Cor 8:9 For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied). AMP

POOR-to be a beggar, to be weak, afflicted, to be reduced to want, to be needy,

poverty, the condition of one destitute of riches and abundance:

RICH-I have been made rich, become rich, have gotten riches, to be richly supplied:, is affluent in resources so that he can give the blessings of salvation unto all, absolutely, I became rich,   obtained the physical as well as eternal spiritual possessions: I have gotten riches, To be (or become) wealthy   – be increased with goods, (be made, wax) rich.

2 Cor 9:8 And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]. AMP

Eph 4:29 Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk [ever] come out of your mouth, but only such [speech] as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (God’s favor) to those who hear it.

30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God [do not offend or vex or sadden Him], by Whom you were sealed (marked, branded as God’s own, secured) for the day of redemption (of final deliverance through Christ from evil and the consequences of sin).

31 Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity) and quarreling (brawling, clamor, contention) and slander (evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language) be banished from you, with all malice (spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind).

32 And become useful and helpful and kind to one another, tenderhearted (compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving one another [readily and freely], as God in Christ forgave you. AMP

¯¯¯

Eph 4:29 Watch the way you talk. Let nothing foul or dirty come out of your mouth. Say only what helps, each word a gift.

30 Don’t grieve God. Don’t break his heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and breathing in you, is the most intimate part of your life, making you fit for himself. Don’t take such a gift for granted.

31 Make a clean break with all cutting, backbiting, profane talk.

32 Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you. MSG

Heb 6:14 Saying, Blessing I certainly will bless you and multiplying I will multiply you.   AMP

¯¯¯

Heb 6:14 He said, “I promise that I’ll bless you with everything I have — bless and bless and bless!” MSG

Heb 12:15 Make sure no one gets left out of God’s generosity. Keep a sharp eye out for weeds of bitter discontent. A thistle or two gone to seed can ruin a whole garden in no time.

16 Watch out for the Esau syndrome: trading away God’s lifelong gift in order to satisfy a short-term appetite.

17 You well know how Esau later regretted that impulsive act and wanted God’s blessing — but by then it was too late, tears or no tears. MSG

1 Peter 5:14 Salute one another with a kiss of love [the symbol of mutual affection]. To all of you that are in Christ Jesus (the Messiah), may there be peace (every kind of peace and blessing, especially peace with God, and freedom from fears, agitating passions, and moral conflicts). Amen (so be it).   AMP

2 John 3 Grace (spiritual blessing), mercy, and [soul] peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ (the Messiah), the Father’s Son, in all sincerity (truth) and love. AMP
