MEMORIAL DAY 5-27-18

MEMORIAL 5-27-18 VIDEO MEMORIAL DAY HISTORY

Memorial-Something special to remind us of a person or event. Memorial day is to honor those that gave life or served our country. To remember.

1 Sam 7:12 Then Samuel took a stone and set it between Mizpah and Shen, and he called the name of it Ebenezer [stone of help], saying, Heretofore the Lord has helped us. AMP

Gen 28:16 Jacob woke up from his sleep. He said, “God is in this place — truly. And I didn’t even know it!”

17 He was terrified. He whispered in awe, “Incredible. Wonderful. Holy. This is God’s House. This is the Gate of Heaven.”

18 Jacob was up first thing in the morning. He took the stone he had used for his pillow and stood it up as a memorial pillar and poured oil over it.

19 He christened the place Bethel (God’s House). The name of the town had been Luz until then.

20 Jacob vowed a vow: “If God stands by me and protects me on this journey on which I’m setting out, keeps me in food and clothing,

21 and brings me back in one piece to my father’s house, this God will be my God.

22 This stone that I have set up as a memorial pillar will mark this as a place where God lives. And everything you give me, I’ll return a tenth to you.” MSG

1 Sam 7:10 While Samuel was offering the sacrifice, the Philistines came within range to fight Israel. Just then GOD thundered, a huge thunderclap exploding among the Philistines. They panicked — mass confusion! — and ran helter-skelter from Israel.

11 Israel poured out of Mizpah and gave chase, killing Philistines right and left, to a point just beyond Beth Car.

12 Samuel took a single rock and set it upright between Mizpah and Shen. He named it “Ebenezer” (Rock of Help), saying, “This marks the place where GOD helped us.”

Ps 111:4 His miracles are his memorial — This God of Grace, this God of Love. MSG

▼▼▼

PS 11:4 His unforgettable works of surpassing wonder reveal his grace and tender mercy. TPT

Matt 16:18 And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros — a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra — a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it]. AMP

▼▼▼

Matt 16:18 And now I’m going to tell you who you are, really are. You are Peter, a rock. This is the rock on which I will put together my church, a church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out. MSG ▼▼▼

MATT 16:18  I give you the name Peter, a stone. And this truth of who I am will be the bedrock foundation on which I will build my church—my legislative assembly, and the power of death will not be able to overpower it! TPT

The Greek word for “church” is ekklesia and means “legislative assembly” or “selected ones.” This is not a religious term at all, but a political and governmental term that is used many times in classical Greek for a group of people who have been summoned and gathered together to govern the affairs of a city. For Jesus to use this term means he is giving the keys of governmental authority in his kingdom to the church.

Luke 19:40 He replied, I tell you that if these keep silent, the very stones will cry out.

▼▼▼

Luke 19:40 But he said, “If they kept quiet, the stones would do it for them, shouting praise.”

▼▼▼

LU 19:40 Jesus responded, “Listen to me. If my followers were silenced, the very stones would break forth with praises!” TPT

Ps 92:15 [They are living memorials] to show that the Lord is upright and faithful to His promises; He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. AMP

1 Peter 2:5 [Come] and, like living stones, be yourselves built [into] a spiritual house, for a holy (dedicated, consecrated) priesthood, to offer up [those] spiritual sacrifices [that are] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ. AMP

▼▼▼

1 Peter 2:5 Present yourselves as building stones for the construction of a sanctuary vibrant with life, in which you’ll serve as holy priests offering Christ-approved lives up to God. MSG

▼▼▼

1 PET 2:5 Come and be his “living stones” who are continually being assembled into a sanctuary for God. For now you serve as holy priests, offering up spiritual sacrifices that he readily accepts through Jesus Christ. TPT

1 Peter 2:7 To you who trust him, he’s a Stone to be proud of, but to those who refuse to trust him, The stone the workmen threw out is now the chief foundation stone.

8 For the untrusting it’s. . . a stone to trip over, a boulder blocking the way.

They trip and fall because they refuse to obey, just as predicted.

9 But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you —

10 from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted. MSG

▼▼▼

1PER 2:7 As believers you know his great worth—indeed, his preciousness is imparted to you. But for those who do not believe: The stone that the builders rejected and discarded has now become the cornerstone

They keep stumbling over the message because they refuse to believe it. And this they were destined to do.

But you are God’s chosen treasure[—priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world.

10 For at one time you were not God’s people, but now you are. At one time you knew nothing of God’s mercy, because you hadn’t received it yet, but now you are drenched with it! TPT

Deut 32:4 He is the Rock, His work is perfect, for all His ways are law and justice. A God of faithfulness without breach or deviation, just and right is He. AMP

Ex 28:29 “Aaron will regularly carry the names of the sons of Israel on the Breastpiece of Judgment over his heart as he enters the Sanctuary into the presence of God for remembrance. MSG

John 20:17 Jesus said to her, Do not cling to Me [do not hold Me], for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to My brethren and tell them, I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God. AMP

▼▼▼

JN 20;17 Jesus cautioned her, “Mary, don’t hold on to me now, for I haven’t yet ascended to God, my Father. And he’s not only my Father and God, but now he’s your Father and your God! Now go to my brother and tell them what I’ve told you, that I am ascending to my Father—and your Father, to my God—and your God!” TPT

TEMPLE 1 Cor 3:17 If anyone does hurt to God’s temple or corrupts it [with false doctrines] or destroys it, God will do hurt to him and bring him to the corruption of death and destroy him. For the temple of God is holy (sacred to Him) and that [temple] you [the believing church and its individual believers] are. AMP

▼▼▼

1 Cor 3:17 No one will get by with vandalizing God’s temple, you can be sure of that. God’s temple is sacred — and you, remember, are the temple. MSG

1 Cor 6:19 Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own,

20 You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body. AMP

▼▼▼

1 Cor 6:19 Or didn’t you realize that your body is a sacred place, the place of the Holy Spirit? Don’t you see that you can’t live however you please, squandering what God paid such a high price for? The physical part of you is not some piece of property belonging to the spiritual part of you.

20 God owns the whole works. So let people see God in and through your body.

MSG ▼▼▼

1 COR 6:19 Have you forgotten that your body is now the sacred temple of the Spirit of Holiness, who lives in you? You don’t belong to yourself any longer, for the gift of God, the Holy Spirit, lives inside your sanctuary TPT

Ex 12:12 “I will go through the land of Egypt on this night and strike down every firstborn in the land of Egypt, whether human or animal, and bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am God.

13 The blood will serve as a sign on the houses where you live. When I see the blood I will pass over you — no disaster will touch you when I strike the land of Egypt.

14 “This will be a memorial day for you; you will celebrate it as a festival to God down through the generations, a fixed festival celebration to be observed always.

Josh 4:5 And Joshua said to them, Pass over before the ark of the Lord your God in the midst of the Jordan, and take up every man of you a stone on his shoulder, as is the number of the tribes of the Israelites,

6 That this may be a sign among you when your children ask in time to come, What do these stones mean to you?

7 Then you shall tell them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord; when it passed over the Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off. So these stones shall be to the Israelites a memorial forever.

8 And the Israelites did as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of the Jordan, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, as the Lord told Joshua, and carried them over with them to the place where they lodged and laid them down there.

9 And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of the Jordan in the place where the feet of the priests bearing the ark of the covenant had stood. And they are there to this day. AMP

NAME Isa 56:5 To them I will give in My house and within My walls a memorial and a name better [and more enduring] than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that will not be cut off. AMP

Ps 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. KJV

Ex 3:14 And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM and WHAT I AM, and I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you!

15 God said also to Moses, This shall you say to the Israelites: The Lord, the God of your fathers, of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has sent me to you! This is My name forever, and by this name I am to be remembered to all generations. AMP

Isa 52:6 Therefore My people shall know what My name is and what it means; therefore they shall know in that day that I am He who speaks; behold, I AM! AMP

1 Cor 11:25 Similarly when supper was ended, He took the cup also, saying, This cup is the new covenant [ratified and established] in My blood. Do this, as often as you drink [it], to call Me [affectionately] to remembrance. AMP ▼▼▼

1 Cor 11:25 After supper, he did the same thing with the cup: This cup is my blood, my new covenant with you. Each time you drink this cup, remember me. MSG

▼▼▼

1 COR 11:25 He did the same with the cup of wine after supper and said, “This cup seals the new covenant with my blood. Drink it—and whenever you drink this, do it to remember me.” TPT

My words in your mouth 5-25-18

MY WORDS IN YOUR MOUTH 5-25-18 VIDEO DEEP THOUGHTS

My Words in your mouth. God has put His Words in our mouth to speak They are not timid or matter of fact They change history. The mouth declares what the heart believes. It reveals the true nature of the heart. There is power in the WORD when it is spoken. What God speaks is imprinted on His heart. It is Eternal Forever Just like Him.

Jer 1:9 God reached out, touched my mouth, and said, “Look! I’ve just put my words in your mouth — hand-delivered!

10 See what I’ve done? I’ve given you a job to do among nations and governments — a red-letter day! Your job is to pull up and tear down, take apart and demolish, And then start over, building and planting.” MSG

Rom 10:8 But what does it say? The Word (God’s message in Christ) is near you, on your lips and in your heart; that is, the Word (the message, the basis and object) of faith which we preach

9 Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. AMP

↓↓↓

Rom 10:8 So what exactly was Moses saying? The word that saves is right here, as near as the tongue in your mouth, as close as the heart in your chest.

It’s the word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of our preaching.

9 Say the welcoming word to God — “Jesus is my Master” — embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not “doing” anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That’s salvation.

10 With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between him and me!” MSG

↓↓↓

Ro 10:8  But the faith-righteousness we receive speaks to us in these words of Moses: “God’s living message is very close to you, as close as your own heart beating in your chest and as near as the tongue in your mouth.

And what is God’s “living message”? It is the revelation of faith for salvation, which is the message that we preach. For if you publicly declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will experience salvation.

10 The heart that believes in him receives the gift of the righteousness of God—and then the mouth gives thanks to salvation. TPT

Deut 30:12 It is not [a secret laid up] in heaven, that you should say, Who shall go up for us to heaven and bring it to us, that we may hear and do it?

13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, Who shall go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear and do it?

14 But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your mind and in your heart, so that you can do it.

15 See, I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil. AMP

↓↓↓

Deut 30:12 It’s not on a high mountain — you don’t have to get mountaineers to climb the peak and bring it down to your level and explain it before you can live it.

13 And it’s not across the ocean — you don’t have to send sailors out to get it, bring it back, and then explain it before you can live it.

14 No. The word is right here and now — as near as the tongue in your mouth, as near as the heart in your chest. Just do it!

15 Look at what I’ve done for you today: I’ve placed in front of you Life and Good Death and Evil. MSG

Matt 12:34 “You have minds like a snake pit! How do you suppose what you say is worth anything when you are so foul-minded? It’s your heart, not the dictionary, that gives meaning to your words. MSG

Mt 15:17 Is it hard to understand that whatever you eat enters the stomach only to pass out into the sewer?

18 But what comes out of your mouth reveals the core of your heart. Words can pollute, not food. TPT

Ps 105:8 He is [earnestly] mindful of His covenant and forever it is imprinted on His heart, the word which He commanded and established to a thousand generations, AMP

↓↓↓

PS 105:8 For though a thousand generations may pass away, he is still true to his word. He has kept every promise he made to Abraham and to Isaac. TPT

Isa 40:8 True, the grass withers and the wildflowers fade, but our God’s Word stands firm and forever.” MSG

Heb 4:12 For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. AMP

↓↓↓

Heb 4:12 God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. MSG

Eph 6:17 and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. MSG ↓↓↓

EPH 6:17 Embrace the power of salvation’s full deliverance, like a helmet to protect your thoughts from lies. And take the mighty razor-sharp Spirit-sword of the spoken Word of God. TPT

Phil 1:14 And [also] most of the brethren have derived fresh confidence in the Lord because of my chains and are much more bold to speak and publish fearlessly the Word of God [acting with more freedom and indifference to the consequences]. AMP

PS 45:1 My heart is on fire, boiling over with passion. Bubbling up within me are these beautiful lyrics as a lovely poem to be sung for the King. Like a river bursting its banks, I’m overflowing with words, spilling out into this sacred story. TPT

Isa 51:16 I teach you how to talk, word by word, and personally watch over you, Even while I’m unfurling the skies, setting earth on solid foundations, and greeting Zion: ‘Welcome, my people!'” MSG

Jer 1:12 And God said, “Good eyes! I’m sticking with you.I’ll make every word I give you come true.” MSG

John 6:63 The Spirit can make life. Sheer muscle and willpower don’t make anything happen. Every word I’ve spoken to you is a Spirit-word, and so it is life-making. MSG

↓↓↓

Jn 6:63 The Holy Spirit is the one who gives life, that which is of the natural realm is of no help. The words I speak to you are Spirit and life. But there are still some of you who won’t believe. TPT

John 8:18 And that is what you have: You have my word and you have the word of the Father who sent me.” MSG

↓↓↓

Jn 8:18 Then what I say about who I am is true, for I am not alone in my testimony—my Father is the other witness, and we testify together of the truth. TPT

John 12:48 I came to save the world. But you need to know that whoever puts me off, refusing to take in what I’m saying, is willfully choosing rejection. The Word, the Word-made-flesh that I have spoken and that I am, that Word and no other is the last word. MSG

John 14:10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you aren’t mere words. I don’t just make them up on my own. The Father who resides in me crafts each word into a divine act. MSG

↓↓↓

Jn 14:10 Don’t you believe that the Father is living in me and that I am living in the Father? Even my words are not my own but come from my Father, for he lives in me and performs his miracles of power through me. TPT

Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they continued to speak the Word of God with freedom and boldness and courage. AMP

↓↓↓

Acts 4:31 While they were praying, the place where they were meeting trembled and shook. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak God’s Word with fearless confidence. MSG

↓↓↓

Acts 4:31 At that moment the earth shook beneath them, causing the building they were in to tremble. Each one of them was filled with the Holy Spirit, and they proclaimed the word of God with unrestrained boldness. TPT

Acts 6:7 The Word of God prospered. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased dramatically. Not least, a great many priests submitted themselves to the faith. MSG

↓↓↓

Acts 6:7 God’s word reigned supreme[ and kept spreading. The number of Jesus’ followers in Jerusalem quickly grew and increased by the day. Even a great number of Jewish priests became believers and were obedient to the faith! TPT

Acts 12:24 Meanwhile, the ministry of God’s Word grew by leaps and bounds. MSG

Rom 10:17 The point is, Before you trust, you have to listen. But unless Christ’s Word is preached, there’s nothing to listen to. MSG

↓↓↓

RO 10:17 Faith, then, is birthed in a heart that responds to God’s anointed utterance of the Anointed One. TPT

2 Cor 2:17 No — but at least we don’t take God’s Word, water it down, and then take it to the streets to sell it cheap. We stand in Christ’s presence when we speak; God looks us in the face. We get what we say straight from God and say it as honestly as we can. MSG

2 Cor 4:2 We refuse to wear masks and play games. We don’t maneuver and manipulate behind the scenes. And we don’t twist God’s Word to suit ourselves. Rather, we keep everything we do and say out in the open, the whole truth on display, so that those who want to can see and judge for themselves in the presence of God. MSG

Col 3:16 Let the Word of Christ — the Message — have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! MSG

1 John 1:2 The Word of Life appeared right before our eyes; we saw it happen! And now we’re telling you in most sober prose that what we witnessed was, incredibly, this: The infinite Life of God himself took shape before us.

3 We saw it, we heard it, and now we’re telling you so you can experience it along with us, this experience of communion with the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ.

4 Our motive for writing is simply this: We want you to enjoy this, too. Your joy will double our joy! MSG

2 Tim 4:2 so proclaim the Message with intensity; keep on your watch. Challenge, warn, and urge your people. Don’t ever quit. Just keep it simple. MSG

FORGIVENESS 5-20-18

FORGIVENESS 5-20-18 VIDEO FORGIVE YOURSELF

Ps 25:18 Behold my affliction and my pain and forgive all my sins [of thinking and doing]. AMP

Luke 1:77 To bring and give the knowledge of salvation to His people in the forgiveness and remission of their sins.

78 Because of and through the heart of tender mercy and loving-kindness of our God, a Light from on high will dawn upon us and visit [us]

79 To shine upon and give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to direct and guide our feet in a straight line into the way of peace. AMP

Ps 32:1 BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, to be envied) is he who has forgiveness of his transgression continually exercised upon him, whose sin is covered.

2 Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man to whom the Lord imputes no iniquity and in whose spirit there is no deceit. AMP

↓↓↓

Ps 32:1 How happy and fulfilled are those whose rebellion has been forgiven, those whose sins are covered by blood.
How blessed and relieved are those who have confessed their corruption to God! For he wipes their slates clean and removes hypocrisy from their hearts. TPT

Ro 4:5 But no one earns God’s righteousness. It can only be transferred when we no longer rely on our own works, but believe in the one who powerfully declares the ungodly to be righteous in his eyes. It is faith that transfers God’s righteousness into your account!

Even King David himself speaks to us regarding the complete wholeness that comes inside a person when God’s powerful declaration of righteousness is heard over our life. Apart from our works, God’s work is enough.

Here’s what David says: What happy fulfillment is ahead for those whose rebellion has been forgiven and whose sins are covered by blood.
What happy progress comes to them when they hear the Lord speak over them,  “I will never hold your sins against you!” TPT

The Hebrew word for “forgiven” means “lifted off.” Sin’s guilt is a burden that must be lifted off our souls.

Rom 5:20 But then Law came in, [only] to expand and increase the trespass [making it more apparent and exciting opposition]. But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God’s unmerited favor) has surpassed it and increased the more and superabounded, AMP

↓↓↓

Rom 5:20 All that passing laws against sin did was produce more lawbreakers. But sin didn’t, and doesn’t, have a chance in competition with the aggressive forgiveness we call grace. When it’s sin versus grace, grace wins hands down. MSG

Ps 130:4 As it turns out, forgiveness is your habit, and that’s why you’re worshiped. MSG

Matt 26:28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which [ratifies the agreement and] is being poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. AMP ↓↓↓

Matthew 26:28 For this is the blood that seals the new covenant. It will be poured out for many for the complete forgiveness of sins. TPT

Lev 5:10 And he shall prepare the second bird for a burnt offering, according to the ordinance; and the priest shall make atonement for him for his sin which he has committed, and he shall be forgiven. AMP

Heb 10:18 Now where there is absolute remission (forgiveness and cancellation of the penalty) of these [sins and lawbreaking], there is no longer any offering made to atone for sin. AMP

↓↓↓

Heb 10:18 Once sins are taken care of for good, there’s no longer any need to offer sacrifices for them. MSG

↓↓↓

Heb 10:18 So if our sins have been forgiven and forgotten, why would we ever need to offer another sacrifice for sin? TPT

Rom 3:24 [All] are justified and made upright and in right standing with God, freely and gratuitously by His grace (His unmerited favor and mercy), through the redemption which is [provided] in Christ Jesus,

25 Whom God put forward [before the eyes of all] as a mercy seat and propitiation by His blood [the cleansing and life-giving sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation, to be received] through faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in His divine forbearance He had passed over and ignored former sins without punishment. AMP

Eph 1:7 In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor, AMP

↓↓↓

Eph 1:7 Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we’re a free people — free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free! MSG

↓↓↓

Eph 1:7 Since we are now joined to Christ, we have been given the treasures of redemption by his blood—the total cancellation of our sins—all because of the cascading riches of his grace. TPT

Col 1:14 In Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins. AMP

↓↓↓

Col 1:14 the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating. MSG

Ro 4:17 Death once held us in its grip, and by the blunder of one man, death reigned as king over humanity. But now, how much more are we held in the grip of grace and continue reigning as kings in life, enjoying our regal freedom through the gift of perfect righteousness in the one and only Jesus, the Messiah!

18 In other words, just as condemnation came upon all people through one transgression, so through one righteous act of Jesus’ sacrifice, the perfect righteousness that makes us right with God and leads us to a victorious life is now available to all.

19 One man’s disobedience opened the door for all humanity to become sinners. So also one man’s obedience opened the door for many to be made perfectly right with God and acceptable to him.

20 So then, the law was introduced into God’s plan to bring the reality of human sinfulness out of hiding. And yet, wherever sin increased, there was more than enough of God’s grace to triumph all the more! TPT

Paul speaks of God’s grace in v. 17 as superabundant, but then adds the prefix, huper (“hyper”), making grace which could be translated super-hyperabundant grace! There is an endless fountain of grace that has been opened for us in Christ!

2 Cor 5:19 God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing. MSG

↓↓↓

2 Cor 5:19 In other words, it was through the Anointed One that God was shepherding the world, not even keeping records of their transgressions, and he has entrusted to us the ministry of opening the door of reconciliation to God TPT

Jonah 4:1 Jonah was furious. He lost his temper.

2 He yelled at God, “God! I knew it — when I was back home, I knew this was going to happen! That’s why I ran off to Tarshish! I knew you were sheer grace and mercy, not easily angered, rich in love, and ready at the drop of a hat to turn your plans of punishment into a program of forgiveness! MSG

Heb 8:11 They won’t go to school to learn about me, or buy a book called God in Five Easy Lessons. They’ll all get to know me firsthand, the little and the big, the small and the great.

12 They’ll get to know me by being kindly forgiven, with the slate of their sins forever wiped clean. MSG

Ex 10:17 Now therefore forgive my sin, I pray you, only this once, and entreat the Lord your God only that He may remove from me this [plague of] death. AMP ↓

Col 2:13 This “realm of death” describes our former state, for we were held in sin’s grasp. But now, we’ve been resurrected out of that “realm of death” never to return, for we are forever alive and forgiven of all our sins! TPT

James 5:15 Believing-prayer will heal you, and Jesus will put you on your feet. And if you’ve sinned, you’ll be forgiven — healed inside and out. MSG

Luke 7:37 Just then a woman of the village, the town harlot, having learned that Jesus was a guest in the home of the Pharisee, came with a bottle of very expensive perfume

38 and stood at his feet, weeping, raining tears on his feet. Letting down her hair, she dried his feet, kissed them, and anointed them with the perfume. MSG

Luke 7:44 Then turning to the woman, but speaking to Simon, he said, “Do you see this woman? I came to your home; you provided no water for my feet, but she rained tears on my feet and dried them with her hair.

45 You gave me no greeting, but from the time I arrived she hasn’t quit kissing my feet.

46 You provided nothing for freshening up, but she has soothed my feet with perfume.

47 Impressive, isn’t it? She was forgiven many, many sins, and so she is very, very grateful. If the forgiveness is minimal, the gratitude is minimal.”

48 Then he spoke to her: “I forgive your sins.”

49 That set the dinner guests talking behind his back: “Who does he think he is, forgiving sins!”

Matt 9:2 And behold, they brought to Him a man paralyzed and prostrated by illness, lying on a sleeping pad; and when Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralyzed man, Take courage, son; your sins are forgiven and the penalty remitted.

3 And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, This man blasphemes [He claims the rights and prerogatives of God]!

4 But Jesus, knowing (seeing) their thoughts, said, Why do you think evil and harbor malice in your hearts?

5 For which is easier: to say, Your sins are forgiven and the penalty remitted, or to say, Get up and walk?

6 But in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins and remit the penalty, He then said to the paralyzed man, Get up! Pick up your sleeping pad and go to your own house.

7 And he got up and went away to his own house. AMP

13 And lead (bring) us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

14 For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

15 But if you do not forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses. AMP

John 20:21 Then Jesus said to them again, Peace to you! [Just] as the Father has sent Me forth, so I am sending you.

22 And having said this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit!

23 [Now having received the Holy Spirit, and being led and directed by Him] if you forgive the sins of anyone, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of anyone, they are retained. AMP

If you forgive someone for their sins, their sins will be discharged, but if you retain their sins, their sins will be retained.” Jesus was not giving absolute authority to forgive the guilt of sins. If we don’t go and preach the good news, then people will have no opportunity to believe it
