RESURRECTION 4-16-17

Resurrection 4-15-17 VIDEO
Phil 3:10 [For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]
11 That if possible I may attain to the [spiritual and moral] resurrection [that lifts me] out from among the dead [even while in the body]. AMP
↓↓↓
Phil 3:10 I gave up all that inferior stuff so I could know Christ personally, experience his resurrection power, be a partner in his suffering, and go all the way with him to death itself.
11 If there was any way to get in on the resurrection from the dead, I wanted to do it. MSG
↓↓↓
Phil 3:10 And I continually long to know the wonders of Jesus more fully and to experience the overflowing power of his resurrection working in me. I will one with him in suffering and I will be one with him in his death. Only then will I be able to experience complete oneness with him in his resurrection from the realm of death. Passion

Heb 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was put to the test [while the testing of his faith was still in progress], had already brought Isaac for an offering; he who had gladly received and welcomed [God’s] promises was ready to sacrifice his only son,
18 Of whom it was said, Through Isaac shall your descendants be reckoned.
19 For he reasoned that God was able to raise [him] up even from among the dead. Indeed in the sense that Isaac was figuratively dead [potentially sacrificed], he did [actually] receive him back from the dead. AMP

1 Cor 15:13 If there’s no resurrection, there’s no living Christ.
14 And face it — if there’s no resurrection for Christ, everything we’ve told you is smoke and mirrors, and everything you’ve staked your life on is smoke and mirrors.
15 Not only that, but we would be guilty of telling a string of barefaced lies about God, all these affidavits we passed on to you verifying that God raised up Christ — sheer fabrications, if there’s no resurrection.
16 If corpses can’t be raised, then Christ wasn’t, because he was indeed dead. 17 And if Christ wasn’t raised, then all you’re doing is wandering about in the dark, as lost as ever.
18 It’s even worse for those who died hoping in Christ and resurrection, because they’re already in their graves.
19 If all we get out of Christ is a little inspiration for a few short years, we’re a pretty sorry lot.
20 But the truth is that Christ has been raised up, the first in a long legacy of those who are going to leave the cemeteries.
21 There is a nice symmetry in this: Death initially came by a man, and resurrection from death came by a man.
22 Everybody dies in Adam; everybody comes alive in Christ. MSG

1 Cor 15:30 And why do you think I keep risking my neck in this dangerous work?
31 I look death in the face practically every day I live. Do you think I’d do this if I wasn’t convinced of your resurrection and mine as guaranteed by the resurrected Messiah Jesus?
32 Do you think I was just trying to act heroic when I fought the wild beasts at Ephesus, hoping it wouldn’t be the end of me? Not on your life! It’s resurrection, resurrection, always resurrection, that undergirds what I do and say, the way I live. If there’s no resurrection, “We eat, we drink, the next day we die,” and that’s all there is to it.
33 But don’t fool yourselves. Don’t let yourselves be poisoned by this anti-resurrection loose talk. “Bad company ruins good manners.” MSG

Matt 22:31 But as to the resurrection of the dead — have you never read what was said to you by God,
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead but of the living! AMP
↓↓↓
Matt 22:30 At the resurrection we’re beyond marriage. As with the angels, all our ecstasies and intimacies then will be with God.
31 And regarding your speculation on whether the dead are raised or not, don’t you read your Bibles? The grammar is clear: God says,
32 ‘I am — not was — the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob.’ The living God defines himself not as the God of dead men, but of the living.” MSG

Rom 5:10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more [certain], now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin’s dominion) through His [resurrection] life. AMP

Rom 5:10 If, when we were at our worst, we were put on friendly terms with God by the sacrificial death of his Son, now that we’re at our best, just think of how our lives will expand and deepen by means of his resurrection life! MSG
↓↓↓
Rom 5:10 So if while we were still enemies, God fully reconciled us to himself through the death of his son, then something greater than friendship is ours. Now that we are at peace with God, and because we share in his resurrection life, how much more we will rescued from sin’s dominion! Passion

Rom 5:12 When Adam sinned, the entire world was affected. Sin entered human experience, and death was the result. And so death followed this sin, casting its shadow over all humanity, because all have sinned.
13 Sin was in the world before Moses gave the written law. but it was not charged against them where no law existed.
14 Yet death reigned as king from Adam to Moses even though they hadn’t broken a command the way Adam had. The first man, Adam, was a picture of the Messiah, who was to come.
15 Now there is no comparison between Adam’s transgression and the gracious gift that we experience. For the magnitude of the gift far outweighs the crime. It’s true that many died because of one man’s transgression. but how much greater will God’s grace and his gracious gift of acceptance overflow to many because of one Man, Jesus the Messiah, did for us!
16 And this free-flowing gift imparts to us much more than what was given to us through the one who sinned. For by one transgression, we are facing a death sentence with a verdict of, “Guilty!” But this gracious gift leaves us free from our many failures and brings us into the perfect righteousness of God-acquitted with the words “Not Guilty!”
17 Death once held us in its grip. and by the blunder of the one man, death reigned as king over humanity. But now, how much more are we held in the grip of grace and continue reigning as kings in life, enjoying our regal freedom through the gift of perfect righteousness in the one and only Jesus the Messiah! Passion

Phil 2:9 Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name,

55 Who got the last word, oh, Death? Oh, Death, who’s afraid of you now?

57 But now in a single victorious stroke of Life, all three — sin, guilt, death — are gone, the gift of our Master, Jesus Christ. Thank God!
58 With all this going for us, my dear, dear friends, stand your ground. And don’t hold back. Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort. MSG

Isa 53:12 Therefore I’ll reward him extravagantly — the best of everything, the highest honors — Because he looked death in the face and didn’t flinch, because he embraced the company of the lowest. He took on his own shoulders the sin of the many, he took up the cause of all the black sheep. MSG

Rev 12:11 And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing]. AMP

Rev 12:11 They defeated him through the blood of the Lamb and the bold word of their witness. They weren’t in love with themselves; they were willing to die for Christ. MSG

INCLUDED Eph 2:13 Now because of Christ — dying that death, shedding that blood — you who were once out of it altogether are in on everything.

Titus 2:14 He offered himself as a sacrifice to free us from a dark, rebellious life into this good, pure life, making us a people he can be proud of, energetic in goodness. MSG

1 John 1:7 But if we [really] are living and walking in the Light, as He [Himself] is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt [keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations]. Heb 9:14 think how much more the blood of Christ cleans up our whole lives, inside and out. MSG

Heb 9:14 Yet how much more will the sacred blood of the Messiah thoroughly cleanse our consciences! For by the power of the eternal Spirit he has offered himself to God as the perfect Sacrifice that now frees us from our dead works to worship and serve the living God. Passion

Heb 10:11 Every priest goes to work at the altar each day, offers the same old sacrifices year in, year out, and never makes a dent in the sin problem.
12 As a priest, Christ made a single sacrifice for sins, and that was it! Then he sat down right beside God
13 and waited for his enemies to cave in.
14 It was a perfect sacrifice by a perfect person to perfect some very imperfect people. By that single offering, he did everything that needed to be done for everyone who takes part in the purifying process. MSG

Heb 10:19 Therefore, brethren, since we have full freedom and confidence to enter into the [Holy of] Holies [by the power and virtue] in the blood of Jesus,
20 By this fresh (new) and living way which He initiated and dedicated and opened for us through the separating curtain (veil of the Holy of Holies), that is, through His flesh,
21 And since we have [such] a great and wonderful and noble Priest [Who rules] over the house of God, AMP

Heb 10:19 So, friends, we can now — without hesitation — walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is his body. MSG

Heb 9: 26 For then would He often have had to suffer [over and over again] since the foundation of the world. Gal 2:20 My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives: for the nails of his cross crucified with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me–we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, and dispenses his life into mine! Passion

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ [the Messiah Himself] died for sins once for all, the Righteous for the unrighteous (the Just for the unjust, the Innocent for the guilty), that He might bring us to God. In His human body He was put to death, but He was made alive in the spirit, AMP

Eph 1:7 Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we’re a free people — free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free! MSG

1 Peter 1:17 You call out to God for help and he helps — he’s a good Father that way. But don’t forget, he’s also a responsible Father, and won’t let you get by with sloppy living. Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God.
18 It cost God plenty to get you out of that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in.
19 He paid with Christ’s sacred blood, you know. He died like an unblemished, sacrificial lamb.
20 And this was no afterthought. Even though it has only lately — at the end of the ages — become public knowledge, God always knew he was going to do this for you.
21 It’s because of this sacrificed Messiah, whom God then raised from the dead and glorified, that you trust God, that you know you have a future in God. MSG

Rom 5:9 Now that we are set right with God by means of this sacrificial death, the consummate blood sacrifice, there is no longer a question of being at odds with God in any way. MSG

Rev 1:5 and from Jesus Christ, the witness, the trustworthy one, the first to come back to life, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. Glory and power forever and ever belong to the one who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood

1 Cor 11:26 What you must solemnly realize is that every time you eat this bread and every time you drink this cup, you reenact in your words and actions the death of the Master. You will be drawn back to this meal again and again until the Master returns. You must never let familiarity breed contempt.
27 Anyone who eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Master irreverently is like part of the crowd that jeered and spit on him at his death. Is that the kind of “remembrance” you want to be part of?
28 Examine your motives, test your heart, come to this meal in holy awe.
29 If you give no thought (or worse, don’t care) about the broken body of the Master when you eat and drink, you’re running the risk of serious consequences.
30 That’s why so many of you even now are listless and sick, and others have gone to an early grave. MSG

1 Cor 10:16 When we drink the cup of blessing, aren’t we taking into ourselves the blood, the very life, of Christ? And isn’t it the same with the loaf of bread we break and eat? Don’t we take into ourselves the body, the very life, of Christ? MSG

John 6:53 And Jesus said to them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you cannot have any life in you unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood [unless you appropriate His life and the saving merit of His blood].
54 He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood has (possesses now) eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day.
55 For My flesh is true and genuine food, and My blood is true and genuine drink.

55 My flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.
56 By eating my flesh and drinking my blood you enter into me and I into you.
57 In the same way that the fully alive Father sent me here and I live because of him, so the one who makes a meal of me lives because of me.

1 Cor 11:23 Let me go over with you again exactly what goes on in the Lord’s Supper and why it is so centrally important. I received my instructions from the Master himself and passed them on to you. The Master, Jesus, on the night of his betrayal, took bread.
24 Having given thanks, he broke it and said, This is my body, broken for you. Do this to remember me.
25 After supper, he did the same thing with the cup: This cup is my blood, my new covenant with you. Each time you drink this cup, remember me. MSG
