DON’T WORRY–BE HAPPY 7-7-19

It is been a while since many of you have smile, or laughed. Today I encouraged you to stop this cycle of worry, meditation on the worst case scenario, and receive my joy.

Worry-distress, anxiety it is a form of torment.

Proverbs 17:22 A joyful, cheerful heart brings healing to both body and soul.
But the one whose heart is crushed struggles with sickness and depression. TPT

Phil 4:6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.

7 And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:6 Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.

7 Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. MSG

Philippians 4:6  Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life,

⁷ then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ. TPT

1 Peter 5:7 Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. AMP

Prov 12:25 Worry weighs us down: a cheerful word picks us up.

26 A good person survives misfortune, but a wicked life invites disaster. MSG

Proverbs 12:25  Anxious fear brings depression, but a life-giving word of encouragement can do wonders to restore joy to the heart. TPT

Isa 44:8 Don’t be afraid, and don’t worry: Haven’t I always kept you informed, told you what was going on? You’re my eyewitnesses: Have you ever come across a God, a real God, other than me? There’s no Rock like me that I know of.” MSG

Isa 55:17 but no weapon that can hurt you has ever been forged. Any accuser who takes you to court will be dismissed as a liar. This is what God’s servants can expect. I’ll see to it that everything works out for the best.”

Matthew 13:22 “The seed sown among weeds represents the person who receives the message, but all of life’s busy distractions, his divided heart, and his ambition for wealth result in suffocating the kingdom message and prevent him from bearing spiritual fruit. TPT

John 14:1 DO NOT let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me. AMP

Matt 6:31 What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving.

32 People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works.

We are to be positioned in the battle. A battle is a sustained fight to pursue a definite decision. Whether you’re fighting in the realm of health, or prosperity, or relationships or against the enemy position is everything. Esther was able to deliver people because she was positioned as queen. In our heroes of faith Moses, Isaiah, Noah, Abraham all fought in a variety of battles and all were positioned to win. God had something better in mind for positioning us as sons. Our battles are won because we are positioned on the throne. Sometimes in battle we take a moment to rest.

1 Tim 6:12 Fight the good fight of the faith; lay hold of the eternal life to which you were summoned and [for which] you confessed the good confession [of faith] before many witnesses. AMP

Jer 1:19 And they shall fight against you, but they shall not [finally] prevail against you, for I am with you, says the Lord, to deliver you. AMP

17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God.

18 Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people). AMP

Eph 6:12 This is no afternoon athletic contest that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.

13 Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet.

14 Truth, righteousness,

15 peace,

16 faith,

17 and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon.

18 In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out. MSG

Ephesians 6:12 Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage.

Matt 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]

Rev 3:21 He who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant him to sit beside Me on My throne, as I Myself overcame (was victorious) and sat down beside My Father on His throne. AMP

Col 3:1 IF THEN you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.   AMP ▼▼▼

Col 3:1 Christ’s resurrection is your resurrection too. This is why we are to yearn for all that is above, for that’s where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honor, and authority! TPT

LEARNING TO TRUST GOD 6-30-19 VIDEO THOUGHTS ON TRUSTING GOD

Jesus while in the wilderness was tempted by the devil, but he learned something that he brought with him as he began a public ministry. Jesus lived  by trusting every word that came from the mouth of God. When he left the wilderness he was fully controlled by the Holy Spirit. Trust means reliance on the integrity, strength, ability and surety of a person or thing. It means confidence (a bold confidence). Trust is not the same as faith which is a gift. Trusting is what we do because of the faith we have been given. Job trusted God. He didn’t understand Him but he trusted and had confidence in Him.

Heb 11:1 The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. MSG

Luke 4:2-3 It was then the devil said to him, “If you are really the Son of God, command this stone to turn into a loaf of bread for you.”

⁴ Jesus replied, “I will not! For it is written in the Scriptures, ‘Life does not come only from eating bread but from God. Life flows from every revelation from his mouth. TPT

Luke 4:14 Then Jesus, armed with the Holy Spirit’s power, returned to Galilee, and his fame spread throughout the region.

¹⁵ He taught in the synagogues and they glorified him.

^16–17 When he came to Nazareth, where he had been raised, he went into the synagogue, as he always did on the Sabbath day. When Jesus came to the front to read the Scriptures, they handed him the scroll of the prophet Isaiah. He unrolled the scroll and read where it is written,

John 5:19 So Jesus answered them by saying, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the Son is able to do nothing of Himself (of His own accord); but He is able to do only what He sees the Father doing, for whatever the Father does is what the Son does in the same way [in His turn].

20 The Father dearly loves the Son and discloses to (shows) Him everything that He Himself does. And He will disclose to Him (let Him see) greater things yet than these, so that you may marvel and be full of wonder and astonishment. AMP

John 5:19 So Jesus said, “I speak to you timeless truth. The Son is not able to do anything from himself or through my own initiative. I only do the works that I see the Father doing, for the Son does the same works as his Father.

Psalm 62:8  Join me, everyone! Trust only in God every moment! Tell him all your troubles and pour out your heart-longings to him. Believe me when I tell you—he will help you! Pause in his presence. TPT

Ps 73:28 But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God and made Him my refuge, that I may tell of all Your works. AMP

Psalm 125:1  Those who trust in the Lord are as unshakeable, as unmovable as mighty Mount Zion!
² Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord’s wrap-around presence surrounds his people, protecting them now and forever. TPT

Ps 143:8 Cause me to hear Your loving-kindness in the morning, for on You do I lean and in You do I trust. Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk, for I lift up my inner self to You. AMP

Prov 16:3 Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed. AMP

Proverbs 16:3  Before you do anything, put your trust totally in God and not in yourself. Then every plan you make will succeed.

Matt 17:20 He said to them, Because of the littleness of your faith [that is, your lack of firmly relying trust]. For truly I say to you, if you have faith [that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you. Matthew 17:20  He told them, “It was because of your lack of faith. I promise you, if you have faith inside of you no bigger than the size of a small mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move away from here and go over there,’ and you will see it move! There is nothing you couldn’t do! TPT

Matt 21:21 And Jesus answered them, Truly I say to you, if you have faith (a firm relying trust) and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, it will be done. AMP

Matthew 21:21  Jesus replied, “Listen to the truth. If you have no doubt of God’s power and speak out of faith’s fullness, you can be the ones who speak to a tree and it will wither away. Even more than that, you could say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and be thrown into the sea’ and it will be done. TPT

¹⁸ So it is impossible for God to lie for we know that his promise and his vow will never change! And now we have run into his heart to hide ourselves in his faithfulness. This is where we find his strength and comfort, for he empowers us to seize what has already been established ahead of time—an unshakeable hope!

¹⁹ We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God himself. Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat which sits in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold,

²⁰ and where Jesus, our forerunner, has gone in before us. He is now and forever our royal Priest like Melchizedek. TPT

Prayer. Every once in a while we want to come back to what prayer really is! It is so important especially in the time in history we are in. There is power in prayer real power. Prayer is connecting with God’s heart to heart without a ritual, without a pattern. It comes from a place of relationship. In the Hebrew prayer is to appeal to God. Note prayer and praise begin with the same first three letters and the fourth letter is I and a Y. It is the same Phonetically identical in the Hebrew as an English prayer is praise and praise is prayer. Jesus begins our father with praise. Forgiveness is important in prayer. Make sure you know that you were in right standing with God!

Luke 6:12 Now in those days it occurred that He went up into a mountain to pray, and spent the whole night in prayer to God. AMP

Luke 11:9  So it is with your prayers. Ask and you’ll receive. Seek and you’ll discover. Knock on heaven’s door, and it will one day open for you. Every persistent person will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he needs. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door.

Luke 18:1  One day Jesus taught the apostles to keep praying and never stop or lose hope. He shared with them this illustration:

² “In a certain town there was a civil judge, a thick-skinned and godless man who had no fear of others’ opinions.

³ And there was a poor widow in that town who kept pleading with the judge, ‘Grant me justice and protect me against my oppressor!’

^4–5 “He ignored her pleas for quite some time, but she kept asking. Eventually he said to himself, ‘This widow keeps annoying me, demanding her rights, and I’m tired of listening to her. Even though I’m not a religious man and don’t care about the opinions of others, I’ll just get her off my back by answering her claims for justice and I’ll rule in her favor. Then she’ll leave me alone.’”

⁶ The Lord continued, “Did you hear what the ungodly judge said—that he would answer her persistent request?

⁷ Don’t you know that God, the true judge, will grant justice to all of his chosen ones who cry out to him night and day? He will pour out his Spirit upon them. He will not delay to answer you and give you what you ask for.

⁸ God will give swift justice to those who don’t give up. So be ever praying, ever expecting, just like the widow was with the judge. Yet when the Son of Man comes back, will he find this kind of persistent faithfulness in his people?” TPT

30 While You stretch out Your hand to cure and to perform signs and wonders through the authority and by the power of the name of Your holy Child and Servant Jesus.

31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they continued to speak the Word of God with freedom and boldness and courage. AMP

Romans 8:26  And in a similar way, the Holy Spirit takes hold of us in our human frailty to empower us in our weakness. For example, at times we don’t even know how to pray, or know the best things to ask for. Honor. To esteem at the highest level. To value someone for the spirit that is in him. Not for what you knew about him from their family or from their past. Many could not receive Jesus because it could not recognize the spirit of God that was upon him. Many people could not honor the spirit. Honor means to esteem or value and we are told to honor. Honor is so important. Just as honoring the Son shows that we honor the Father. We must honor and esteem one another.

Romans 1:21 Throughout human history the fingerprints of God were upon them, yet they refused to honor him as God or even be thankful for his kindness. Instead, they entertained corrupt and foolish thoughts about what God was like.^] This left them with nothing but misguided hearts, steeped in moral darkness.

Troubles, pressures, and problems are unable to come between us and heaven’s love. What about persecutions, deprivations, dangers, and death threats? No, for they are all impotent to hinder omnipotent love,

We are considered to be nothing more than sheep to be slaughtered!

³⁷ Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything

³⁸ So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love.

Reign-see yourselves ruling and reigning with Christ. To reign means kinghood, royal dignity kingdom government. To accede to the throne, to occupy an office. Heirs of the kingdom ruling with Christ in the government of the kingdom. We are royal heirs with Him. We reign with Christ we reign over sin, we reign over sickness we reign over property, we reign over the devil and all of his plans.

Isa 32:1 BEHOLD, A King will reign in righteousness, and princes will rule with justice.

So much anxiety in fear in these days. What is coming? What is the future? Perfect love casts out all fear. It’s possible to be fearless in the face of a storm. When Jesus was in a storm he loved his people. The wind would not overtake them.

Mark 4:39 And He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Hush now! Be still (muzzled)! And the wind ceased (sank to rest as if exhausted by its beating) and there was [immediately] a great calm (a perfect peacefulness).

40 He said to them, Why are you so timid and fearful? How is it that you have no faith (no firmly relying trust)? AMP

No, for they are all impotent to hinder omnipotent love,

We are considered to be nothing morethan sheep to be slaughtered!

³⁸ So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love.

³⁹ There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One! TPT

For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection].
