In this day there is so much deception and lies in the world. The same type of deception is trying to confuse and cause the body of Christ to be distracted and go the wrong way. Deception is the act of disguising some thing as truth something that is false or a lie. It is to give a false impression or appearance. This all started with the deception in the garden. A major trick of the enemy is deception. We find Jesus was tempted by the devil. And the devil tried to lie to him and deceive him but Jesus did not believe him.

Gen 3:1 NOW THE serpent was more subtle and crafty than any living creature of the field which the Lord God had made. And he [Satan] said to the woman, Can it really be that God has said, You shall not eat from every tree of the garden?  

2 And the woman said to the serpent, We may eat the fruit from the trees of the garden,

3 Except the fruit from the tree which is in the middle of the garden. God has said, You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.

4 But the serpent said to the woman, You shall not surely die, 

5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing the difference between good and evil and blessing and calamity.

6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good (suitable, pleasant) for food and that it was delightful to look at, and a tree to be desired in order to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she gave some also to her husband, and he ate.

John 8:44 You are of your father, the devil, and it is your will to practice the lusts and gratify the desires [which are characteristic] of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar [himself] and the father of lies and of all that is false.  AMP   ▼▼▼

John 8:44  You’re from your father, the Devil, and all you want to do is please him. He was a killer from the very start. He couldn’t stand the truth because there wasn’t a shred of truth in him. When the Liar speaks, he makes it up out of his lying nature and fills the world with lies.  MSG

2 Thess 2:9 The coming [of the lawless one, the antichrist] is through the activity and working of Satan and will be attended by great power and with all sorts of [pretended] miracles and signs and delusive marvels — [all of them] lying wonders — 

10 And by unlimited seduction to evil and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing (going to perdition) because they did not welcome the Truth but refused to love it that they might be saved.  AMP  ▼▼▼

2 THESS 2:9-10 The presenceof the “outlaw” is apparent by the activity of Satan, who uses all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs, spurious wonders,

¹⁰ and every form of evil deception in order to deceive those who are perishing because they rejected the love of the truththat would lead them to being saved.  TPT

JAMES 1:22–25 Don’t just listen to the Word of Truth and not respond to it, for that is the essence of self-deception. So always let his Word become like poetry written and fulfilled by your life!

²³ If you listen to the Word and don’t live out the message you hear, you become like the person who looks in the mirror of the Word to discover the reflection of his face in the beginning.

²⁴ You perceive how God sees you in the mirror of the Word, but then you go out and forgetyour divine origin.

²⁵ But those who set their gaze deeply into the perfecting law of libertyare fascinated by and respond to the truth they hear and are strengthened by it—they experience God’s blessing in all that they do!  TPT

1 John 2:21-27 I haven’t been writing this to tell you something you don’t know, but to confirm the truth you do know, and to remind you that the truth doesn’t breed lies.

22 So who is lying here? It’s the person who denies that Jesus is the Divine Christ, that’s who. This is what makes an antichrist: denying the Father, denying the Son.

23 No one who denies the Son has any part with the Father, but affirming the Son is an embrace of the Father as well.

24 Stay with what you heard from the beginning, the original message. Let it sink into your life. If what you heard from the beginning lives deeply in you, you will live deeply in both Son and Father.

25 This is exactly what Christ promised: eternal life, real life!

26 I’ve written to warn you about those who are trying to deceive you.

27 But they’re no match for what is embedded deeply within you — Christ’s anointing, no less! You don’t need any of their so-called teaching. Christ’s anointing teaches you the truth on everything you need to know about yourself and him, uncontaminated by a single lie. Live deeply in what you were taught.   MSG

1 JN 2:21-27 So I’m writing you not because you don’t know the truth, but because you do know it, and no lie belongs to the truth.

²² Who is the real liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ. He is the real antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.

²³ Whoever rejects the Son rejects the Father. Whoever embrace the Son embraces the Father also.

²⁴ So you must be sure to keep the message burningin your hearts; that is, the message of life you heard from the beginning. If you do, you will always be living in close fellowship with the Son and with the Father.

²⁶ I’ve written these things about those who are attempting to lead you astray. ²⁷ But the wonderful anointing you have received from Godis so much greater than their deception and now lives in you. There’s no need for anyone to keep teaching you. His anointing teaches you all that you need to know, for it will lead you into truth, not a counterfeit. So just as the anointing has taught you, remain in him. TPT

John 7:18 A person making things up tries to make himself look good. But someone trying to honor the one who sent him sticks to the facts and doesn’t tamper with reality.  MSG

PRO 22:12 God passionately watchesover his deep reservoirof revelation-knowledge, but he subverts the lies of those who pervert the truth. TPT

Prov 22:12 God guards knowledge with a passion, but he’ll have nothing to do with deception.  MSG

1 John 4:6 But we come from God and belong to God. Anyone who knows God understands us and listens. The person who has nothing to do with God will, of course, not listen to us. This is another test for telling the Spirit of Truth from the spirit of deception.   MSG 

Matt 4:10  Jesus’ refusal was curt: “Beat it, Satan!” He backed his rebuke with a third quotation from Deuteronomy: “Worship the Lord your God, and only him. Serve him with absolute single-heartedness.”

11 The Test was over. The Devil left. And in his place, angels! Angels came and took care of Jesus’ needs.  MSG

Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap.  AMP

Titus 1:2 My aim is to raise hopes by pointing the way to life without end. This is the life God promised long ago — and he doesn’t break promises!

3 And then when the time was ripe, he went public with his truth. I’ve been entrusted to proclaim this Message by order of our Savior, God himself. MSG    

Heb 6:18 This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us].

19 [Now] we have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it — a hope] that reaches farther and enters into [the very certainty of the Presence] within the veil,  AMP

Heb 6:18 God can’t break his word. And because his word cannot change, the promise is likewise unchangeable. We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go.

Matt 24:22 If these days of trouble were left to run their course, nobody would make it. But on account of God’s chosen people, the trouble will be cut short.

23 “If anyone tries to flag you down, calling out, ‘Here’s the Messiah!’ or points, ‘There he is!’ don’t fall for it.

24 Fake Messiahs and lying preachers are going to pop up everywhere. Their impressive credentials and dazzling performances will pull the wool over the eyes of even those who ought to know better.

25 But I’ve given you fair warning.  MSG

2 Tim 3:13 Unscrupulous con men will continue to exploit the faith. They’re as deceived as the people they lead astray. As long as they are out there, things can only get worse.

14 But don’t let it faze you. Stick with what you learned and believed, sure of the integrity of your teachers —  

15 why, you took in the sacred Scriptures with your mother’s milk! There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

16 Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another — showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way.

17 Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.  MSG

2 TIM  3:13-17 But the evil men and sorcererswill progress from bad to worse, deceived and deceiving, as they lead people further from the truth.

¹⁴ Yet you must continue to advance in strength with the truth wrapped around your heart, being assured by God that he’s the Onewho has truly taught you all these things.

¹⁵ Remember what you were taught from your childhood from the Holy Scrollswhich can impart to you wisdom to experience everlasting life through the faith of Jesus, the Anointed One!

¹⁶ Every Scripturehas been written by the Holy Spirit, the breath of God. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness.

REV  20:2-3 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent known as the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.

³ The mighty angel threw him into the pit, locked it, and sealed it so that he could no longer deceive the nations until the thousand years were over. (After that he must be loosed for a brief time.) TPT

Rev 20:10 The Devil who deceived them will be hurled into Lake Fire and Brimstone, joining the Beast and False Prophet, the three in torment around the clock for ages without end.  MSG

Ex 19:5 Now therefore, if you will obey My voice in truth and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own peculiar possession and treasure from among and above all peoples; for all the earth is Mine.   AMP

Ps 51:6 Behold, You desire truth in the inner being; make me therefore to know wisdom in my inmost heart. AMP

Jer 10:10 But the Lord is the true God and the God of truth (the God Who is Truth). He is the living God and the everlasting King. At His wrath the earth quakes, and the nations are not able to bear His indignation.  AMP

John 3:21 But he who practices truth [who does what is right] comes out into the Light; so that his works may be plainly shown to be what they are — wrought with God [divinely prompted, done with God’s help, in dependence upon Him].  AMP

John 3:33 Whoever receives His testimony has set his seal of approval to this: God is true. [That man has definitely certified, acknowledged, declared once and for all, and is himself assured that it is divine truth that God cannot lie]. AMP

John 4:23 A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers.

24 God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).  AMP

Gal 4:7  Doesn’t that privilege of intimate conversation with God make it plain that you are not a slave, but a child? And if you are a child, you’re also an heir, with complete access to the inheritance.  MSG

Eph 4:30  Don’t grieve God. Don’t break his heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and breathing in you, is the most intimate part of your life, making you fit for himself. Don’t take such a gift for granted.  MSG

Heb 11:7  By faith, Noah built a ship in the middle of dry land. He was warned about something he couldn’t see, and acted on what he was told. The result? His family was saved. His act of faith drew a sharp line between the evil of the unbelieving world and the rightness of the believing world. As a result, Noah became intimate with God.  MSG

1 John 2:6  Anyone who claims to be intimate with God ought to live the same kind of life Jesus lived.   MSG

1 John 4:15  Everyone who confesses that Jesus is God’s Son participates continuously in an intimate relationship with God.  MSG

Deut 4:29 But even there, if you seek God, your God, you’ll be able to find him if you’re serious, looking for him with your whole heart and soul.

30 When troubles come and all these awful things happen to you, in future days you will come back to God, your God, and listen obediently to what he says.

James 2:23 The full meaning of “believe” in the Scripture sentence, “Abraham believed God and was set right with God,” includes his action. It’s that mesh of believing and acting that got Abraham named “God’s friend.”  MSG

JN 15:13-15 For the greatest love of all is a love that sacrifices all. And this great love is demonstrated when a person sacrifices his life for his friends.

Prov 18:24 The man of many friends [a friend of all the world] will prove himself a bad friend, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.  AMP

Luke 12:32  Don’t be afraid of missing out. You’re my dearest friends! The Father wants to give you the very kingdom itself. MSG

Ps 148:14  he’s built a monument — his very own people! Praise from all who love God! Israel’s children, intimate friends of God. Hallelujah!   MSG

2 Cor 13:14  The amazing grace of the Master, Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit, be with all of you.  MSG

John 17:3  And this is the real and eternal life: That they know you, The one and only true God, And Jesus Christ, whom you sent. MSG

JN 17:3 Eternal life means to know and experience you  as the only true God,  and to know and experience Jesus Christ, as the Son whom you have sent. TPT

Eph 3:19  [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!  AMP

1 John 4:7  My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God.   MSG

NOTHING CAN STOP US  9-6-2020

If we are honest with ourselves we would have to admit that the biggest obstacle in our lives has become an opportunity to move us forward. Barriers now become bridges, ways of escape so we can go from glory to glory. Though you may not see the full manifestation of his plan it will come forth in spite of contrary circumstances. God has plans for you and your children and their children.

Ex 3:14 And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM and WHAT I AM, and I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you! 

15 God said also to Moses, This shall you say to the Israelites: The Lord, the God of your fathers, of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has sent me to you! This is My name forever, and by this name I am to be remembered to all generations.   AMP

Heb 13:8 For Jesus doesn’t change — yesterday, today, tomorrow, he’s always totally himself.  MSG

ISA 59:21 And this is my covenant promise with them,” says Lord Yahweh.
 “From now on, my Holy Spirit will rest on them and not depart from them,and my prophetic words will fill their mouthsand will not depart from them, nor from their children, nor from their descendants, from now on and forever,” says Lord Yahweh. TPT

Matt 16:19 “And that’s not all. You will have complete and free access to God’s kingdom, keys to open any and every door: no more barriers between heaven and earth, earth and heaven. A yes on earth is yes in heaven. A no on earth is no in heaven.”   MSG 

2 Cor 1:20  Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In him, this is what we preach and pray, the great Amen, God’s Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident.

21 God affirms us, making us a sure thing in Christ, putting his Yes within us.

PHIL 1:12-14 I want you to know, dear ones, what has happened to me has not hindered, but helped my ministry of preaching the gospel, causing it to expand and spread to many people.

¹³ For now the elite Roman guards and government officialsoverseeing my imprisonment have plainly recognized that I am here because of my love for the Anointed One.

¹⁴ And what I’m going through has actually caused many believersto become even more courageous in the Lord and to be bold and passionate to preach the Word of God, all because of my chains. TPT

1 Cor 16:9 A huge door of opportunity for good work has opened up here. (There is also mushrooming opposition.)  MSG

Ps 126:6 So those who went off with heavy hearts will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing. MSG

EPH 5:16-17 So be very careful how you live, not being like those with no understanding, but live honorably with true wisdom, for we are living in evil times. Take full advantage of every day as you spend your life for his purposes.

We are called to bear his image. Chosen from the foundation of the world to show forth his praise and his glory. We’ve been given dominion over the earth.

Gen 1:26 God spoke: “Let us make human beings in our image, make them

reflecting our nature So they can be responsible for the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the cattle, And, yes, Earth itself, and every animal that moves on the face of Earth.”

27 God created human beings; he created them godlike, Reflecting God’s nature. He created them male and female.

“because we are what he is in this world.” The verb tense is important. We are not like Jesus was, but because of grace, we are like he is now: pure and holy, seated in heaven, and glorified. Faith has transferred his righteousness to us.

DO NOT BE AFRAID TO PRAY 8-30-2020

Mary Dorian’s Vision- ”I see the world covered with the deception. It looks like a vine or a tree or a deep root from a plant. It’s like a huge weed with thorns. It is trying to entangle the earth. But the army of prayer warriors is rising. Even now believers are being quickened to pray. It’s across the whole globe

Thorns equal unbelief, and hopelessness. In prayer know that there are more for you than against you. When we pray, heaven response prayer is an encounter with God. Praying  is not just asking for something. It is a spiritual connection between heaven and earth. Heaven is touched by prayer. God is moved and he responds.

2 Kings 6:14 So [the Syrian king] sent there horses, chariots, and a great army. They came by night and surrounded the city.

15 When the servant of the man of God rose early and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was around the city. Elisha’s servant said to him, Alas, my master! What shall we do?

16 [Elisha] answered, Fear not; for those with us are more than those with them.

17 Then Elisha prayed, Lord, I pray You, open his eyes that he may see. And the Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.  AMP

HEB 12:1  As for us, we have all of these great witnesseswho encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced usand the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon racewith passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before usTPT

John 17:9 I pray for them. I’m not praying for the God-rejecting world But for those you gave me, For they are yours by right.

ACTS 16:25-26 Paul and Silas, undaunted, prayed in the middle of the night and sang songs of praise to God, while all the other prisoners listened to their worship.

²⁶ Suddenly, a great earthquake shook the foundations of the prison. All at once every prison door flung open and the chains of all the prisoners came loose. TPT

Acts 28:8 Publius’s father was sick at the time, down with a high fever and dysentery. Paul went to the old man’s room, and when he laid hands on him and prayed, the man was healed.

9 Word of the healing got around fast, and soon everyone on the island who was sick came and got healed.  MSG

COL 4:2-4 Be faithful to pray as intercessors who are fully alert and giving thanks to God.

³ And please pray for me, that God will open a door of opportunity for us to preach the revelation of the mystery of Christ, for whose sake I am imprisoned. ⁴ Pray that I would unfold and reveal fully this mystery, for that is my delightful assignment. TPT

 2 THESS 3:1 Finally, dear brothers and sisters, pray for us that the Lord’s message will continue to spread rapidly and its glory be recognized everywhere, just as it was with you.  TPT

Acts 12:5  All the time that Peter was under heavy guard in the jailhouse, the church prayed for him most strenuously.

6 Then the time came for Herod to bring him out for the kill. That night, even though shackled to two soldiers, one on either side, Peter slept like a baby. And there were guards at the door keeping their eyes on the place. Herod was taking no chances!

7 Suddenly there was an angel at his side and light flooding the room. The angel shook Peter and got him up: “Hurry!” The handcuffs fell off his wrists.

8 The angel said, “Get dressed. Put on your shoes.” Peter did it. Then, “Grab your coat and let’s get out of here.”

9 Peter followed him, but didn’t believe it was really an angel — he thought he was dreaming.

10 Past the first guard and then the second, they came to the iron gate that led into the city. It swung open before them on its own, and they were out on the street, free as the breeze. At the first intersection the angel left him, going his own way.

11 That’s when Peter realized it was no dream. “I can’t believe it — this really happened! The Master sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s vicious little production and the spectacle the Jewish mob was looking forward to.”

12 Still shaking his head, amazed, he went to Mary’s house, the Mary who was John Mark’s mother. The house was packed with praying friends.

13 When he knocked on the door to the courtyard, a young woman named Rhoda came to see who it was.

14 But when she recognized his voice — Peter’s voice! — she was so excited and eager to tell everyone Peter was there that she forgot to open the door and left him standing in the street.

15 But they wouldn’t believe her, dismissing her, dismissing her report. “You’re crazy,” they said. She stuck by her story, insisting. They still wouldn’t believe her and said, “It must be his angel.”

16 All this time poor Peter was standing out in the street, knocking away.

Finally they opened up and saw him — and went wild!

17 Peter put his hands up and calmed them down. He described how the Master had gotten him out of jail, then said, “Tell James and the brothers what’s happened.” He left them and went off to another place.  MSG

1 THESS 5:17-18 Make your life a prayer.

Mark 14:37 He came back and found them sound asleep. He said to Peter, “Simon, you went to sleep on me? Can’t you stick it out with me a single hour?

38 Stay alert, be in prayer, so you don’t enter the danger zone without even knowing it. Don’t be naive. Part of you is eager, ready for anything in God; but another part is as lazy as an old dog sleeping by the fire.”

39 He then went back and prayed the same prayer.

40 Returning, he again found them sound asleep. They simply couldn’t keep their eyes open, and they didn’t have a plausible excuse. MSG

MATT 5:44 However, I say to you, love your enemy, bless the one who curses you, do something wonderful for the one who hates you,and respond to the very ones who persecute you by praying for them. TPT

Matt 6:6 “Here’s what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won’t be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace.

7 “The world is full of so-called prayer warriors who are prayer-ignorant. They’re full of formulas and programs and advice, peddling techniques for getting what you want from God.

8 Don’t fall for that nonsense. This is your Father you are dealing with, and he knows better than you what you need.  MSG

Mark 13:30 Surely I say to you, this generation (the whole multitude of people living at that one time) positively will not perish or pass away before all these things take place.

31 Heaven and earth will perish and pass away, but My words will not perish or pass away.

32 But of that day or that hour not a [single] person knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

33 Be on your guard [constantly alert], and watch and pray; for you do not know when the time will come.  AMP

Ps 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! May they prosper who love you [the Holy City]!  AMP

James 5:13 Is anyone among you afflicted (ill-treated, suffering evil)? He should pray. Is anyone glad at heart? He should sing praise [to God].  AMP

JAMES 5:16-18 Confess and acknowledge how you have offended one another^[ and then pray for one another to be instantly healed, for tremendous power is released through the passionate, heartfelt prayerof a godly believer!

¹⁷ Elijah was a man with human frailties, just like all of us, but he prayed and received supernatural answers. He actually shut the heavens over the land so there would be no rain for three and a half years!

¹⁸ Then he prayed again and the skies opened up over the land so that the rain came again and produced the harvest.  TPT

FEAR IS A THEIF  8-28-2020

Fear, afraid to speak out fear of man, following the crowd to be accepted. What are you afraid of? Bill Johnson said “Fear is a thief. It robbed Peter of a perfectly good walk on the water and kept the other 11 disciples in the boat”. Fear will try to rob you of your destiny. Fear can come upon us and causes to tremble and shake. It makes us not able to go forward. It makes us want to hide. Fear can flow through our hearts, minds and emotions like a raging river. It is paralyzing.

MT 14:22 As soon as the people were fed, Jesus told his disciples to get into their boat and to go to the other side of the lake while he stayed behind to dismiss the people.

²⁸ Peter shouted out, “Lord, if it’s really you, then have me join you on the water!”

²⁹ “Come and join me,”^[ Jesus replied. So Peter stepped out onto the water and began to walk toward Jesus.

³⁰ But when he realized how high the waves were, he became frightened and started to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he cried out.

³¹ Jesus immediately stretched out his hand and lifted him up and said, “What little faith you have! Why would you let doubt win?”

Deut 7:18  But I’m telling you, Don’t be afraid. Remember, yes, remember in detail what God, your God, did to Pharaoh and all Egypt.

Church preparing for the battle but how do we do this? Prepare means to make ready for something that is going to happen. To position ourselves by knowledge of who we are. There is a road we are to build up. A highway of redemption. We are preparing by building up not tearing down. To prepare we must know who we are. Our position in the body of Christ is sonship. Not just to have mental assent but actual heart knowledge of who God has created us to be. The battle is not against flesh and blood. We will see in this hour more darkness than before but we will know how to fight. And the result will always be victory.

PROV 24:27 Go ahead, build your career and give yourself to your work. But if you put me first, you’ll see your family built up. TPT

Matt 6:33 Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

34 “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.  MSG

Isa 62:10 Walk out of the gates. Get going! Get the road ready for the people.

Build the highway. Get at it! Clear the debris, hoist high a flag, a signal to all peoples!

11 Yes! God has broadcast to all the world: “Tell daughter Zion, ‘Look! Your Savior comes, Ready to do what he said he’d do, prepared to complete what he promised.'”

12 Zion will be called new names: Holy People, God-Redeemed, Sought-Out, City-Not-Forsaken.  MSG

GOD IS OUR SHELTER 8-21-2020

God is our shelter. He is also renewing our strength. To be a shelter means a place where one is protected from harm, a covering. Renewed strength is when you feel like you have reached your end, God will strengthen you again to complete that would He began in you.

Ps 27:5 For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock. AMP

PS 27:5 In his shelter in the day of trouble, that’s where you’ll find me, for he hides me there in his holiness. He has smuggled me into his secret place, where I’m kept safe and secure—out of reach from all my enemies. PS 91:1-4 When you sit enthronedunder the shadow of Shaddai, you are hiddenin the strength of God Most High.
² He’s the hope that holds me and the Stronghold to shelter me, the only God for me, and my great confidence.
³ He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy, and he will protect you from false accusation and any deadly curse.
⁴ His massive armsare wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under his covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm. TPT

COMMUNION

THE MINISTRY OF FORGIVNESS 8-14 2000

The Greek word for forgiveness often is translated to mean to send forth or away, to let go from ones self, to let go from one’s power, protection, to let go from our attention, to resume our life free from offense. Forgiveness is an act of faith. Emotions may come and go but we make a decision to let go.

2 Cor 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds,

5 [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One),  AMP

2 COR 10:4-5 For although we live in the natural realm, we don’t wage a military campaign employing human weapons, using manipulation to achieve our aims. Instead, our spiritual weapons are energized with divine power to effectively dismantle the defenses behind which people hide.

⁵ We can demolish every deceptive fantasythat opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thoughtand insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.  TPT

²⁴ As he began the process, it came to his attention that one of his servantsowed him one billion dollars,So he summoned the servant before him and said to him, ‘Pay me what you owe me.’

²⁵ When his servant was unable to repay his debt, the king ordered that he be sold as a slave along with his wife and children and every possession they owned as payment toward his debt.

²⁶ The servant threw himself facedown at his master’s feet and begged for mercy. ‘Please be patient with me. Just give me more time and I will repay you all that I owe.’

²⁷ Upon hearing his pleas, the king had compassion on his servant, and released him, and forgave his entire debt.

²⁸ “No sooner had the servant left when he met one of his fellow servants, who owed him twenty thousand dollarsHe seized him by the throat and began to choke him, saying, ‘You’d better pay me right now everything you owe me!’

²⁹ His fellow servant threw himself facedown at his feet and begged, ‘Please be patient with me. If you’ll just give me time, I will repay you all that is owed.’

³⁰ But the one who had his debt forgiven stubbornly refused to forgive what was owed him. He had his fellow servant thrown into prison and demanded he remain there until he repaid the debt in full.

³¹ “When his associates saw what was going on, they were outraged and went to the king and told him the whole story.

³² The king said to him, ‘You scoundrel!Is this the way you respond to my mercy? Because you begged me, I forgave you the massive debt that you owed me.

³³ Why didn’t you show the same mercy to your fellow servant that I showed to you?’

³⁴ In a fury of anger, the king turned him over to the prison guards to be tortured until all his debt was repaid.

³⁵ In this same way, my heavenly Father will deal with any of you if you do not release forgiveness from your hearttoward your fellow believer.”  TPT

EHP 4:32 But instead be kindand affectionate toward one another. Has God graciously forgiven you? Then graciously forgive one another in the depths of Christ’s love. TPT

2 Cor 5:19 God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing.

20 We’re Christ’s representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God’s work of making things right between them. We’re speaking for Christ himself now: Become friends with God; he’s already a friend with you. MSG

2 COR 5:19-20 In other words, it was through the Anointed One that God was shepherding the world, not even keeping records of their transgressions, and he has entrusted to us the ministry of opening the door of reconciliation to God.

²⁰ We are ambassadorsof the Anointed One who carry the message of Christ to the world, as though God were tenderly pleadingwith them directly through our lips. So we tenderly plead with you on Christ’s behalf, “Turn back to God and be reconciled to him.”  TPT

Gal 6:1 Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day’s out.  MSG

Forgiveness means different things to different people. Generally, however, it involves a decision to let go of resentment and thoughts of revenge.

Prov 20:22  Don’t ever say, “I’ll get you for that!” Wait for God; he’ll settle the score.  MSG

COL 3:13-14 Tolerate the weaknesses of those in the family of faith, forgiving one another in the same way you have been graciously forgiven by Jesus Christ. If you find fault with someone, release this same gift of forgiveness to them.

Acts 13:38 So let it be clearly known and understood by you, brethren, that through this Man forgiveness and removal of sins is now proclaimed to you;  AMP

Eph 1:7 In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor, AMP

PROV 17:9 Love overlooks the mistakes of others, but dwelling on the failures of others devastates friendships. TPT

James 1:19 Post this at all the intersections, dear friends: Lead with your ears, follow up with your tongue, and let anger straggle along in the rear.
