He will find his delight in living by the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord. He will neither judge by appearances nor make his decisions based on rumors. Matt 2:1 NOW WHEN Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men [astrologers] from the east came to Jerusalem, asking,

2 Where is He Who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east at its rising and have come to worship Him.

3 When Herod the king heard this, he was disturbed and troubled, and the whole of Jerusalem with him.

4 So he called together all the chief priests and learned men (scribes) of the people and anxiously asked them where the Christ was to be born.

5 They replied to him, In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet:

6 And you Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, you are not in any way least or insignificant among the chief cities of Judah; for from you shall come a Ruler (Leader) Who will govern and shepherd My people Israel.  AMP

Matt 2:9 When they had listened to the king, they went their way, and behold, the star which had been seen in the east in its rising went before them until it came and stood over the place where the young Child was.

10 When they saw the star, they were thrilled with ecstatic joy.

11 And on going into the house, they saw the Child with Mary His mother, and they fell down and worshiped Him. Then opening their treasure bags, they presented to Him gifts — gold and frankincense and myrrh.

12 And receiving an answer to their asking, they were divinely instructed and warned in a dream not to go back to Herod; so they departed to their own country by a different way. AMP

John 1:14  The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood.

We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son,

Generous inside and out, true from start to finish.

15 John pointed him out and called, “This is the One! The One I told you was coming after me but in fact was ahead of me. He has always been ahead of me, has always had the first word.”

16 We all live off his generous bounty, gift after gift after gift.

17 We got the basics from Moses, and then this exuberant giving and receiving, This endless knowing and understanding — all this came through Jesus, the Messiah.

18 No one has ever seen God, not so much as a glimpse. This one-of-a-kind God-Expression, who exists at the very heart of the Father, has made him plain as day.

JOHN 1:14 Suddenly the invisible, eternal Word takes on visible form – the Incarnation, on display in a flesh and blood Person, as in a mirror! In him, and now confirmed in us! The most accurate tangible exhibit of God’s eternal thought finds expression in human life! The Word became a human being; we are his address; he resides in us! He captivates our gaze! The glory we see there is not a religious replica; he is the authentic begotten Son. The glory  returns in fullness! Only grace can communicate truth in such complete context!

15 John the Baptist raised his voice to announce emphatically that Jesus was what his ministry and prophetic message were all about. He declared that Jesus, though younger than him, since he 1witnessed his birth, ranks above him in prominence and in his Messianic mission – because in his I-am-ness, he always was pre-eminent.

16 He is the source of our completeness. Everyone may now realize their own completeness as evidenced in him. This is grace mirrored in grace!

17 The law was given through Moses; grace and truth have their genesis in Jesus Christ. Against the stark backdrop of the law, with Moses representing the condemned state of mankind, Jesus Christ unveils grace and truth!

18 Until this moment God remained invisible; now the authentic, incarnate begotten Son, the blueprint of our design who represents the innermost being of God, the Son who is in the bosom of the Father, brings him into full view! He is the official authority qualified to announce God! He is our guide who accurately declares and interprets the invisible God within us.  MIRROR

EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE 12-13-22  VIDEO I BELIEVE IN JESUS SPOKEN

The record of things that seem impossible, but became possible and visible is amazing. As we get ready to celebrate Christmas, let us consider the realm of possibilities that happened when prophecy was fulfilled here on the earth. Record shows that nothing is impossible for God. The shepherds in the field watched over their flocks. They heard the promise of the Messiah. As a matter fact, they were watching over the very sheep who would symbolize the sacrifice. The lambs blood symbolized the blood of the LAMB that would release men from sin.

Isa 45:8  Let fall in showers, you heavens, from above, and let the skies rain down righteousness [the pure, spiritual, heaven-born possibilities that have their foundation in the holy being of God]; let the earth open, and let them [skies and earth] sprout forth salvation, and let righteousness germinate and spring up [as plants do] together; I the Lord have created it.  AMP

Job 15:14 Do you think it’s possible for any mere mortal to be sinless in God’s sight, for anyone born of a human mother to get it all together? MSG

Luke 1:30 But the angel assured her, “Mary, you have nothing to fear. God has a surprise for you:

31 You will become pregnant and give birth to a son and call his name Jesus.

32 He will be great, be called ‘Son of the Highest.’ The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David;

33 He will rule Jacob’s house forever — no end, ever, to his kingdom.”

34 Mary said to the angel, “But how? I’ve never slept with a man.”

35 The angel answered, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, the power of the Highest hover over you; Therefore, the child you bring to birth will be called Holy, Son of God.

36 “And did you know that your cousin Elizabeth conceived a son, old as she is? Everyone called her barren, and here she is six months’ pregnant!

37 Nothing, you see, is impossible with God.”

38 And Mary said, Yes, I see it all now: I’m the Lord’s maid, ready to serve. Let it be with me just as you say. Then the angel left her.  MSG

LUKE 2:8 Now there were also shepherds in that area keeping watch at night over their flock, in the open fields.

9 Then suddenly a celestial messenger of the Lord stood by them and the light of the glory of the Lord engulfed them. They were petrified.

10 The celestial messenger immediately calmed them and said, “You have no reason to fear! Listen! I have the most wonderful announcement to make – this will lead to the great encounter of the most joyful bliss for every single person on the planet!

11 For your Savior was born this day in the city of David, the Messiah, the Master.

12 This is how you will know it’s him, you’ll find a little baby, wrapped in strips of cloth and lying in a feeding-trough!

13 The next moment, a heavenly host of multitudes of celestial messengers joined and erupted in accolades of praise telling the God-story!

14 God’s highest and grandest intention in the heavens is dove-tailed upon earth in unbroken, incarnate oneness; in being human, he exibits his delight in mankind!

15 Then, as the celestial heralds withdrew into the heavens, the shepherds immediately determined to go to Bethlehem and witness with their own eyes, the prophetic word which has now come to pass, as they have learned from the Lord.

16 They departed with great urgency and searched until they found the trophy – Mary and Joseph with their little baby, who was lying in a feeding-trough.

17 Having now seen for themselves, they boldly shared the significance of their encounter and how the prophetic word was communicated to them concerning this child.

18 Everyone who heard their story, was filled with wonder!  MIRROR

LU 2:25 And significantly so, there happened to be a man Simeon, in Jerusalem; he was a righteous man who embraced the goodness of God.

26 Simeon had a Holy Spirit encounter and knew that he would not die before he sees the Lord’s Anointed.

27 Prompted in the spirit, he arrived at the temple as the parents of the child Jesus, brought him in, as prescribed in their tradition and law.

28 And Simeon, holding the little child in his arms began to speak eloquent praises to God and said,

29 My Master, I am fully satisfied; you can now release your bond-servant in peace. I am holding your incarnate word in my arms!

LUKE 2:36 There was also a prophetess Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, from the tribe of Asher. She was already far advanced in her days and a widow for eighty four years. Her husband died when she was only twenty one and married for seven years.

37 For all these years, since her husband’s death, she ministered to the Lord continually in the temple with prayers and frequent fastings.

38 As Simeon concluded his prophetic song over the family, Anna mirror-echoed his words in a song of thanksgiving to God for the child. And from that day on, she told everyone in Jerusalem that their 1Darling, the anticipated Messiah-redeemer has come!   MIRROR

28Jesus responded, “Listen to the truth: In the age of the restoration of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will have twelve thrones of your own, and you will govern the twelve tribes of Israel.

29For anyone who has left behind their home and property, leaving family—brothers or sisters, mothers or fathers, or children—for my sake, they will be repaid a hundred times over and will inherit eternal life.

9 The host of the event tasted the water that has now become wine, but had no clue as to its vintage or origin. The servants didn’t tell him a word, so he called the bridegroom.

10 “Why would you keep the best wine for last?” Everybody serves the better wine first, so that by the time the cheaper wine is served, no-one can tell the difference – and here you surprise us all by bringing this excellent wine from your storehouse. 6 They did this and trapped a massive school of large fish! So large was their haul, that the nets began to tear!

7 Then they signalled to their partners in the other boat to come and assist them. When they arrived, they filled both vessels to capacity which almost sank the boats.

8 Witnessing this, Simon fell on his knees and began to beg Jesus to leave! “Depart from me Lord, for I am a sinful man!”

52 Everyone outside was weeping and overcome with grief, but Jesus said, there is no need for weeping since she is only sleeping and not dead!

53 Their wailing immediately became scornful laughter since they were convinced that she was dead.

LOVE 12-16-22  VIDEO PUT GOD FIRST 2

God’s love justifies us and our lives. It fills us with hope for the future. His love serves as a constant reminder that He is always watching over us. Love is giving and God gave. God loves us with His whole mind, heart and with His entire being, and with all His might that’s how He asks us to love Him. Agape love is a choice not attraction or obligation. Love is the most important thing in the kingdom.

John 3:16  “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.

17 God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again.  MSG

19 We love because he loved us first!

20 If anyone claims to love God but he cannot stand a fellow human, his love for God is fake; how is it possible to not love someone you can see with your eyes yet claim to love an invisible God?

45 for then you are working out of your true selves, your God-created selves. This is what God does. He gives his best — the sun to warm and the rain to nourish — to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty.

45For that will reveal your identity as children of your heavenly Father. He is kind to all by bringing the sunrise to warm and rainfall to refresh whether a person does what is good or evil.

2 I could predict the future in detail and have a word of knowledge for everyone. I could possess amazing faith, and prove it by moving mountains! It doesn’t make me any more important than anyone else. Love is who you are! You are not defined by your gift or deeds.

3 Love is not about defending a point of view; even if I am prepared to give away everything I have and die a martyr’s death; love does not have to prove itself by acts of supreme devotion or self sacrifice!

4 Love is large in being passionate about life and relentlessly patient in bearing the offenses and injuries of others with kindness. Love is completely content and strives for nothing. Love has no desire to make others feel inferior and has no need to sing its own praises.

5 Love is predictable and does not behave out of character. Love is not ambitious. Love is not spiteful and gets no mileage out of another’s mistakes; it bears no record of wrongs!

6 Love sees no joy in injustice. Love’s delight is in everything that truth celebrates.

7 Love is a fortress where everyone feels protected rather than exposed! Love’s persuasion is persistent! Love believes. Love never loses hope and always remains constant in contradiction.

8 Love never loses its altitude! Prophecies will cease. Tongues will pause. The quest for knowledge will be inappropriate when perfection is grasped. MIRROR

16 His Spirit bears joint witness within our spirit to confirm the fact that we began in God.

17 Because we are his offspring, we are certainly also his heirs; God himself is our portion and we are his! We are co-heirs in Christ. Since we were represented and included in his suffering we equally participate in the glory of his resurrection. MIRROR

RO 8:18 He has taken the sting out of our suffering; what seemed burdensome at the time, becomes insignificant in comparison to the glory he reveals in us.

19 Our lives now represent the one event every creature anticipates with held breath, standing on tip-toe as it were to witness the unveiling of the sons of God. Can you hear the drum-roll?

20 Every creature suffered abuse through Adam’s fall; they were discarded like a squeezed-out orange. Creation did not volunteer to fall prey to the effect of the fall. Yet within this stark setting, hope prevails.

21 All creation knows that the glorious liberty of the sons of God sets the stage for their own release from decay. MIRROR

GAL 4:8 What really amazes me is how gullible you Gentile believers are to get yourselves all tangled up again in oppressive Jewish rites! I mean you know all about your before Christ days of slavery to imaginary gods under your pagan beliefs.

9 In the meantime, you have come to know the real God;  what is most significant however, is to discover that he knew you all along! After all, how could you possibly feel attracted again to the pathetic principles of religious deception? It does not matter in what disguise legalism comes, whether pagan or Jewish, it brings the same bondage.   MIRROR

GAL 5:1 Christ defines your faith; he is your freedom from anything from which the law could never free you! Find your firm footing in this freedom. Do not let religion trip you up again and harness you to a system of rules and obligations!  MIRROR

ROM 5:15 The only similarity in the comparison between the crash-landing and the gift, is that both Adam and Christ represent the masses. However, the grace gift lavished upon mankind in the one man Jesus Christ supersedes the effect of Adam’s failure by far and is beyond comparison in significance to the idea of death and separation.  MIRROR

Heb 2:14- Since, therefore, [these His] children share in flesh and blood [in the physical nature of human beings], He [Himself] in a similar manner partook of the same [nature], that by [going through] death He might bring to nought and make of no effect him who had the power of death — that is, the devil —

EPH 4:8 Scripture confirms that he arrested every possible threat that held mankind hostage!  And in his resurrection, he led us as trophies in his triumphant procession on high. Consider the genius of God, in the incarnate Christ, he repossessed what belonged to us by design, in human form; this is his grace-gift to us!

9 The fact that he ascended confirms his victorious descent into the deepest pits of human despair. All mankind originate from above; we are anouthen, from above

10 He now occupies the ultimate rank of authority, from the lowest regions of our darkness into which he reached in order to rescue us, to the highest authority in the heavens, having executed his mission to the full.

GRACE THAT ENABLES 12-4-22

GRACE THAT ENABLES 12-4-22  VIDEO Grace by Francois Du Toit

Last Sunday we talked about sin, and how it was, and still is defeated. It seems like the Lord is wanting to show us what is now in place for us to live our lives, it is grace. Grace enables us, it gives us the authority to do something. It provides us with opportunity to move forward in the kingdom.

HEB 4:16 For this reason we can approach the authoritative throne of grace with bold utterance. We are welcome there in his embrace, and are reinforced with immediate effect in times of trouble.  MIRROR

Matthew 11:29 Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me.

Rom 5:2 And that’s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand — out in the wide open spaces

of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise. MSG

GAL 1:15 God’s eternal love dream separated me from my mother’s womb; his grace became my identity.  MIRROR

Rom 5:20 But then Law came in, [only] to expand and increase the trespass [making it more apparent and exciting opposition]. But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God’s unmerited favor) has surpassed it and increased the more and superabounded,

21 So that, [just] as sin has reigned in death, [so] grace (His unearned and undeserved favor) might reign also through righteousness (right standing with God) which issues in eternal life through Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) our Lord. AMP

▼▼▼

Rom 5:20  All that passing laws against sin did was produce more lawbreakers. But sin didn’t, and doesn’t, have a chance in competition with the aggressive forgiveness we call grace. When it’s sin versus grace, grace wins hands down.

21 All sin can do is threaten us with death, and that’s the end of it. Grace, because God is putting everything together again through the Messiah, invites us into life — a life that goes on and on and on, world without end. MSG

▼▼▼

RO 5:20 The presence of the law made no difference, instead it merely highlighted the offence; but where sin increased, grace superseded it.

21 Death provided sin its platform and power to reign from; now grace has taken over sovereignty through righteousness to introduce unthreatened life under the Lordship of Jesus Christ over us.  MIRROR

Rom 6:1 So what do we do? Keep on sinning so God can keep on forgiving?

2 I should hope not! If we’ve left the country where sin is sovereign, how can we still live in our old house there?

3 Or didn’t you realize we packed up and left there for good? That is what happened in baptism. When we went under the water, we left the old country of sin behind; when we came up out of the water, we entered into the new country of grace — a new life in a new land! That’s what baptism into the life of Jesus means. MSG

RO 12:3 His grace gift inspires me to say to you that your thinking must be consistent with everything that is within you according to the measure of faith that God has apportioned to every individual. Let the revelation of redemption shape your thoughts. MIRROR

Zech 4:7  For who are you, O great mountain [of human obstacles]? Before Zerubbabel [who with Joshua had led the return of the exiles from Babylon and was undertaking the rebuilding of the temple, before him] you shall become a plain [a mere molehill]! And he shall bring forth the finishing gable stone [of the new temple] with loud shoutings of the people, crying, Grace, grace to it!  AMP

ROM 11:5 Thus even in today’s context, God’s original word of grace has preserved a remnant of much larger proportion than what we can number.

6 Grace cannot suggest debt or obligation at the same time. The word grace can only mean what it says. The same argument goes for mankind’s good works; if salvation or any advantage for that matter is to be obtained according to prescribed regulations of conduct, then that’s it. No amount of grace can change the rules! Grace means grace and work means work.

7 The very thing Israel sought to obtain through their diligent labor they failed to get; yet those who embraced grace as God’s 1original intent hit the bull’s eye every time, leaving the rest groping around in the dark like blindfolded archers.   MIRROR

8 And He will establish you to the end [keep you steadfast, give you strength, and guarantee your vindication; He will be your warrant against all accusation or indictment so that you will be] guiltless and irreproachable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).  AMP

1 COR 1:7 In receiving the revelation of Jesus Christ as the principal influence in your life (his Lordship), you prove that you lack nothing and that his grace gifts fully compliment you.

1 COR 15:10 While my own doing completely disqualified me; his doing now defines me. I am what I am by the grace of God. I am because he is! His grace was not wasted on me; instead I am inspired to labor beyond the point of exhaustion, more than anything I ever did under the law of performance; whatever it is that I accomplish now has grace written all over it. I take no credit for it.   MIRROR

2 Corinthians 6:1 Now, since we are God’s coworkers, we beg you not to take God’s marvelous grace for granted, allowing it to have no effect on your lives.  TPT

2 COR 9:8 It is impossible to exaggerate the dimensions and detail of the grace of God! Plunge into the extravagance of grace where he exhibits the extreme dynamics of his bountiful dealing with us! We are already advantaged far beyond any calculation of personal merit to be completely self sufficient at all times in every possible situation that we might face! The overflow thereof amply supplies the needs of others in many creative ways to do good!  MIRROR

2 COR 12:6 Even though I have legitimate reasons to boast, I prefer not to. My life speaks for itself and I have nothing to hide!

7 In sharp contrast to these spiritual revelations, the physical pain that I suffered and my severe discomfort momentarily distracted me. It was as if the old mindset of accusation [Satan] persuaded me that this affliction was actually God’s way of keeping me humble.

8 I almost believed this lie and even implored the Lord three times to remove the thorn from my flesh.

9 Finally it dawned on me that grace is God’s language; he doesn’t speak “thorn-langauge”! He said to me, “My grace elevates you, to be fully content.” And now, instead of being overwhelmed with a sense of my own weakness, he overwhelms me with an awareness of his strength! Oh what bliss to rejoice in the fact that in the midst of my frailties I encounter the dynamic of the grace of God to be my habitation!  MIRROR

GAL 2:19 The law demanded my death; grace reveals that in God’s mind Jesus died that death. So as far as the law is concerned, I’m a dead man but as far as God is concerned I’m alive!

20 So here I am dead and alive at the same time! I’m dead to the old me I was trying to be and alive to the real me which is Christ in me! Co-crucified, now co-alive! What a glorious entanglement! I was in him in his death; now I discover that he is infused in me, in my life! For the first time, I’m free to be me in my skin, immersed in his faith in our joint-sonship! He loves me and believes in me! He is God’s gift to me!

21 It is an insult to the grace of God to prefer Moses to Jesus! If the law could justify you then Jesus wasted his time dying your death!  MIRROR

EPH 2:7 Imagine how God is now able for timeless perpetuity to exhibit the trophy of the wealth of his grace demonstrated in his kindness towards us in Christ Jesus. Grace exhibits excessive evidence of the success of the cross.

8 Your salvation is not a reward for good behavior! It was a grace thing from start to finish; you had no hand in it. Even the gift to believe simply reflects his faith! MIRROR

EPH 3:7 This Gospel defines my ministry; I am supercharged by the gift of his grace! MIRROR

FREE FROM SIN 11-27-22  VIDEO TAKE YOUR EYES OFF SIN 222

When is the most vital and precious truth that we need to receive is through Jesus and his blood we are set free from sin. Sin was the doorway for our separation from God physically, emotionally and spiritually. It allowed sickness and death access to mankind but thanks be unto God. We are free.

GEN 4:6-7 “So Yahweh said to Cain, ‘Why are you so angry and bothered? If you offer what is right, won’t you be accepted? But if you refuse to offer what is right, sin, the predator, is crouching in wait outside the door of your heart. It desires to have you, yet you must be its master’”. TPT

▼▼▼

Gen 4:7 If you do well, won’t you be accepted? And if you don’t do well, sin is lying in wait for you, ready to pounce; it’s out to get you, you’ve got to master it.”  MSG

Psalms 32:5 Then I finally admitted to you all my sins, refusing to hide them any longer.

I said, “My life-giving God, I will openly acknowledge my evil actions.”

And you forgave me! All at once the guilt of my sin washed away and all my pain disappeared! Pause in his presence

6This is what I’ve learned through it all: All believers should confess their sins to God;do it every time God has uncovered you in the time of exposing. For if you do this, when sudden storms of life overwhelm, you’ll be kept safe.  TPT

JN 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus approaching him, and declared: “Behold the Lamb of God; this is the one who would lift the sin of the cosmos like an anchor from the sea floor, for mankind to sail free!”  MIRROR

John 8:34 Jesus said, “I tell you most solemnly that anyone who chooses a life of sin is trapped in a dead-end life and is, in fact, a slave.

35 A slave is a transient, who can’t come and go at will. The Son, though, has an established position, the run of the house.

36 So if the Son sets you free, you are free through and through. MSG

JOHN 16:8 In this capacity of close companionship with you, Holy Spirit comes to convince the world concerning sin, righteousness and judgment:

9 Holy Spirit in you will persuade them concerning their sin, which boils down to a bankrupt, distorted identity due to their indifference to me.

10 In this union with you, the great Companion will also convince the world of righteousness because in my disappearing out of sight, to be face to face with the Father, the Spirit of truth will interpret the conclusion of my mission which is mankind’s association in me and their redeemed innocence! The intimate union with my Father that I displayed while present with you in my physical body will now be made visible in you!  MIRROR

ROM 3:19 The fact that all these quotations are from Jewish writings, confirm that their law of moral conduct did not free them from the very same sins the rest of the world was trapped in. The entire human race is now confronted with the 1righteousness of God.

20 The law proves all of mankind equally guilty and confirms that their most sincere duty-driven decisions and ‘self-help’ programs within the confines of the flesh could not give them any sense of improved confidence in their standing before God.

21 We are now talking a completely different language: the gospel unveils what God did right not what we did wrong! Both the law and all the prophetic writings pointed to this moment!

22 Jesus is what God believes about you! In him the righteousness of God is on display in such a way that everyone may be equally persuaded about what God believes about them, regardless of who they are; there is no distinction.  MIRROR

Rom 5:12  You know the story of how Adam landed us in the dilemma we’re in — first sin, then death, and no one exempt from either sin or death.

13 That sin disturbed relations with God in everything and everyone, but the extent of the disturbance was not clear until God spelled it out in detail to Moses. So death, this huge abyss separating us from God, dominated the landscape from Adam to Moses.

14 Even those who didn’t sin precisely as Adam did by disobeying a specific command of God still had to experience this termination of life, this separation from God. But Adam, who got us into this, also points ahead to the One who will get us out of it.

15 Yet the rescuing gift is not exactly parallel to the death-dealing sin. If one man’s sin put crowds of people at the dead-end abyss of separation from God, just think what God’s gift poured through one man, Jesus Christ, will do!

16 There’s no comparison between that death-dealing sin and this generous, life-giving gift. The verdict on that one sin was the death sentence; the verdict on the many sins that followed was this wonderful life sentence.

17 If death got the upper hand through one man’s wrongdoing, can you imagine the breathtaking recovery life makes, sovereign life, in those who grasp with both hands this wildly extravagant life-gift, this grand setting-everything-right, that the one man Jesus Christ provides?

18 Here it is in a nutshell: Just as one person did it wrong and got us in all this trouble with sin and death, another person did it right and got us out of it. But more than just getting us out of trouble, he got us into life!  MSG

 ▼▼▼

ROM 5:12 One person opened the door to sin. Sin introduced (spiritual) death. Both sin and death had a global impact. No one escaped its tyranny.

13 The law did not introduce sin; it was just not pointed out yet.

14 In the mean time death dominated everyone’s lifestyle, from Adam till Moses, no one was excluded; even those whose sins were different from Adam’s. The fact is that Adam’s deviation set sin into motion – what happened to mankind because of one man, Adam, is in principle typical of what was about to happen to the same mankind because of the one man, Jesus!

15 The only similarity in the comparison between the crash-landing and the gift, is that both Adam and Christ represent the masses. However, the grace gift lavished upon mankind in the one man Jesus Christ supersedes the effect of Adam’s failure by far and is beyond comparison in significance to the idea of death and separation.

16 The principle of the gift speaks a different language and brings a radically different equation to the table. Whereas a single sin resulted in a judgment that concluded in condemnation; grace translates countless deviations into acquittal and innocence.

17 Death no longer has the final say. Life rules! If the effect of one man’s crash-landing engaged mankind in a death-dominated lifestyle how much more advantaged is the very same mankind now that they are the recipients of the boundless reservoirs of grace, empowering them to enjoy the dominion of life through the gift of righteousness because of that one man, Jesus Christ. Grace is out of all proportion in superiority to the transgression.

18 The conclusion is clear: if one offence condemns the entire human race; then in principle, the righteousness of one vindicates the entire human race.  MIRROR

MSG

Rom 6:10 When Jesus died, he took sin down with him, but alive he brings God down to us.

11 From now on, think of it this way: Sin speaks a dead language that means nothing to you; God speaks your mother tongue, and you hang on every word. You are dead to sin and alive to God. That’s what Jesus did.  MSG

2 COR 5:21 This is the divine exchange: he who knew no sin embraced our distortion; he appeared to be without form; this was the mystery of God’s prophetic poetry. He was disguised in our distorted image and marred with our iniquities; he took our sorrows, our pain and our shame to his grave and birthed his righteousness in us. He took our sins and we became his innocence.  MIRROR

Rom 6:12  That means you must not give sin a vote in the way you conduct your lives. Don’t give it the time of day.

13 Don’t even run little errands that are connected with that old way of life. Throw yourselves wholeheartedly and full-time — remember, you’ve been raised from the dead! — into God’s way of doing things.

14 Sin can’t tell you how to live. After all, you’re not living under that old tyranny any longer. You’re living in the freedom of God. MSG

Rom 6:15 So, since we’re out from under the old tyranny, does that mean we can live any old way we want? Since we’re free in the freedom of God, can we do anything that comes to mind?

16 Hardly. You know well enough from your own experience that there are some acts of so-called freedom that destroy freedom. Offer yourselves to sin, for instance, and it’s your last free act. But offer yourselves to the ways of God and the freedom never quits. All your lives you’ve let sin tell you what to do.

17 But thank God you’ve started listening to a new master,

18 one whose commands set you free to live openly in his freedom! MSG

ROM 7:21 It has become a predictable principle; I desire to do well, but my mere desire cannot escape the evil presence that dictates my actions.

22 The real person that I am on the inside delights in the law of God.

23 There is another law though,  the law of sin, activating and enrolling the members of my body as weapons of war against the law of my mind. I am held captive like a prisoner of war in my own body.

24 It doesn’t matter how I weigh myself by my own efforts, I just do not measure up to expectations! The situation is absolutely desperate for mankind; is there anyone who can deliver them from this death trap?

25 Thank God, this is exactly what he has done through Jesus Christ our Leader; he has come to our rescue! I am finally freed from this conflict between the law of my mind and the law of sin in my body. MIRROR

RO 8:1 Now the decisive conclusion is this: in Christ, every bit of condemning evidence against us is cancelled.

2 The law of the Spirit is the liberating force of life in Christ. This leaves me with no further obligation to the law of sin and death. Spirit has superseded the sin enslaved senses as the principle law of our lives.

3 The law failed to be anything more than an instruction manual; it had no power to deliver us from the strong influence of sin holding us hostage in our own bodies. God disguised himself in his Son in this very domain where sin ruled us, in flesh. The body he lived and conquered in was no different to ours. Thus sin’s authority in the human body was condemned.  MIRROR

1 Cor 6:11 And such some of you were [once]. But you were washed clean (purified by a complete atonement for sin and made free from the guilt of sin), and you were consecrated (set apart, hallowed), and you were justified [pronounced righteous, by trusting] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God. AMP

1 Cor 10:13 For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.

1 John 1:7 But if we [really] are living and walking in the Light, as He [Himself] is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt [keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].  AMP

WE ARE ALL CONNECTED 11-25-22

WE ARE ALL CONNECTED 11-25-22  VIDEO THOUGHTS ON THE CHURCH BODY

We are all connected, joined together. Shoulder to shoulder heart to heart. This is a picture of how the Father sees us. In the last days the earthly of reality of this will be seen. Marriage is an example of being one flesh join together—one body. There is a blessing in our togetherness. We are not only joined with our brothers and sisters on earth but also in heaven.

John 11:51 Now he did not say this simply of his own accord [he was not self-moved]; but being the high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was to die for the nation,

52 And not only for the nation but also for the purpose of uniting into one body the children of God who have been scattered far and wide. AMP

▼▼▼

JN 11:51 This he said without realizing that in the office of the High Priest he was prophesying Jesus’ sacrificial death as the scapegoat of the entire nation.

52 And this was not for Israel only but in Jesus laying down his life as the true shepherd of mankind, he would lead together into one family all the children of God from wherever they have been scattered.  MIRROR

Rom 12:5 The body we’re talking about is Christ’s body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body. But as a chopped-off finger or cut-off toe we wouldn’t amount to much, would we? So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body,

6 let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t. If you preach, just preach God’s Message, nothing else;  MSG

1 Cor 10:17 Because there is one loaf, our many-ness becomes one-ness — Christ doesn’t become fragmented in us. Rather, we become unified in him. We don’t reduce Christ to what we are; he raises us to what he is. MSG

1 Cor 12:12  You can easily enough see how this kind of thing works by looking no further than your own body. Your body has many parts — limbs, organs, cells — but no matter how many parts you can name, you’re still one body. It’s exactly the same with Christ.

13 By means of his one Spirit, we all said good-bye to our partial and piecemeal lives. We each used to independently call our own shots, but then we entered into a large and integrated life in which he has the final say in everything. (This is what we proclaimed in word and action when we were baptized.) Each of us is now a part of his resurrection body, refreshed and sustained at one fountain — his Spirit — where we all come to drink. The old labels we once used to identify ourselves — labels like Jew or Greek, slave or free — are no longer useful. We need something larger, more comprehensive.

14 I want you to think about how all this makes you more significant, not less. A body isn’t just a single part blown up into something huge. It’s all the different-but-similar parts arranged and functioning together.  MSG

EPH 2:13 But now, wow! Everything has changed; you have discovered yourselves to be located in Christ. What once seemed so distant is now so near; his blood reveals your redeemed innocence and authentic genesis.

14 It is in him that we are one and at peace with everyone; he dissolved every definition of division.  MIRROR

EPH 4:4 There is only one body and one Spirit. We are inseparably one, in the same hope; there is no plan B. We bear the same surname.

5 There is only one legitimate Lordship; one faith and one baptism; we are all immersed in the same oneness!

6 There is only one God. He remains the ultimate Father of the universe. We are because he is. He is present in all; he is above all, through all, and in all.

7 The gift of Christ measures the extravagant dimensions of grace; where everyone is equally advantaged.

8 Scripture confirms that he arrested every possible threat that held mankind hostage! [“he took captivity captive”] And in his resurrection, he led us as trophies in his triumphant procession on high. Consider the genius of God, in the incarnate Christ, he repossessed what belonged to us by design, in human form; this is his grace-gift to us! MIRROR

Eph 4:4 You were all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, so stay together, both outwardly and inwardly.

5 You have one Master, one faith, one baptism,

6 one God and Father of all, who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all. Everything you are and think and do is permeated with Oneness.

7 But that doesn’t mean you should all look and speak and act the same. Out of the generosity of Christ, each of us is given his own gift.

8 The text for this is, He climbed the high mountain, He captured the enemy and seized the booty, He handed it all out in gifts to the people. MSG

Eph 4:25 What this adds up to, then, is this: no more lies, no more pretense. Tell your neighbor the truth. In Christ’s body we’re all connected to each other, after all. When you lie to others, you end up lying to yourself. MSG

1 Peter 3:8 Summing up: Be agreeable, be sympathetic, be loving, be compassionate, be humble.

9 That goes for all of you, no exceptions. No retaliation. No sharp-tongued sarcasm. Instead, bless — that’s your job, to bless. You’ll be a blessing and also get a blessing. MSG

PHIL 2:2 Your Christ mindedness completes my delight! You co-echo the same agape; we are soul mates, resonating the same thoughts.

3 No hidden agenda with a compromised mixture of leaven or empty philosophical flattery can match a mind that genuinely values others above oneself.

4 To discover your own completeness in Christ frees you to turn your attention away from yourself to others!

5 The way Jesus saw himself is the only valid way to see yourself!

COL 3:15 Appoint the peace of Christ as umpire in your hearts. We are all identified in the same person; there is only one body. We are born to be a blessing and exhibit his benevolence.

16 Give the clarity of God’s conversation in Christ permanent residence in you; allow it’s magnificence to permeate your entire being. Celebrate God. From this rich reservoir of the heart, continue to instruct one another with inspired thoughts; making music with stringed instruments and spirit infused songs that articulate the nuances of grace.

17  Your every conversation and the detail of your daily conduct reflect him; his name and Lordship define your lives and inspire your deep gratitude to God the Father for his grace.  MIRROR

THE TREASURE THE PRIZE 11-20-22

THE TREASURE THE PRIZE 11-20-22  VIDEO idenity he is my

The prize with all humility. What is it about some of the heroes of faith that kept them on target. They were aware of a kingdom that was not of this world. They kept their eyes on the prize. Then you even though they faced hard times there was always so much life and good to be gained. In the end God is our prize and we are His.

Phil 3:7 But whatever former things I had that might have been gains to me, I have come to consider as [one combined] loss for Christ’s sake.

8 Yes, furthermore, I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege (the overwhelming preciousness, the surpassing worth, and supreme advantage) of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord and of progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him [of perceiving and recognizing and understanding Him more fully and clearly]. For His sake I have lost everything and consider it all to be mere rubbish (refuse, dregs), in order that I may win (gain) Christ (the Anointed One),

9 And that I may [actually] be found and known as in Him, not having any [self-achieved] righteousness that can be called my own, based on my obedience to the Law’s demands (ritualistic uprightness and supposed right standing with God thus acquired), but possessing that [genuine righteousness] which comes through faith in Christ (the Anointed One), the [truly] right standing with God, which comes from God by [saving] faith.

10 [For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]

11 That if possible I may attain to the [spiritual and moral] resurrection [that lifts me] out from among the dead [even while in the body].

12 Not that I have now attained [this ideal], or have already been made perfect, but I press on to lay hold of (grasp) and make my own, that for which Christ Jesus (the Messiah) has laid hold of me and made me His own.

13 I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,

14 I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward. AMP

PHIL 3:7 The sum total of my religious pedigree and sincere devotion amounts to zero! What we have been gifted with in Christ has reduced what once seemed so important, to meaningless information. To esteem the law is to your loss! Faith is your profit.

8 In fact, I have come to the conclusion that every association I have had with that which defined me before as a devout Jew, is by far eclipsed by what I have gained in knowing the Messiah. Jesus Christ and his masterful redemption define me now. Religion is like dog pooh; and it stinks, avoid stepping in it!

9-11 So here I am; found in Christ! I was looking in the wrong place all along! My own duty-and-guilt-driven religious endeavor snared me in the cul-de-sac maize of self-righteousness, sponsored by the law of works! The faith of Christ reveals my identity; righteousness defines who God believes that I really am. This righteousness is sourced in God and endorses the authority of faith.

12 To know even as I have always been known!

13 I am not boasting about this new-found-righteousness as if I came up with the idea; on the contrary, I have distanced myself from everything the DO IT YOURSELF -system of the law of works and willpower previously represented in my reference; now I am fully engaged with that to!

3:14 I have the prize of mankind’s redeemed innocence in full view; just like a champion athlete in the public games I refuse to be distracted by anything else. God has invited us in Christ, to lift up our eyes and realize our identity in him. MIRROR

PHIL 3:15  We who have discovered our perfect righteousness have our thoughts anchored in Christ. If you still see yourself as imperfect, God will reveal to you that you are wasting your time to imagine that you can become more accepted and righteous than what you already are!

PHIL 3:20 Our citizenship is referenced in our joint position with Christ in heavenly places! heaven is not our goal, it is our starting point! Our understanding is sourced in a Savior; we fully embrace the Lord Jesus Christ!

21 The salvation that Jesus is the author of, re-fashions these bodies of clay and elevates us to fully participate in the same pattern of his heavenly glory! The severe contradiction that we might often face in the frailty of the flesh, is by far surpassed by the glorious splendor displayed in his human body raised from the dead; according to the working of God’s dynamic power he imprints the mirror pattern of his likeness in us. Thus he subdues all things to himself. MIRROR

1 Cor 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners compete, but [only] one receives the prize? So run [your race] that you may lay hold [of the prize] and make it yours.

25 Now every athlete who goes into training conducts himself temperately and restricts himself in all things. They do it to win a wreath that will soon wither, but we [do it to receive a crown of eternal blessedness] that cannot wither.

26 Therefore I do not run uncertainly (without definite aim). I do not box like one beating the air and striking without an adversary.

27 But [like a boxer] I buffet my body [handle it roughly, discipline it by hardships] and subdue it, for fear that after proclaiming to others the Gospel and things pertaining to it, I myself should become unfit [not stand the test, be unapproved and rejected as a counterfeit]. AMP

3 Just think of Him Who endured from sinners such grievous opposition and bitter hostility against Himself [reckon up and consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you may not grow weary or exhausted, losing heart and relaxing and fainting in your minds.

4 You have not yet struggled and fought agonizingly against sin, nor have you yet resisted and withstood to the point of pouring out your [own] blood.  AMP

Col 2:18 Let no one defraud you by acting as an umpire and declaring you unworthy and disqualifying you for the prize, insisting on self-abasement and worship of angels, taking his stand on visions [he claims] he has seen, vainly puffed up by his sensuous notions and inflated by his unspiritual thoughts and fleshly conceit,

19 And not holding fast to the Head, from Whom the entire body, supplied and knit together by means of its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God.

Revelation 3:7 Write the following to the messenger of the congregation in Philadelphia, for these are the solemn words of the Holy One, the true one, who has David’s key, who opens doors that none can shut and who closes doors that none can open:

8I know all that you’ve done. Now I have set before you a wide-open door that none can shut. For I know that you possess only a little power, yet you’ve kept my word and haven’t denied my name.

9Watch how I deal with those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews but are not, for they’re lying. I will make them come and bow down at your feet and acknowledge how much I’ve loved you.

10Because you’ve passionately kept my message of perseverance, I will also keep you from the hour of proving that is coming to test every person on earth.

11But I come swiftly, so cling tightly to what you have, so that no one may seize your crown of victory.

12For the one who is victorious, I will make you to be a pillar in the sanctuary of my God, permanently secure. I will write on you the name of my God and the name of the city of my God—the New Jerusalem, descending from my God out of heaven. And I’ll write my own name on you.

13So the one whose heart is open let him listen carefully to what the Spirit is now saying to all the churches.  TPT

1 Cor 12:4 God’s various gifts are handed out everywhere; but they all originate in God’s Spirit.

5 God’s various ministries are carried out everywhere; but they all originate in God’s Spirit.

6 God’s various expressions of power are in action everywhere; but God himself is behind it all.

7 Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people!

8 The variety is wonderful: wise counsel clear understanding

9 simple trust healing the sick

10 miraculous acts proclamation distinguishing between spirits tongues interpretation of tongues.

11 All these gifts have a common origin, but are handed out one by one by the one Spirit of God. He decides who gets what, and when. MSG

1 Corinthians 12:4 It is the same Holy Spirit who continues to distribute many different varieties of gifts.

5The Lord Yahweh is one, and he is the one who apportions to believers different varieties of ministries.

6The same God distributes different kinds of miracles that accomplish different results through each believer’s gift and ministry as he energizes and activates them.

7Each believer is given continuous revelation by the Holy Spirit to benefit not just himself but all.

8For example: The Spirit gives to one the gift of the word of wisdom. To another, the same Spirit gives the gift of the word of revelation knowledge.

9And to another, the same Spirit gives the gift of faith. And to another, the same Spirit gives gifts of healing.

10And to another the power to work miracles. And to another the gift of prophecy.

And to another the gift to discern what the Spirit is speaking. And to another the gift of speaking different kinds of tongues. And to another the gift of interpretation of tongues.

11Remember, it is the same Holy Spirit who distributes, activates, and operates these different gifts as he chooses for each believer.  TPT

Gal 5:22 Your spirit effortlessly bears the rich harvest of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, integrity, gentleness and self control; all these individually reveal the irresistible attraction of the inner-life of our design.

5:23 Legalism can neither match nor contradict this. There is no law against love! (Love does not compete with law; love is extravagant in its exhibition of the Christ life.)

5:24 Those who understand that their righteousness is of Christ and that it does not come as a reward for their ability to keep the law, have discovered that their flesh with its dictates and lusts were co-crucified with Christ. (Gal 2:20; see also Gal 5:18.)

5:25 Because faith defines us and not flesh, we take our lead from the spirit in our daily conduct. There is an authority in our step; we are marching in rank like soldiers!

5:26 Quit your efforts to try and impress one another. The law of works reduces your life to envious comparison and petty competition, while love only always seeks the advantage of the other! Mirror

Gal 5:22 But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard — things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments,

23 not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.

Legalism is helpless in bringing this about; it only gets in the way. 24 Among those who belong to Christ, everything connected with getting our own way and mindlessly responding to what everyone else calls necessities is killed off for good — crucified.

25 Since this is the kind of life we have chosen, the life of the Spirit, let us make sure that we do not just hold it as an idea in our heads or a sentiment in our hearts, but work out its implications in every detail of our lives.

26 That means we will not compare ourselves with each other as if one of us were better and another worse. We have far more interesting things to do with our lives. Each of us is an original. MSG

EPH 4:11 What God has in us, is gift wrapped to the world: some are commissioned to pioneer, others are gifted prophetically, some as announcers of good news, some as shepherds with a real gift to care and nurture, and others have a gift to ignite instruction through revelation knowledge.

12 Each expression of his gift is to fully equip and enable you for the work of the ministry so that you may mutually contribute in your specific function to give definition to the visible body of Christ.

13 The purpose of these ministry gifts is to present everyone on par and in oneness of faith; believing exactly what the Son of God believes and knowing accurately what he knows concerning us. Standing face-to-face in equal stature to the measure of the completeness of Christ.   MIRROR

Ephesians 4:11 And he has appointed some with grace to be apostles, and some with grace to be prophets, and some with grace to be evangelists, and some with grace to be pastors, and some with grace to be teachers.

12And their calling is to nurture and prepare all the holy believers to do their own works of ministry, and as they do this they will enlarge and build up the body of Christ.

13These grace ministries will function until we all attain oneness into the faith, until we all experience the fullness of what it means to know the Son of God, and finally we become one into a perfect man with the full dimensions of spiritual maturity and fully developed into the abundance of Christ.

14And then our immaturity will end! And we will not be easily shaken by trouble, nor led astray by novel teachings or by the false doctrines of deceivers who teach clever lies. TPT

Luke 18:7 And will not [our just] God defend and protect and avenge His elect (His chosen ones), who cry to Him day and night? Will He defer them and delay help on their behalf?

8 I tell you, He will defend and protect and avenge them speedily. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [persistence in] faith on the earth?  AMP

Luke 18:7  So what makes you think God won’t step in and work justice for his chosen people, who continue to cry out for help? Won’t he stick up for them?

8 I assure you, he will. He will not drag his feet. But how much of that kind of persistent faith will the Son of Man find on the earth when he returns?”   MSG

Mark 11:22 And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly].

Mark 11:22 Jesus was matter-of-fact: “Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it,

23 and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, ‘Go jump in the lake’ — no shuffling or shilly-shallying — and it’s as good as done.

24 That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything. MSG

HEB 11:1 Persuasion confirms confident expectation and proves the unseen world to be more real than the seen. Faith celebrates as certain what hope visualizes as future.

HEB 11:6 It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.  MSG

17Elijah was a man with human frailties, just like all of us, but he prayed and received supernatural answers.
