HEAVENLY- above the sky: celestial, (in) heaven (-ly), high. In or above heaven, heavenly existing in heaven: the things that take place in heaven, i. e. the purposes of God to grant salvation to men through the death of Christ: the heavenly regions, the abode of God and angels: the heavenly temple or sanctuary: of heavenly origin and nature.

Prayer is more of the heart than the tongue The heart is like our “prayer closet”- our secret place- God answers us from His heart (secret place) Closing the door to all outside distractions,

Matt 6:5 Also when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by people. Truly I tell you, they have their reward in full already.
6 But when you pray, go into your [most] private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.
7 And when you pray, do not heap up phrases (multiply words, repeating the same ones over and over) as the Gentiles do, for they think they will be heard for their much speaking.

Jesus could see in the Spirit as He prayed-He was aware of what was going on.

TIME Intercession paints a picture that no praying is in vain but intercessory prayer is reserved for release just when it is needed the most. Prayer for even those who aren’t born.

Rom 8:11 It stands to reason, doesn’t it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he’ll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? 33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

34 So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.  AMP

 

1 Peter 5:7  Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.   AMP

Transfer ALL our worries to Him. Personal-your cares-not just your cares in general but specific, the anxiety.

GOD CARES- To think about, pay attention to, consider.  it is a care to him.

Phil 4:6  Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.

7 Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. MSG

 

Phil 1:28  And do not [for a moment] be frightened or intimidated in anything by your opponents and adversaries, for such [constancy and fearlessness] will be a clear sign (proof and seal) to them of [their impending] destruction, but [a sure token and evidence] of your deliverance and salvation, and that from God.  AMP

 

Heb 13:5  Don’t be obsessed with getting more material things. Be relaxed with what you have. Since God assured us, “I’ll never let you down, never walk off and leave you,”

Heart -nothing comparing to him, Love is ready to give up, step out or suffer anything.

Soul- all our  life. Ready to serve Him with advantages as well as ready to give our life away if needed

Strength- all the power of your body to the service of God.

Mind- all intellect  to know Gods holy will.

 

Rom 13:8  Keep out of debt and owe no man anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor [who practices loving others] has fulfilled the Law [relating to one’s fellowmen, meeting all its requirements]. AMP

 

2 Cor 8:5  Nor [was this gift of theirs merely the contribution] that we expected, but first they gave themselves to the Lord and to us [as His agents] by the will of God [entirely disregarding their personal interests, they gave as much as they possibly could, having put themselves at our disposal to be directed by the will of God]–AMP

 

2 Corinthians 9:8  And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].  AMP

Rom 14:17  God’s kingdom isn’t a matter of what you put in your stomach, for goodness’ sake. It’s what God does with your life as he sets it right, puts it together, and completes it with joy.

Mark 8:35  Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to saving yourself, your true self.

1 Peter 3:21 The waters of baptism do that for you, not by washing away dirt from your skin but by presenting you through Jesus’ resurrection before God with a clear conscience. MSG

Rom 3:25  God sacrificed Jesus on the altar of the world to clear that world of sin. Having faith in him sets us in the clear. God decided on this course of action in full view of the public — to set the world in the clear with himself through the sacrifice of Jesus, finally taking care of the sins he had so patiently endured. Heb 9:26 For then would He often have had to suffer [over and over again] since the foundation of the world. But as it now is, He has once for all at the consummation and close of the ages appeared to put away and abolish sin by His sacrifice [of Himself].  AMP

Rom 7:17  But I need something more! For if I know the law but still can’t keep it, and if the power of sin within me keeps sabotaging my best intentions, I obviously need help!

25 The answer, thank God, is that Jesus Christ can and does. He acted to set things right in this life of contradictions where I want to serve God with all my heart and mind, but am pulled by the influence of sin to do something totally different.

Rom 8:1 With the arrival of Jesus, the Messiah, that fateful dilemma is resolved. Those who enter into Christ’s being-here-for-us no longer have to live under a continuous, low-lying black cloud.

2 A new power is in operation. The Spirit of life in Christ, like a strong wind, has magnificently cleared the air, freeing you from a fated lifetime of brutal tyranny at the hands of sin and death.

3 God went for the jugular when he sent his own Son. He didn’t deal with the problem as something remote and unimportant. In his Son, Jesus, he personally took on the human condition, entered the disordered mess of struggling humanity in order to set it right once and for all. The law code, weakened as it always was by fractured human nature, could never have done that. The law always ended up being used as a Band-Aid on sin instead of a deep healing of it.

4 And now what the law code asked for but we couldn’t deliver is accomplished as we, instead of redoubling our own efforts, simply embrace what the Spirit is doing in us.  MSG

 

GUILT   Prov 16:6 Guilt is banished through love and truth; Fear-of-GOD deflects evil. MSG

1 John 5:18 We know [absolutely] that anyone born of God does not [deliberately and knowingly] practice committing sin, but the One Who was begotten of God carefully watches over and protects him [Christ’s divine presence within him preserves him against the evil], and the wicked one does not lay hold (get a grip) on him or touch [him].   AMP

1 John 5:18  We know that none of the God-begotten makes a practice of sin — fatal sin. The God-begotten are also the God-protected. The Evil One can’t lay a hand on them. MSG

 

Rom 10:11  The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed.   AMP

 

Rom 4:25  Who was betrayed and put to death because of our misdeeds and was raised to secure our justification (our acquittal), [making our account balance and absolving us from all guilt before God].  AMP

 

Heb 1:3 He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high,  AMP

 

Ps 32:5 Then I let it all out; I said, “I’ll make a clean breast of my failures to GOD.” Suddenly the pressure was gone — my guilt dissolved, my sin disappeared.

1 Cor 4:3 It matters very little to me what you think of me, even less where I rank in popular opinion. I don’t even rank myself. Comparisons in these matters are pointless.

Gal 2:20  Christ’s life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not “mine,” but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

21 I am not going to go back on that. Is it not clear to you that to go back to that old rule-keeping, peer-pleasing religion would be an abandonment of everything personal and free in my relationship with God? I refuse to do that, to repudiate God’s grace. If a living relationship with God could come by rule-keeping, then Christ died unnecessarily. MSG

 

Ps 85:2 You lifted the cloud of guilt from your people, you put their sins far out of sight. MSG

We worship cause it makes us feel better. For healing, breakthrough. But worship is because He is Worthy. Worthy-weighty, valuable of great worth.

Acts 17:23 When I arrived here the other day, I was fascinated with all the shrines I came across. And then I found one inscribed, To The God Nobody Knows. I’m here to introduce you to this God so you can worship intelligently, know who you’re dealing with.

24 “The God who made the world and everything in it, this Master of sky and land, doesn’t live in custom-made shrines

25 or need the human race to run errands for him, as if he couldn’t take care of himself. He makes the creatures; the creatures don’t make him.

26 Starting from scratch, he made the entire human race and made the earth hospitable, with plenty of time and space for living

27 so we could seek after God, and not just grope around in the dark but actually find him. He doesn’t play hide-and-seek with us. He’s not remote; he’s near.

28 We live and move in him, can’t get away from him! One of your poets said it well: ‘We’re the God-created.’  MSG

Rom 12:1  So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life — your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life — and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.

2 Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. MSG

We worship Him in the Beauty of His Holiness and in the reflection of His Holy Array.

We during worship as in a mirror reflect His Glory right back to HIm. Much like Jesus

was the exact outray of the Father. WE Echo back HIs words to Him. to show Him our support. He reflects both His character and His support back from us so we can go from one degree of glory to another. HONOR GLORY MAJESTY MIGHT

Sometimes we just go through the motions in worship. Jesus tells this woman that they worship what they do not know. Tradition, doctrine, limited to a certain placebut worship is experienced. It is Spirit and Truth. It is heartfelt. Relationship. Entering in with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength

Acts 27:23 For this [very] night there stood by my side an angel of the God to Whom I belong and Whom I serve and worship,  AMP

 

Heb 12:28 Let us therefore, receiving a kingdom that is firm and stable and cannot be shaken, offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship, with modesty and pious care and godly fear and awe;  AMP

6 And there between the throne and the four living creatures (beings) and among the elders [of the heavenly Sanhedrin] I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God [the sevenfold Holy Spirit] Who have been sent [on duty far and wide] into all the earth.

7 He then went and took the scroll from the right hand of Him Who sat on the throne.

8 And when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders [of the heavenly Sanhedrin] prostrated themselves before the Lamb. Each was holding a harp (lute or guitar), and they had golden bowls full of incense (fragrant spices and gums for burning), which are the prayers of God’s people (the saints).

9 And [now] they sing a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the scroll and to break the seals that are on it, for You were slain (sacrificed), and with Your blood You purchased men unto God from every tribe and language and people and nation.   AMP

—“Pity” is an emotional response based on fear and misunderstanding. We “look down into a pit” and see someone in a condition very different from ourselves.  It does not considering how we might help the person get out. We become so consumed by fear (“Oh, what if that were me—thank God that’s not me—I couldn’t imagine living like that!” It restricts our response to actions that will preserve our position of power.

—“Compassion,” by contrast, is “coming alongside another human being”. The ability to get right inside the other person’s skin until we see and feel as they do. It moves us to action. The “passion” at the end of the word implies the heart has to be deeply engaged.  We see someone eye to eye, even when that’s uncomfortable for us.  We relate to and interact with them on the basis of our shared humanity,

 

John 4:9 The Samaritan woman said to Him, How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me, a Samaritan [and a] woman, for a drink? — For the Jews have nothing to do with the Samaritans —

10 Jesus answered her, If you had only known and had recognized God’s gift and Who this is that is saying to you, Give Me a drink, you would have asked Him [instead] and He would have given you living water.  AMP

John 4:25 The woman said to Him, I know that Messiah is coming, He Who is called the Christ (the Anointed One); and when He arrives, He will tell us everything we need to know and make it clear to us.

39 Is that going to get us anywhere? Here’s what I propose: ‘Don’t hit back at all.’ If someone strikes you, stand there and take it.

40 If someone drags you into court and sues for the shirt off your back, giftwrap your best coat and make a present of it.

41 And if someone takes unfair advantage of you, use the occasion to practice the servant life.

42 No more tit-for-tat stuff. Live generously.

45 for then you are working out of your true selves, your God-created selves. This is what God does. He gives his best — the sun to warm and the rain to nourish — to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty.

46 If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that.

47 If you simply say hello to those who greet you, do you expect a medal? Any run-of-the-mill sinner does that.

48 “In a word, what I’m saying is, Grow up. You’re kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you. MSG

 

Ps 145:8 The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving-kindness.  AMP

Heb 12:5 So don’t feel sorry for yourselves. Or have you forgotten how good parents treat children, and that God regards you as his children? My dear child, don’t shrug off God’s discipline, but don’t be crushed by it either.

6 It’s the child he loves that he disciplines; the child he embraces, he also corrects.

7 God is educating you; that’s why you must never drop out. He’s treating you as dear children. This trouble you’re in isn’t punishment; it’s training,

8 the normal experience of children. Only irresponsible parents leave children to fend for themselves. Would you prefer an irresponsible God?

9 We respect our own parents for training and not spoiling us, so why not embrace God’s training so we can truly live?

10 While we were children, our parents did what seemed best to them. But God is doing what is best for us, training us to live God’s holy best.

11 At the time, discipline isn’t much fun. It always feels like it’s going against the grain. Later, of course, it pays off handsomely, for it’s the well-trained who find themselves mature in their relationship with God.

12 So don’t sit around on your hands! No more dragging your feet!

13 Clear the path for long-distance runners so no one will trip and fall, so no one will step in a hole and sprain an ankle. Help each other out. And run for it! MSG
